These look like States Crates leftovers, I enjoyed your video but these items seem like she is just trying to recoup bad sourcing choices.
Isn’t that what was stated That she (NS) was just trying to get rid of items? And Amber went in not assuming great brands?
I really like the style of this video, getting to see not only what you received but also showing us what each item is worth. You got way better items than I did, which isn't saying much. My box just had skirts in it, which are hard enough to sell. Between the ones that were brands not worth listing, the ones that were super dated looking, and the ones that had flaws, there was maybe 1 skirt left. It sucks because on IG she made it sound like these would be full of good items. Learned my lesson.
Sourcing is my favorite part of being a reseller. I love hunting for Lululemon and searching for dojos too much to order presourced. I was super curious about what was in these boxes and am happy I'm not missing out on a lot. Thanks for a great video!!

Sourcing is the reason I have a store. I love clothing and love finding it undervalued. It's an interesting concept though. I would not buy a box for sourcing reasons. It's what I love doing the most. It's an interesting twist from States Crates to Sourcing Boxes. The reality is that there is a ton of inventory out there that can be used for many different reasons. I pass on things all the time because I'm trying to stay focused...but it's hard to walk on by things and I'm continually wondering what to do about it..

No offense but there are much better options out there for sourcing product. I just finished packing two small items that sold for a total of $125 that I have less than $20 invested in. I try to keep it in the "no less than $30 profit per item range". A lot of resellers create WAY too much work for themselves. It's apparent that this seller you speak of is literally "offloading" her junk onto others. I can't respect that. I do however, respect the unbiased review without the ridiculous drama. I have been scared to sell boxes like this thinking mine wouldn't be enough but after this I feel more confident lol. I'm so glad to see a honest video! When you take that profit and think how much time its going to take to actually sell and than ship those items it becomes not worth it. I sold a lot of lower dollar at the beginning enjoying just the fact of a sale but all that find packing shipping burnt me out. And seeing my balance dollar amount hardly move I got fed up for a while and found another platform. You kept a great attitude the whole video which can be hard to do! I'm really loving your content and your video's seem to be exactly what I wonder about. I think with Nicole's boxes anyone buying would have to keep in mind, she was buying a whole bunch of whatever just to fill those states creates so the resale boxes are not hand picked and like you said she's still selling herself. With her whole following and the public bashing she takes, it intimidates smaller people like me who would actually be sending stuff bought knowing its value and was bought with the intent to sell myself. She messed up with ebay and is now flooding poshmark. Its sad she was my first main seller I started watching and now :(

I should have watched these reviews before I purchased one from her. I received 5 items and could maybe list 2. Lesson learned. So disappointed.

A box of crap.... shocking! That's a lot of work to list, ship, etc... for less than $50 profit and that is IF you can sell all those items. those very small sizes are usually slow to move. I would not have picked up a single piece of what was sent for resell.

I just got my box from her the same day, and I was a little disappointed. There were only 7 items in mine and one has a big yellow stain on it :( I emailed her that day about the stained item but no response. Your box looks great though!!

Seems like these boxes are for NEW resellers. Experienced resellers will gravitate toward a higher profit margin - time is money. I personally don't spend time selling Kohls brands.

This was very well done. You don’t get shaken or emotional. I am SO thankful I live in a large metro area for sourcing purposes. Resellers who have to depend on boxes like this to make it happen have a tough row to hoe. It’s possible that I’m a little over the top with washing, ironing, preparing and packaging to ship as if it’s the best gift in the world but that how I would want to feel opening something!! Lol
It would be tough to do all of that for items of this caliber.

Also purchased one of these and had similar findings... I can do better on my own. Got a nwt khols brand item but my LOFT sweater which would have sold best had holes and was held together with safety pins. :( Your box overall had better pieces than what I got. Not sure I will make my money back which ia dissapointing but live and learn!

I just don’t understand why people complain about this boxes. The boxes are called mystery boxes which means you can get good or bad staff and people who buys them need to keep that in mind.

Very good review, but you are way more optimistic than I am. I would be horribly disappointed that I spent any money on these items, that are sure to sit around in your closet. Aside from the Anthropologie, none of these are brands that are trending on Posh, and none of the items are trending styles.

Very informative and thorough!!! Nice video. I personally don’t think it would be worth the work to list most of those items. I’d end up trying to sell 3 or 4 of them to recoup my money paid. But I am rather picky about curating my posh closet so I’d never list some of those brands. Anyway great video!
Nicole State is gonna ruin shipping perks for the rest of us. that is a large flat rate box in which you shouldn't be using with poshmark. i've heard on many occasions has mismatched shipping labels to how things should be shipped. Plus why are these items not poly bagged. I thought with poshmark everything is way more classier then eBay. When a customer opens their box it should feel like a gift. She (or her staff) just threw it in the box like its a garage sale. Thank you for your honest video.

All that work listing, and shipping (if they sell) for $10. That's more than an hour of work. Lesson learned. Good luck.

Good job. Keep it up. I have just started reselling on ebay. I had sold personal items in the past, but started looking for items at yard sales. Not bad so far. I have been thinking of selling on Poshmark also.

You did a million times better than me. I got 2 Walmart items a Kmart item and Maurice’s. I only kept the Maurice’s. I don’t have a problem Walmart and Kmart brands but what I got was heavily pilling, old and grandma style. 😒

Marina Huizar although this goes back a Year, so makes no sensible at this point at the time I said so as she (Nicole) was misrepresenting contents of a “mystery box” by sending unsaleable rags to people, let’s hope she has stopped. She never will stop with the convict mentality, however, in all that she does, so it’s best to just stay far away, IMO

Great video! Just a note, as you do mire sourcing and buying items on sale, you will find that many times all that is left are the very small sizes. So it would make sense that she has a lot of those since she is a bulk buyer. Dana Buchanan is a nice brand that many women know from the days before Kohl’s took it. Thanks again!

Chelsea McDaniel I guess you don’t buy or sell much and then use the PO to Ship. I have received a lot of boxes with holes in them. If that happpens the product inside is totally exposed. There was a pure white shirt in that box.
Merritt Dotson I agree, so many new sellers just push things right in the mailer and ship without lint brushing, spot cleaning if necessary and placing it in clear poly bag, it makes us all look bad because new buyers have a low opinion of buying on eBay or posh or anywhere else. Still sitting her in my office working on cases and listening to CZcams and all the drama among this community today. So happy to see how totally professional you are. I see this channel taking off in a wild minute b/c I think we are all tired of the drama. I get that both sides have their points of view, but I am here b/c I want to learn and grow and build my business. I will learn from any human that can teach me no matter their gender, race, color, etc. I will sell my products to the same and be thrilled doing it. I will buy products from the same without checking their gender, race, color, religion and flavor of ice cream that suits them. I will say this, though. The women I've followed on YT, IG, and FB have helped me immensely with selling on various platforms and I appreciate all of them. Everybody has some bit of experience to offer. The drama going on today, however, within the "triangle" of three well-known content providers is disheartening. Yo, Amber! Get those tests passed so you can provide much more content. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the total authenticity on this channel.
I love this comment! I have to be honest though and say I do not know if I'm 100% free of drama. I think the reseller box reviews invite drama since I'm critiquing someone else's business instead of just focusing on my own.....but they are so interesting for me and you all like them, so I'll likely continue to do them.

@@AmberResells You're not about creating drama, though. And the way you handle the critique is without public bias. It's important for us all to have the information you present. You're not presenting in a way that is insulting to the seller even if what's in the box isn't as profitable as a box of 10 items should be. $7 is very reasonable per item. The fact that you say the box is profitable for those who might not want to source on their own is testament to a good point/counterpoint discussion. I would love to source from my couch while watching Netflix and then ship from my home office while eating popcorn. I love the hunt, though. A lot of people are going to get tired of the constant fights among channels and move to what really helps them make money. I think you're going to be one of the ones people go to. Hope you have a great weekend. I flex on Fridays so I'm off the next four days to hunt December's sales like those folks on Naked and Afraid hunting for a 7-11 Slurpee. Hope it doesn't rain.

Dana Buchman is a top designer -- new with tags you should do well with her if not you should sell it on ebay. I haven't seen any of her stuff lately.
If your profit margins is this low you would never benefit from buying and reselling this way unless you were unable to source yourself. In todays world there is so much stuff to buy out at thrift stores, Yard sales, personal ads on craigslist and so on... If you are looking to buy in bulk and resell buying from a reseller probably isn't the best bet. I understand the whole idea she has to supply resellers with inventory but i think that if she wanted to make it in the bulk selling business she would need to quite her reselling business and only move the inventory she buys to her customers who order from her, at that point she would be able to focus on her customers service and quality of items more and make her business more profitable and respectable. But when it comes down to those of you looking to find and buy good profitable items to resell nothing beats going out yourself and searching for deals. The profit margins on items bought at yard sales is ridiculous and cannot be beat buying from wholesalers like states place. Great video, Great review. I don't sell a whole lot of clothing and what little bit i do sell is usually vintage stuff or my t shirts but i love watching other resellers and i stumbled upon your channel so i subbed.

Basically she sends out stuff that won’t sell in mystery boxes. I’ve done reseller boxes but I lost and show everything that comes in the box. Giving you the customer a chance to research those items and make an informed decision. What she’s doing is wrong. She knows what you will get for that stuff aka nada.
Thanks for posting this. I've been curious to see the types of things inside these reseller or mystery boxes. When I see them for sale my gut instinct is that they probably wont be worth it. I agree there is just not enough profit there. btw, I think the red Dana Buchman item is a rain coat not a top.

I also have ordered a box from her, and I was extremely disappointed. I didn't keep all of it. I sent some to Goodwill, and the rest may go to Platos. Only 1 or 2 will be listed out of the 15 I received. Outdated pieces, and stuff from Forever 21 and target. 2 didn't even have brand tags and clearly weren't of value. These are things I wouldnt even pick up at the bins. I'm so glad to see this video, and I've had other resellers say the same. I'm sure I would have made my money back, but it wouldn't be worth my time or supplies really.

I didnt order my mystery box on posh I did it on instagram / paypal. And even if I'm not happy with what is in a mystery box, you can't report someone for what comes in it because it's a " mystery"

I enjoyed your video and how you show how you look up comps but this box was not worth the money in my opinion. I also purchased a box a plus sized one and 2 of the items I couldn’t resale because of the condition and it was a lot of outdated and probably bad buys on her end pawning off to be someone else’s problem. Not worth it to me 🤷🏽♀️

Someones video popped up in my suggestion feed, it was a girl complaininng about these boxes. I had just started watching Nicole’s channel and then I found that video and it kinda turned me off from her lol. Glad you did this unboxing though! If it were me, I would be very unhappy with those items and would just redonate most of them!

Hi - great video - thanks for doing it - the only comment I have is that I think that Dana Buchman piece was a Jacket, not a shirt. Therefore it would go for more. Even though it's Kohl's, its a good brand. And that BEBE blouse was super cute - that's amazing that was in there!
I am left bothered by the fact I can't ship the same box on Ebay for $6.50.

thomas parisi you are allowed to use flat rate boxes with the Poshmark priority labels. I send single items on flat rate envelopes all the time

Poshmark shipping is flat rate 6.49 as long as it’s under 5 lb. They have a deal with USPS where sellers can use any size Priority mail box.
If Ebay could negotiate a flat rate such as this it would be a game changer for many sellers.

FYI... I'm an XS, especially if it stretches. And I have a hard time finding stuff, and settle for a Small. So when I get ready to list on Poshmark, I'll be selling those Size Small items that didn't fit. I'm really enjoying your videos, Amber! 💕
So pretty much Nicole sent you the stuff she knew she would have a hard time reselling herself. Very typical of her. She is the type that wont do anything for anybody if there is nothing in it for her. Didnt have that opinion of her until recently.
Let's be honest any reseller that puts together a "mystery" or reseller box, are not going to send you shit they can sell at a good profit on their own. Wouldn't make sense. But I will say from watching Nicole as well as many other resellers channels for a while, in her case, she really has waaaaaaaaay to much stuff, and needs to unload some of it.
Well Carly nailed it, and why would anyone think different. Of course she is getting rid of her death pile, if you want to be a lazy reseller than sure you can make a little money. If you want a real business, than you have to work for it.

If someone doesn't like sourcing then reselling is not for them. Buying from such an experienced reseller to make a profit reselling is something almost impossible.Good review

Dont forget that your search included closet plus boutique... The boutique items are new with tags so yes they usually sell for higher prices.

This is an old video now, but Nicole state was considered to be quite an amazing reseller at one point and I was quite the fan and over the years I have learned that I was a little optimistic. I’m not exactly sure of how she does business overall, I’ve just seen what I have gotten from her and I was not impressed and I have heard of people being terribly disappointed. You did a fair review and you didn’t just come off like a hater which honestly kept me on her side for a long time because you know haters hate. I don’t hate her. I just think that she’s lost her way with the integrity of her reselling.
I wish she would double down and focus on quality items and integrity and what she’s advertising/delivering. She had a great way of communicating and teaching, and I learned a lot from her and I can’t take that away from her. I just wish she would get back to basics and do the right thing.

girlllll i loooove this video omg! A lot of these look like they will sell on Ebay more than Poshmark. The loft will sell for at least 18 on Ebay. You got some good stuff, you will get a nice profit from this box. I mayyyyyy have the guts to buy her mystery box.

AmberMontana it won’t. That’s old tag Loft and the rest is junk aside from the Anthro jacket that is likely to sit until the fall. She sent you sizes that won’t sell and crappy brands.
Hope Walker maybe for some sellers won't but I've been able to sell old tag loft for over 15 I believe on Poshmark I believe I sold one for 18 but it had sequin and stuff. My own experience.
Rosa Klochkov right. It’s rare and based upon style. The junk NS sent her is gonna sit or sell for nothing v. Spending less and getting better inventory.
Ann Taylor Loft is extremely over saturated on eBay. You might have gotten lucky with a good sale, but it’s hard to give that stuff away anymore.
This was very interesting, I’m a reseller but don’t think I would buy clothes in this manner to resell, I do buy bags when I see them cheap enough online, and resell, I agree you should go to the thrift store and be in control of your items🦋

Crazy/Wonderful O. Family new sellers will make bad choices if they follow her lame advice and methods, I think she's a liar because proof doesn't always match what she says, people say owes money, I've seen her bullyother sellers and fans, as she calls them.
@Posh Babe Is she the nicest person in the world or best business partner...probably not but that's irrelevant to me. When I started reselling I learned from her her bolo brands, style vs Rn numbers and how to use "sold" listings to my benefit. What she did to Lindey Glenn really let me down but I have to be grateful for what I picked up from her. As far as Casey & "Jessica Smith" goes, I believe they are exploiting other ppls issues for ratings while Nicole still keeps her videos about thrifting.
NS info is 95% inaccurate. She is barely breaking even and fugdes her numbers. She breaks policies. She rips off people. If that's your business model go for it.
@Public Figure Don't insult me, if u feel the need to voice your opinion about her than type your own damn comment instead being a trouble maker by replying to somebody else's comment who clearly doesn't feel the same as u do. I'm sorry if she has done this to u personally but I doubt any of u has seen her books so I don't know where u come up with your NS "statistics"(hear-say or some anonymous persons videos?). I don't know about your "business model" but mine is worrying about my customers & my OWN business instead of somebody elses.

If Nicole sees you have a channel or followers she will try a little harder to make a decent box, your channel is not big enough yet, she obviously didn't deem you worthy yet, not enough to help her out with more business.

I agree. If you are a nobody to her you get the junk she can't sell herself. She proved that when she mailed out her statescrates. People she knew would share with followers got good stuff while everyone else got stuck with grandmas old pilled up walmart sweatpants.

Be sure and scrub your hands and wherever the clothes touched. Most likely they are from the bins and of course we all know the yuk, mice, bugs, human secretions, animal yukky and mildew/ mold that are on the bin items. This seller does brag about sending out dirty items. She does not wash them as she stayed in her videos.

The only thing that makes me not care to support Nicole is the fact that she makes so much money but lives in an area where the amount she makes is still poverty and she stays there because they live by a nike center where she gets them new with tags. Now what bothers me is since she lives in an area where her income is still poverty wages, her kids go to a school where donations have to be sent for basic books and glue sticks. Now if those were my kids I would leave that area for the kids sake. Why spend $300 a day on inventory and be proud of how much you make when your kids education is suffering. I dont hate the girl, I just feel her focus is on the wrong thing. Great video by the way! Very informative!
Nicole sells way more than just Nike so shes not staying there just for that. You've got to consider that her older child has a different father who is involved in his kids life. She can't just up and leave. Secondly EVERY school needs and asks for donations. My son goes to a school rated 9/10 on greatschools.com and is in a very high end neighborhood but I get flyers and handouts every couple weeks about a new fundraiser or donation event. The internet is a great tool but you can never know someones full story from what they choose to share on it.
50smomma jcf I cant think of many things to defend Nicole on because I think she’s a narcissistic bitch. But, I do think she’s a good mother and fiercely loves her kids. If her kids weren’t getting a good education, I don’t think she’d stay in the area just because of a Nike factory. Schools can need donations and still have a wonderful staff and teaching methods.
She has to stay there because that's where Dez's dad lives.
I'm pretty sure the father would understand her wanting better education for her children and yes every school asks for donations but not in desperation because they dont have enough for the kids, they ask so they have a plentiful supply.

Hope Walker what's called "lying"? Do you know her personally? I don't. I dont even know enough to make a personal judgment about her. I'm appreciative for what she chooses to share. If I dont like it, I look elsewhere. I'm not perfect and I certainly dont have the thick skin to put myself out there to be critiqued as they are. State your opinion and move on. To continually state it and make videos about it feels like bullying and I want no part of that. We dont know what people are dealing with in their lives. Be kind. I think we've all seen recently how delicate and fragile people are.

And good for you for being appreciative. What is your point? That we shouldn’t point out the deception or the heinous business practices because it hurts your personal sensibilities? If so, get real. I went from already doing eBay, letgo, offerup, fb market, to 6 months on offerup and realizing how dead the app is so i tried poshmark. I do all my research from eBay on the sold listings. Then i might look at poshmarks listing and usually ill go with the eBay price on poshmark. The sold listings will show where the market is. The non sold listings wont help. Somethings are just prriced to high.
She sold you a box full of garbage really. All small sizes and brands I would never buy. Except maybe Lane Bryant or j crew and anthropology. But not in those pieces
I just went through and watched this video for a second time. I also purchased a box from NS and was about to post a video but I recently saw someone else do a review of her box and people were really nasty in the comments! I loved your approach. Mine is not as thorough of a review, more of an unboxing but I think I will post the video anyway...

Venezia is Walmart/Target junk. NWT you’d be luck to get $12 for them. Old tag Loft that is XS will take forever to sell and you’ll get about $7-8 if you are lucky. Lane Bryant is flooded, even in plus. It will sit forever and there is no way you will get $18 for them. No chance. XS jacket won’t sell until the fall but it’s Anthro so you will sell it for around $20 if you hold it. Ann Klein only sells if it is NWT and it will sit. A Petite AK is a joke. $5 if lucky used. I could go on but you get the drift. She is dumping her junk on the community. You can get sooooo much better by focused searches in your own thrift and even more at the bins. I spent $10 at the bins two days ago and I’m already in profit over $100. I spent 15 minutes in there.

Shawna Thomas actually it’s not. They sell clothing in all sizes. And if it sells well for you, then you’re selling NWT or so cheap you’re giving it away after it sits. Clearly I am talking about the junk Nicole sent her and the usual rubbish one finds on eBay.

Brand is only part of the equation in almost everything sold on eBay. She got a box of junk and Nicole go to dump her assistant’s bin errors. Best of Luck.

Excellent review video. I like how you showed potential profit in a realistic way. I think these boxes are good for beginners or people who have limited places to source. Not much profit but a good way to get started.
