Actually, that rivalry is bigger for Argentinians, their players and fans. Of course there's that feeling in Brazilian side, but not that much.

I don't know why, but I after Brazil has won all that it's won, 5 world cups, leading FIFA ranking through so many years, having some ballon d'ors etc, then came the 7-1 at home, the politics trouble, Brazilian people stopped to care too much.

Something has to be said: despite the rivalry it never came to incidents between players or fans. Many players are even very good friends e.g. Neymar and Messi. Rivalry makes football and it' s always a pleasure to watch the confrontations between those big football nations.

Argentina defeated Brazil indeed. However in general we defeat them most of the times since 1993. I was even getting tired of winning them so much. I'm happy for messi, at least he can win something important for his national team since WC is not gonna happen.

@@anonymous5392 I never doubt Argentina being a very strong candidate of winning ANY WC. I never underestimate it. However I'm just talking about what's likely to happen and not what's gonna happen. I just use statistics and according to it Argentina is gonna be a tough team to beat (might even get to the finals, why not?) but another teams are more likely to win it (like France, Italy even Brazil as always). I never forget Artentina's peformance in 2014 which everyone was just talking about Spain, Brazil, Belgium and forgot Argentina, everyone underestimated it and almost has won its third title.
