For those interested, I tried writing the pattern for this. I never wrote a pattern before, so hopefully it makes sense. I recommend using the pattern after you've watched the video and completed a few rows.
    Chain 47 (or a multiple of 15+2)
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from the hook, *ch 3, skip 2 ch, sc. Repeat from * until the end of the row, ending with a sc in the last ch.
Row 2: Ch 5 and turn. Sc in the next ch3 space , *ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space. Repeat from * until the last ch3 space. Ch 2 and dc in the last sc.
Row 3: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in the dc, *ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space, ch 3, and make a puff stitch in the next sc (see below for puff stitch instructions). Make a puff stitch in the next 2 sc; you should have 13 loops on the hook. Yo and pull through all loops. Ch 3, and make one more puff stitch in the stitch that joins the previous 3 puff stitches (the center of the flower), pull through all the loops on the hook, sc in the next ch3 space. Ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row. Ch 2 and dc in the 3rd ch of the ch5.
Row 4: Ch 5 and turn. Sc in the ch2 space, *ch 3, and make a puff stitch in the middle of the next flower, yo and pull through all the loops (you should have 5 loops on the hook). Ch 3, make another puff stitch in the same st (middle of the flower), yo and pull through all the loops. Ch 3, make another puff stitch in the same st (middle of the flower), yo and pull through all the loops. Ch 3, skip the ch3 right after the flower and sc in the next ch3 space, ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space*. Repeat from * to * until the sc in the last ch3 space. Then, ch 2, dc in last sc.
Row 5: Chain 1 and turn. Sc in the dc, ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space. Ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space, *ch 3, sc in the next ch 3 space. Repeat from * until the end of the row. For the last one, sc in the 3rd chain of the ch5.
Row 6: Chain 3 and turn. Yo, insert hook in the first sc, pull up a long loop. Make a puff stitch in the next sc. Yo and pull through all loops. Ch 3, and make one more puff stitch in the stitch that joins the previous 1 1/2 puff stitches (the center of the flower), pull through all the loops on the hook, sc in the next ch3 space. Ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space, ch 3, sc in the next ch 3 space, ch 3, make a puff stitch in the next sc. *Make a puff stitch in the next 2 sc; you should have 13 loops on the hook. Yo and pull through all loops. Ch 3, and make one more puff stitch in the stitch that joins the previous 3 puff stitches (the center of the flower), pull through all the loops on the hook, sc in the next ch3 space. Ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space, ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space, ch 3*. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. To make the last half flower: Make a puff stitch in the second-to-last sc, make a puff stitch in the last sc, pull through all loops on the hook.
Row 7: Ch 3 and turn. Make a puff stitch in the first stitch/middle of the flower, yo and pull through all the loops (you should have 5 loops on the hook). Ch 3, make another puff stitch in the same st (middle of the flower), yo and pull through all the loops. Ch 3, skip the ch3 space right after the flower and sc in the next ch3 space, ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space. *Ch 3, and make a puff stitch in the middle of the next flower, yo and pull through all the loops (you should have 5 loops on the hook). Ch 3, make another puff stitch in the same st (middle of the flower), yo and pull through all the loops. Ch 3, make another puff stitch in the same st (middle of the flower), yo and pull through all the loops.
Row 8: Ch 5 and turn. Skip the ch3 space between the two petals and sc in the next ch3 space, *ch 3, sc in the next ch3 space. Repeat from * until the sc in the last ch3 space between the petals. Then ch 2, dc in the top of the last flower petal.
    Repeat rows 3 to 8.
    *****
    Puff stitch:
Yo, insert hook in the next sc, pull up a long loop. Yo, insert hook in the same st again and pull up another long loop. You should have 5 loops on the crochet. Continue reading the pattern to find out how to finish the puff stitch.
    Legend:
    ch: Chain
    st: Stitch
    yo: Yarn over
    sc: single crochet
    dc: double crochet
ch3: chain 3 space done in the previous row

    Hi Olga
Thank you for sharing this stitch pattern, it is very beautiful that my younger cousin has asked me to make it for her. I started it last year but unfortunately life got it in the way so I’m hoping to have it done for her birthday in a couple of months.
I was confused when the pattern changes at the ends of rows 3 and row 5. But I’ll just watch again when I have the scarf with me, as I have started it... I was just wondering why the pattern says 3 row repeat but row I think it was 4 or 5 that changes?
Your help will be amazing. Thank you 🙏🏼

In the video you say you are using a 5 mm hook and in the written description you say you are using a 4.25 mm hook. Not a complaint I am just wondering which is accurate?

Hi June, it's H (5mm). Thank you for brining it to my attention, I'll change it in the written pattern.

This is so beautiful, and the instructions are so clear, but goddamn I just cannot get puff stitches right!! I've managed every weird, complex stitch I've ever come across, but puff stitches... It's ridiculous 🤦😂 I'll keep practicing though - I want this scarf!!

@@OlgaPoltava it can't be chain 47 at the beggining, that why the pattern is not working. At the beggining you have just 2 flowers done, later you are showing more in a row, the row is longer. How many chains please?

Olga I can’t find the pattern. Do you have a chart? Or can you post the actual pattern...pleeeeeeeeez. 😁

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  Před 5 lety +1

Hi Dolores, I tried to write the pattern, I wrote half of it and gave up. It was very long and difficult; it was especially challenging for me to explain in writing the part where three puff stitches are made and joined together, the instructions were super long. It would be easier to make a graph (I used to sketch graphs by hand, which took a lot of time), and I know there exists some special software for creating crochet charts, but I don't have it and I don't use it. Sorry.

@@PissedOffLatinWoman Hi, Dolores. I as well wanted a written pattern. So, as, Olga was explaining the pattern as she was crocheting I would stop, write, continue and repeat the process as she continued. She is right about the long process of instructions. It's very, very long because you're writing every chain 3, pull loop in same chain, etc... I'm still working on it since I just found her tonight. It's doable. It's just time consuming. Good luck! I hope this helps.
