In regards to the Bortasqu's Bird of Prey console that was unbound, but is currently making ships that aren't a Bortasqu' variant invisible:
A lot of you are talking about the Jem'hadar Vanguard Carrier's console that launches a pet from the model of the ship, much like the HoH'SuS bird of prey, but is also usable on other ships because it uses a different warp-in animation on them. I hadn't thought of this while I was filming, but it was brought up on Ten Forward Weekly that day (I was still editing at the time). The issue there is that the HoH'SuS console is very old, so there's no guarantee they'll be able to rework it in such a way. Yeah, if be nice if they could get the HoH'SuS to be useable on other ships without turning them invisible, but right now I'm not holding my breath for it because we don't know how difficult difficult it'll be for them, plus if even they do get it to work players will just start demanding that they make the same change to other consoles like the Aquarius set or Areoshuttle (as both of these ships already have Legendary versions).
The other big thing about this that I think needs to be addressed is that these aren't aren't good consoles. They're ancient, they have no passive buffs, the set bonuses aren't worth much, and the pets themselves do very little damage. Personally, I'd rather see Cryptic made new versions of these consoles. Give them proper passive stat buffs and buff the pet's damage output. Based on what Cryptic has has several times in the past, it often sounds like it's easier to make something new than to alter something that's old. It's usually more profitable too, depending on how its released.
Legendary Inquiry. That was an instant purchase once I saw that. Love that ship, now it is accountwide for me!

Same for me. Saw it and had to get it, because the stats fit way better to my playstyle than the original Inquiry, even though I got it from exchange some days after it was released.
I don't have the bundle yet, so I can't test this and as such could be way wrong, but i think that effect on the Disruptor Quads might be better than you think. That 10% reduction to Scatter Volley triggers per kill and there's no mention of a lockout. I'd be interested to see if a high DPS build using it with Withering Barrage could get 100% or close up time, at least in content with large numbers of weaker enemies.
OK, i remember reading that the one console that allows that one jemhadar ship to launch a small ship can be used on any other ship and it just has that ship warp in.. i assume the Bortas will have the same thing, and i can imagine the Aquarious Console can do this as well. the Scimitar consoles are amazing, even if you dont get the pulse from the set.
i will get this bundle when the next 35% bundle sale occurs..

I really wish the Legendary Bortas wasn't Command yet again (after all previous versions were Command and the Legendary Odyssey as well), but I guess there weren't a lot of options. I really hope the Legendary Negh'var - once it comes out - will be Temp Ops (because it appeared in two great time travel series finales - TNG and VOY). For the T5 unbinding of the set consoles of the Bortas ... apparently they didn't - not surprisingly - check thoroughly what the consoles will do on other ships (such as the Bird of Prey).
I'm cool with Bortasqu' being Command, but I agree, I like the idea of Legendary Negh'Var being Temporal.
The whole secondary hull on the new Inquiry needs to be brought down a few decks of height as well. Right now the deflector is blocked by the underside of the saucer. I think this would solve the other design issues you are having with it... except the floating dish of course
I could have sworn the Avenger material got a little love. It looks remarkably better than it did back in the day.
Avenger is my favorite ship in the game and the one my primary captain runs. There was no question I wasn't picking up this bundle the second I saw it. Plus, this lets me use my promo coupon for the Janeway for my Temp agent.

Weird choice with the Klingon ship, the parallels to the Avenger/Inquiry are the Kurak/Mogh, which were already robbed of the promo parallel to the Inquiry and a third set piece, this should have been their natural redemption and update instead of another flagship, even a new raptor would have made more sense (Miracle Worker Mat'Ha ?)

Me too. With T6-X2 now being a thing, it sucks that you're going to have to pick between upgrading one all the way, or getting both to just T6-X.
Agreed. It seemed like an oversight on their part. At least give us enough to X2 both from scratch.
I think when talking about the Bird of Prey console on the Bortasqu and saying they probably cant make it work on other ships i would remind you that the Linked command matrix console that summons a Heavy attack craft from the Jem'Hadar Vanguard carrier works fine on any ship. It has unique animations when it seperates from the main ship not unlike saucer seperation but when on other ships it just warps in behind you. I run this console on literally every carrier to get the max buff from the Strike group command authority trait. They can make it work if they want to.
I'm surprised they just didn't copy the vanguard carriers' console when trying to unbound that console, aka just summoning the ship when used on the other ships.
Both ships are very good, this bundle is worth getting.
Regarding the Ho'SuS being unbound, don't forget that on the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier, its summoned ship console can be used on other ships. When doing so, the summon simply warps in, as opposed to a nearly-identical animation to the Ho'SuS when used on the Vanguard Carrier. It also changes the maneuverability stats of the Vanguard Carrier, while making no such changes when used on other ships. I'd certainly rather they leave it unbound.
EDIT: That said, I have no interest in a Command-spec ship. If I want to run a torpedo build, I'd use a Pilot ship, the Eagle's console, 3 Kelvin Photon torps, and Stealth Torpedo Bomber (also from the Eagle.) The spike damage may be minimal but the raw DPS is actually very competitive with a CF3 build,, with the added benefit that it's equally effective in Normal content as Elite content.
EDIT2: And yes, I'll be getting the bundle. I run lots of shield tanks and Weapons Hot, Deflectors to Full being account unlocked is almost worth the price by itself for me. The Lego Arbiter seems like an outright OP ship - that turn rate and inertia makes it now the 5th best handling MW ship in the game, the others being a raider, an escort, and an especially bad science ship. It's also the only battlecruiser ever released with 5 tac slots - plus 3 universal ones - and with its trait and multiple exploiter consoles, it might actually make SS1 viable, which is kinda crazy. I generally dislike Fed designs and the Arbiter is no exception (though I actually love the Brigid and I cannot explain why I like it and still hate the Arbiter) but I may very well fly it despite its appearance.
And if I decide not to fly it, the traits are all excellent and the consoles are good too - the 2-piece bonus is +15% cat2 damage and some turn rate, which combined with phaser damage and more turn rate on the VADA itself should make the ship handle like an escort and hit like one too, but with more HP and better mastery.
Ten Forward Weekly talked about the possible difficulties with the BoP console and mentioned the Saucer Sep as well. They're going to be rebind the BoP console and look into adding a Warp In animation work around so they can un-Bind it again. The Saucer Sep one will stay bound as no Warp In is possible if you don't have Warp Nacelles.
Actualy they have a point unless they were talking about Aux craft such as the Aquarius crafts from the Oddesy and Bortesque ships since those themselves were built and made with Nacelles im betting those will remain unbound with Nacelles while the saucer seperation ability will remain bound to certain Galaxy classes and Galaxy X class dreadnought class Dreadnoughts
they may make a new animation for the BoP based off the seperation animation of the Jem Hadar vangaurd carrior
I bought one. And I had to get the ships out of the purchased tab in the C-Store menu. Because for whatever reason they didn't show up in my inventory. And as you might expect, sending in a ticket on it yeilded _no_ results. Because they told me to get them from the C-Store tab...and they told me that I already had the ships. And I was like, yeah, because that's the _only_ way I could! And I'm a little disappointed that the Bortasqu' only has one Commander station. Which is of course Engineering. But then, I wanted to turn mine into an energy build. I've never made a torp build. But...having some of these consoles available for everything...is a good thing.

I imagine that the deployed ship consoles, when used on another ship will di what the same console from the dominion carrier does. on the carrier, the ship deploys out the back, but on other ships, it warps in.

I absolutely love this ship, only grabbed it cause of the sale but I prefer it over the avenger. Run it full mixed with cannon in middle two toros and 2 beams, in back I have a torp and two beams and doesn’t matter if I’m slow turning, everything is melting! Also noticed with Klingon recruit yesterday that the previous versions don’t let you fly the ship till 50 but the legend I’m flying at level 7😂 also not all of us have been around for previous events so I at least appreciate the throw ins, although I do agree that legendary bundles should include enough upgrades to x2 the ships in the bundle.
What i dont understand is: While every other ship pet is still bound to the ship (Aquarius for Odysey, haptak ? for romulan) the detachable pet off the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier was unlocked from the beginning, it just warps in and out. why not do the same for the things here or with the aquarius for exemple?
I think Kor uniform was in Mudds as well up to a few weeks ago

Combining Thirst For Battle with the Janeway-class trait (which is broken for Scimitar cloak and enhanced cloak*) will make your ship super fast when you engage cloak.
* Enhanced Cloak Integration only gives you half the benefit if you have an enhanced cloak or scimitar cloak. Scimitar gets the cloak buff but not the decloak buff, while enhanced cloak get the decloak buff but not the cloak buff.
The HoH'SuS Bird-of-Prey will probably either fade into appearance (decloaking would ideal, but that'll probably won't happen) or it'll warp in when the console is activated.
That way they can be summonable without the undocking/docking animation the Bortasqu' class has for the Bird-of-Prey.
Great video! The Legendary Avenger reminds me a lot of the Vaadwaur Juggernaut. Turn rate is a lot better, however. Can't wait for this to reach console.

At 8400 zen discounted price is a good price. i also got it so I now have all three legendary flagships. I'd get it every time there's a sale rather than full price. Two ships and 1 t6 coupon (3000x3=9000) and the t6-x upgrades more than makes up for 8400 zen price. What I wished was they could have given us 6 t6--x so we could get both to t6-x2. I got Bort to t6-x2 and I'll just buy more for the Avenger. but I guess they want the additional sale. my one wish for the Bort-- would have been if it was a command dreadnought so I could launch a playable BoP. but that's ok. Command Battlecruiser is great.
It would be nice if they changed the scimitar bundle to not require you to be lvl 50 before you can claim the three scimitar class ships and get those consoles for early game play.
Fully agree!, Anyone who doesn’t have these items, it’s an extremely great deal for the value of both Legendary Ships, all their current and past traits & consoles (Amazing!😁) and bonus items!
I have most of these items as well, but I believe this should be more of the Standard value of ships traits and items for cost of these bundles.
I was a fan of the original inquiry (which I paid for from the exchange) and will pay for this Legendary Version as well!

Really love the Inquiry but I already have a great Lexington build, and giving up a hanger and a lance weapon in exchange for 5/3 is tough, especially since I think the Lexington looks better, 5 eng is better than 5 tac consoles now, and the cost of the bundle. I own the Flagship t6 9-ship mega-bundle already, so I got the t6 consoles and the t5 ones aren't good, so no need to get this for the consoles. If this was $20-$60 bucks I'd buy it, but even with 30% off this console is 8400 zen, which is $84, for a ship that is only a bit better than a Lexington... I never thought I'd say this but I'll pass.
I'm pretty glad they paired the legendary Inquiry with the Bortasqu' instead of the Mogh/Kurak (the true KDF counterpart to the Avenger/Arbiter). As to someone who has the Arbiter, Avenger, and promo Inquiry, the "value-add" would've been near-nil for me otherwise (since the Avenger skin update is free and the legendary's nearly identical to the promo ship in the ways that matter to me).
Luckily the Bortasqu' is a top 5 STO ship for me, so having it in legendary form with a skin update (and making the inquiry available for the rest of my alts) was enough to tip me over into picking up the bundle.

I’ve been waiting for a Lergendary Bortas’qu for a looooong time
I’ve loved the avenger since I started sto it just seemed to me like a cruiser progression of a defiant like the defiant and sovereign or oddy had a baby it’s just so much more armoured and feels more battle ready than the inquiry and I love using its skin on this ship, the consoles are good not useful tho with the current meta but the overload cannons have made a spot into my bo/sv miracle worker build
Oh and also the cannons rapid fire fires anyway even with scatter volly but you still proc pref targeting so it’s workable and your turrets or other canons still fire with SV anyway
Long have I waited for the day where I could put that huge honkin disruptor autocannon onto my bird of prey! I'm sure that will look believable 😂

I wish they took more time with the skins of the Legendary Avenger. They don't mesh very well oh well.....As far as wanting the ships. Yes I'll get them on black Friday. Already have the "cough" Inquiry...lol but I think it's still worth it cause this bundle is account unlocked. "Cheer"
What about the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier console. That ones works fine on any ship.
much like the warbird bundle, on sale it breaks down to under 30 bucks a ship, so you can tell yourself your getting leggies for the price of a t6. Whether its overlap for you or not of course matters. That said its a good deal for this game, but the fact that an 80 dollar pack of ships is a good deal for this game is a problem.

Honest the bop console and eqarius should have animations changed for othe ships like the jem'hadar vanguard carrier pet that can be used on any ship. That support craft just warps in.
One of the better bundles we have seen imo, though I still would have preferred the Legendary Negh'var over the Legendary Inquiry (I do like the new Inquiry skin though).
I imagine they're saving the Negh'Var for a bit longer. There's only so many Klingon ships that qualify to be Legendary ships, so they likely want to spread that out over time otherwise, down the line, people will just be complaining about how they never get any new Klingon ships. People already do that, but it'll just be worse at that point.
Believe you me, our complaints are warranted. This will be the first Klingon ship in 3 years. Three. Out of the dozens of Fed ships in that 3 year interregnum.

@peppercallahan8286 in STO's defense, they kinda have to work with what the shows provides them. Star Trek is a very Federation focused show, obviously, so there are a lot more Federation ships than Klingon (or any other alien faction). STO has an obligation to introduce ships from the new shows as well as the old shows, but the new shows haven't introduced any new Klingon ships since the early seasons of Discovery. And all those Discovery models are already in the game (and a lot of people still hate on the Discovery models). And as for the old shows, there's like 2 Klingon ships that still haven't been done. The K'Vort, which is literally the same model as the B'rel but just scaled up to appear larger, which is why they never bothered to do it. And the D5, and there really hasn't been much demand for ENT-era content, and STO hasn't given any indication of them going in that direction.
Not to suggest that STO will never do those ships, but the fact that there are only two canon options left means they probably want to spread those out a bit, assuming they ever have the chance with all the other ships Star Trek has introduced.

I don't think they'll rebind the BoP console, the Kwejian console from the 32c Crossfield is like that and Cryptic has never done anything about it
I hope they can rework the console to function like that, but who knows how much work it'll take to change it. It's likely not as easy as it sounds.

That little edition isn't for those of us who have it. In a perfect world it'd have been cost deducted if already unlocked. But we don't live in the right timeline.

Don't have much interest in the legendary Bortasqu, but I'd be all over the legendary avenger if it were in a cheaper bundle.
I've just always thought they are some of the more ugly ships in the game, the new ones are Loads better looking but still not anything i would really want to fly to be fair.

if you're using beam overload, yeah. but even then, the Terran Task Force Cannons will still probably be better.
Any idea when this bundle drops on console absolutely love the Inquiry and this legendary ticks all my boxes and the cannons oh the cannons
