It makes me really happy to see so many people in the crowd. It's lovely to know this stuff is appreciated by the public. Great work, guys. Doing these moves in a choreographed film is one thing, but doing them live when you only have one take is another entirely.

@@damianhundorf3137 you probably never tried fighting someone a little bit trained. Thing is that in a fight you do silly movements and misses stances, you face unpredicted situations and the enemy fights back, so you never are sure if that attack of yours will be the one to end the fight. Their choreography for these fights were insanely well done and adds not only the techniques, but the feel of the flow on a fight, be it armed or unarmed. Congratulations to the Akademia and now I have one more reason to visit poland!
@@danielfang749 i have a lot of practice fighting with swords in many variations. Unammored and amored! It is was it is. This is holywood fighting style. If u want to see Real Fights u should Look for historical fencing. Greetings from Germany
My 7 yr old grandson and I have watched your videos for the past two years. We have practised the moves...he has broken 3 plastic swords so far! We are Australian. Thank you for your Channel!!!
I enjoy watching medieval swordsmanship done with appropriate respect for the speed and lethality of the art. When you watch movies, they choreograph the movies such that the actors are aiming for the sword instead of the swordsman. They pull their strikes and there's no intent to harm the other guy. It's totally unrealistic and completely belies the brutal nature of medieval combat. The real stuff wasn't sanitized for a PG-13 audience =) Bravo, gentlemen! Excellent demonstration of what real combat would've looked like!
I mean, to be fair, there's no intent to harm the other guy here either.

Moment from 1:34 - awesome piece, it looks so real, top quality! It's so great that you do this! Such demos are much more for preserving historical context of hema than some far-feched interpretations.
I love that pommel hit. He was like " 🙊ups, ouwie - anyway...". It proves how their stuff is full of accurate intense choreography so there is little time to facial acting. Incredible real time action.
It's really fun and interesting to see dramatic stage choreography based on realistic historical fighting technique.
I watch your channel almost every day so many instant classics and moments that make me want to rewatch

Incredible! I have been apart of some fight choreography recently and it's fantastic to see the realistic stuff done so perfectly! I wished my fight had gone so smoothly, in our first show I managed to take a blunt sword to the face and get 5 stitches just next to my nose. More training for the group I think!

Absolutely spectacular! Polish swordsmen of the era 1450-1600 could be designated as the European Samurai, such was their amazing skill & versatility with swords, & as demonstrated by you super proficient gents!

Amazing job, but I think the normal speed scenes look more natural than the slowed ones which make the choreography more obvious. If you trained hard to do these things fast why show them in slomo?

We love our Czech neighbors, but we are group from Warsaw (Poland). Show took place in Łęczyca, about 150 km from Warsaw.
