  • This works for any pellet stove that has a touchy external temperature sensor that jumps around a lot. This happens to be a Grand Teton Teewinot pellet stove. Very similar to many other brands out there that use the same basic stove just rebranded.
In this video I use a piece of copper 1/4 inch tube but I guess you could use a stainless or aluminum metal straw, those are pretty easy to come by.

I'm getting a code 5 and I've cleaned everything including the inside back 3 panels and exhaust pipe. Any suggestions?

Can you do a video in regards to why you installed the air intake i only ask because i was told you don’t need it, I thought you mentioned in one of your videos that you had an install video but I didn’t see it, your videos are great and very informative

You don’t technically need it unless your house was built recently (a tight house). It is good to put it in though for these reasons (and easy to do). If the power goes out while it’s running smoke and fumes will actually come out of that intake pipe. The second reason is when not hooked outside it actually sucks air out of your house, no big deal but outside air is then sucked into your home through bad windows, the bathroom vent, the stove vent (if you have one) actually making the home chilly in spots.

Thank you for this great feedback I currently don’t have mine installed & my stove is located in my insulated garage but i still have the garage doors with garage door installation added which keeps a slight draft coming in pellet stove located near garage doors

@@LalaNaturallyMe yea for a garage you are fine with no fresh air intake. You will still have the smoke issue if the power goes out, but it’s a garage so….

So I have a question I have it set to 40degrees and the room is at 60 so this being said have setting set to ECO1 P4 which is the minimum power setting how come it’s not shutting off when it is over the set temperature

Did you start off in eco2 then switch to eco1? If so it won’t take until you hit the on screen power button, let it shut down then start it in eco1. That setting can’t be changed on the fly. You have to start it up in the eco mode you want.
