Thank you for the traditional diagram on the screen. I hardly ever see this anymore but it really helps my 3d brain. With 😅both a visual pathway and you as a guide makes this is an excellent tutorial for a beautiful pattern. Bravo👍
Thank you so much! I figured it would be like learning a new language for those who aren't familiar with traditional pattern readings. I'm really glad it's helping people who learn through different ways. Happy crafting to you. I hope you can make something beautiful with the tutorial!
I had no idea I needed a scarf/pashmina made with this stitch until I cam across this video, and now I can’t wait to get to the city to buy the yarn! Thank you SO much for this pattern; I am truly obsessed❣️❣️❣️
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful pattern, and the photo using the gradient yarn. I've got some and debated the best use for it. This is it!!!
So much pleasure involved in crochet hobby. The colours and textures of the yarns, busy hands and beautiful satisfying result. Totally great to relieve stress. Thank you for this lovely pattern!🤗
Hi there, Thank you so much. The yarn is a yarn cake (I used 800m) from a store in Switzerland called "Jolly Knits." I think she discontinued selling yarn cakes but this one is called "Vintage Glitter Gold." You can find her store here: www.jollyknits.com/en
You have earned my "Like, and subscibe" I came very close to passing on this, because I really hate politics, but the pattern is just too pretty. However the way you break the video into chapters for me to easily review made me watch 2 ads and comment. Your teaching style is excellent, and I look forward to watch more of your videos.
Oh my sorry! I'll also add the info in the description. The yarn was fingering/4-ply weight and the size hook I used was a 2.5mm. Thanks for flagging that up!
I have a request? Do you think you could give us a tutorial on how to make a triangular shawl with this particular stitch, like coming up with a pattern? I love this stitch and couldn’t find it on Raverly. Thank you!
Ooh well, I *think* I could do this! I will need a bit but I'll work out the details and try and upload something decent. I'll keep you posted! Happy New Year!
i love this pattern, i’m trying to make a shirt 😍🌸 do you know how to make increases and decreases?? i’m kinda new to crochet and i’ve been trying to figure it out but i don’t see a way
I'm very sorry for the late reply. I've been scouring the internet to try and find you some info or find another tutorial that might be able to help with decreasing this. I'm honestly not sure how one would do this, I suspect you'd have to make two stitches together on both sides of each row. I'm sorry this isn't really helpful, but I can figure out how to pop a chart up somewhere and send a link if you still need help.
Thanks so much. I've had a few requests for one, so I'll have to write one soon. I'll upload it to my website for you all to have for easy access (I'll keep you posted)! Happy crafting!
Is there a way to increase and decrease using this pattern? I've looked everywhere and I can't find anyone who speaks about increasing and decreasing sizes for such compound patterns.
Oh that's a great question. I'm going to try and make this into a v pattern so that people can make shawls that grow into a V but I honestly haven't found any info either so am just mapping it out. Increases (I think) would be to slowly increase your stitches on both sides equally (say two on one side, two on the other (and make the rows double crochets across) and continue to increase that way until you have 16 more stitches. That of course would create a bit of a gap in the pattern though which you may not want but I'm not really sure yet how to gradually grow the pattern without doing that yet. I'll keep you posted. Thanks so much!!!
Thank you! I've been looking for days and I'm wondering now whether suns patterns just aren't meant for those kinds of increase and decrease. But then again maybe that's just my inexperienced conclusion! Thank you so much for trying to find an answer! I hope you figure it out!
Thank you! Yes, I used a yarn cake that was 820 yards (750 meters). I bought the yarn online from a wonderful shop in Switzerland called "JollyKnits." ☺
@@RepublicOfYarniaThank you for that.I just did 80 chains plus 4, and I ran out of chains to end on a 3 dc. My row ended with 5 dc. What did I do wrong..
@@nicolemarie6273 It may be that you need to tug the chains to see if there are some hiding (they are really easy to miss, I've done that before) but an easy work around is to just remove two dc at the end and that will give you the 3 dc you need. The pattern will still work the same. See how that goes and let me know if it works or not!
Danke schön. Ich habe 100 % Merino verwendet. Es handelt sich um Finger-/Sockengewicht garn. Jeder skein ist 400 m lang und ich habe 3 skeins verwendet.☺
Thanks. Unfortunately I don't but I know there are variations of this pattern all over (most will be slightly different depending on the pattern, I suspect). I did a basic written version that's at the end of the video which I had suggested people could screenshot and take away if that's easier.
Sounds like the only child here is you since you had to be a big baby and cry about a free tutorial simply being called "antiracist crocheting." Take your racist ass elsewhere then, there are loads of tutorials that might suit you. You might even find a swastika to knit.
Great tutorial! Thank you for putting the stitch chart on screen, and for putting in chapters for each row. Makes it so much easier to follow along.
That's so kind of you. Thank you for watching. I'm so glad you found it helpful. Happy crocheting.

Ooh I love the little coloured chart to show us whats going on! Brilliant :)

I'm excited to hear this. Happy crocheting to you!
Loved this. A little disappointed because I misread the channel name as Antichrist Crochet, but antiracist is better.
hahaha, I will try to add more antichrist stuff in future videos. Thanks for watching!
Me too! What the…, what crocheting had to do with Antichrist???
😂😂@@ABC-20
Me too 😅
Thank you very much for the time you gifted us showing this beautiful pattern!! 😊

This yarn is so beautiful, could you please write what yarn you used? (brand, name) if possible

@RepublicOfYarnia i don't believe you mentioned the size hook you used for the shawl. Can you tell me what size hook was used?

Thank you. This was fingering weight. It was a 4-ply cotton yarn cake. Happy crafting to you!!
Great video, is there a written pattern by any chance?😃

Would make a beautiful shawl for a bride.
Oh that's a great idea! That would be stunning!
@RepublicOfYarnia What yarn size and hook size do you use or recommend for this pattern? Thank you?
Lol your name!! Yarn size is fingering/laceweight (I used 4-ply) and the hook size was a 3mm but you can get away with using a 2.5. Happy crocheting!
Thank you! How much yarn did you use please? Also what size hook please?
I used 800m of yarn (it was fingering weight yarn) and the crochet hook size was a 3mm. Happy crocheting!

Is it possible to do this pattern with 16ch + 4ch
Yes it is! As long as you have a multiple of 16, just add 4 extra on the end to start your next row.
This is amazing. Do you have a written pattern for it somewhere?
Thanks. Unfortunately I don't but I know there are variations of this pattern all over (most will be slightly different depending on the pattern, I suspect). I did a basic written version that's at the end of the video which I had suggested people could screenshot and take away if that's easier.
@@RepublicOfYarnia Thank you
Can you make this into a round like. Infinity. ?
Most definitely. Just end with a row after you complete a flower and then connect the bottom to the top with a stitch across, and voila!

I am passing this by this video...none of us need more politics in our lives...it's unnecessary of you to remind us as if we are children

Wow, white woman fragility. Why do you think anyone here needed to know you are boycotting the video?
It’s not an airport, no need to announce your departure🤷♀️
Sounds like you could have learned something.
How childish to regard real life as an optional lesson
