To anyone mad saying it’s unrealistic, he just covered what’s in the book
It's not even that unrealistic tbh, germany in real life had all of Europe under their direct or undirect control (puppets, strong influence/relations) apart from the far east russian lands, and japan had all of Asia under control as well
the only parts left were The americas and the british island which both japan and germany had plans for if the US wasn't actually strong enough to attack before it was too late this would have happened in real life too
@@youneskasdithis is very unrealistic, Germany was stretched so thin it was impossible for a victory with the Soviet manpower and US support
Wehraboo moment. @@youneskasdi
Fun fact: The overwhelming majority of the German army was horse drawn, on foot and used bicycles. The German army was not the science fiction, super army that you think it was or see on the History Channel... their industry was not even on the level of the USA, let alone the USSR when they started going. A modern war is about who can produce the most material and replace lost material, and Germany was always lagging behind the allies, as was Japan.
I myself first thought the same but the involvement of USA will never let Germany win against russia as its huge manpower was fed and armed by americans...
I always tought that in "The Man in The Hight Castle" Germany and Japan annexted everything 💀
nah bro the reichskommisariats gonna enslave the entire slavic race

probably one of my favorite mapping videos so far I loved it.
This video is incredibly inaccurate.
First of all Germany should a conquered the UK first before headin the Soviet Union.
Second of all Japan shouldn’t a declared war on the United States. The axis wouldn’t be able beat the USA in that situation. Japan should a let the USA in isolation. The axis started to lose when the USA joined.
Third of all by far the most inaccurate part was the USA surrenderin by 2 nukes. This part is just utterly ridiculous. The USA is WAY to big and powerful to surrender to that the same way Japan did.
Fourth of all even with all the worlds resources The Axis wouldn’t be able to push that deep in the USA. With the USAs armed citizens and bad supply over the massive ocean and deep through terrain they wouldn’t be able to push into Texas and the major inland Mississippi watershed areas.

First, Germany attacked the soviet union because they needed the resources that the soviets have. They wouldn't have had enough resources to invade Britain first.
Second, Japan needed to attack the united states, the Japanese isles were under a trade embargo by the Americans and it was very difficult for them to do anything outside of the main island because of that.
Third, the USA was already unstable because in this timeline Teddy Roosevelt was assassinated, the nukes would have destroyed the Pentagon and Whitehouse, as well as taken roughly 6 million lives in the immediate blast alone. Those buildings alone being destroyed like that would cause an immense amount of instability and leave the government mostly helpless.
Fourth, Because the pentagon had been destroyed, the military leadership system would have been in shambles, making it a nightmare for the USA to fight back, plus Germany was rapidly advancing its technology and later in the war would likely have much more advanced technology than the united states. And because Washington had just been nuked plus the British and Soviets being defeated, the American morale would have been super low
This is a clear example of the "dunning Kruger effect" where somebody who knows a little bit about something thinks they know a lot. I also thought pearl harbor and the invasion of the soviet union made 0 sense when I first started learning about WW2. It's obvious you're just an overly patriotic Texan (You felt the need to point out that Texas in particular could not get captured) who thinks big ol' America is undefeatable.

Ignoring how blatantly unrealistic the scenario is (that's obviously not your fault), the amount of craftsmanship that went into this is fantastic. Excellent job!
It’s not too unreasonable to be fair:
The Germans made great progress in Russia up until the winter (poorly timed attack) the invasion would’ve succeeded had they not run into the winter/had the correct equipment.
If they’d successfully invaded Britain quickly enough, the Americans have very little in the way of launching attacks on France, and then subsequently Germany itself.
Once Britain fell, and given that the Nazis were working on an A-Bomb anyway, it’s not unrealistic to think that Hitler would’ve dropped it straight into Washington
@matthewpotter1365 None of that is reasonable. What you just said was "If the Germans hadn't lost, they would've won." Which, I mean, yeah.
The primary reason that Germany lost in Russia was because they overstretched their supply lines and the Soviets didn't leave them anything to use. They also didn't properly winterize their gear, because they were arrogant enough to think they could score a quick victory. That's a failure of planning from the outset. They got bogged down in tje Caucasus, failed to capture the vital oil fields, and starved to death. Adding to that, once the Soviets got their production well and truly going, they launched the largest tank offensive in history. No way to stop that.
The Germans couldn't launch Operation Sea Lion for one reason: they couldn't beat the RAF and the Royal Navy in the Battle of Britain. It was a non-starter. The Kriegsmarine was nothing compared to the Royal Navy, especially in the English Channel and the UK's surrounding waters. It was never going to happen.
As far as the atomic bombs being dropped on Washington? To do that, the Germans would have to establish naval and air superiority in the Atlantic Ocean and over the US eastern seaboard, which was, again, never going to happen.
An Axis victory is a fun alternative history scenario, but not rooted in reality.
@@Clicint the whole point of the show is that the war went differently to how it actually went. In THAT sense it’s completely impossible because it’s not what happened.
But it IS reasonable in the sense that only a couple of tactical decisions needed to be changed in order for them to win.
@@ClicintOnce again, nothing is impossible, a 1000/1 event may have a small chance, but there is a high probability that it will happen out of dozens of existing events. Note: there's no need to think realistically, this is just a fictional film, it's true you said it's just an alternative scenario
@@matthewpotter1365 Germany was not pursuing to develop an Atomic Weapon, besides a lot of Germanys top scientists and physicists had fled the country in the 1930s due them being Jewish which automatically limits Germanys Atomic research capabilities, and even if they had magically developed an Atomic Weapon it would have likely led to Germany being nuked rather than Japan.
To anyone saying these are unrealistic: There's this thing called "Imagination", and it surpasses reality, by a lot.

I am a little confused how at 7:28 German invades england when you said eariler in the video that the British navy had great victories over the krigsmarine. However this video is extreamly well made and I think you did a amazing job
It's easy, Germany developed even advanced Ships, as they had superior engineering. Plus it was after the defeat of the USSR
Thats what germany need in WW2 to win, time and resources and in this universe they have both
Can’t lie thought that myself. If I had to guess it was because of the German victory in the Soviet Union, more resources, more manpower, more focus on Britain as a whole? In reality it would still be impossible, but it’s fun to dream
@@xx_nobel744also remember that germany probably captured a large chunk of the soviet navy as they hadn't used it much while fighting Germany.
With all fronts secured Germany could mobilized all of its airforce against Britain.
nice video :)
Some questions:
1. What happened to the USSR in this timeline?
2. How did the Axis reach the Suez canal so easily?
3. Why would Turkiye join the Axis?
4. How was the Axis' invasion of Middle East and Caucasia succeed?
5. Why would Stalin allow Turkestan leaves the union?
6. How did the Australians lose Papua and New Zealand to the Japanese?
7. Did the Manhattan Project fail in this timeline?
1. West USSR was occupied by Germany, the east by Japan, Siberia became a neutral zone
2. The Australian army wasn't in Egypt to help Britain since Japan was winning in the pacific, giving axis forces their chance to win the battle of El Alamein
3. Turkiye joined the axis since the USA had incompetent leadership (roosevelt was assassinated in this timeline) and for territorial gains
4. The allies were caught unprepared while the Turkish army advanced in the middle east + Iraq and Iran joined the Axis
(britain as in real life was only occupying main roads in these territories, not the whole land)
5. The Administration of the soviet republics of the 'stan countries decided to sign peace with Germany, breaking up with the Soviet Union (while the Soviet central government was dealing with the axis)
6. Japan had destroyed the whole american fleet including oil reserves so they were able to easily conquer the european colonies
7. The United States, having bad presidency without roosevelt, didn't persue the manhattan project, while Germany developed its own nuclear weapon

Second, the war declaration of Japan on the US is written in the novel thus the video author cant change it :(
@@Texan_christian1132
Firstly, in WW2, the Luftwaffle did attempt to conquer the UK in the Battle of Britain and failed. They invaded the USSR to gain the oil needed to run a continental power, and Hitler personally hated Communists as much as he hated Jews.
Secondly, the United States would’ve joined the war either way even if Japan hadn’t attacked, it was just a matter of time. To say the United States wouldn’t have supported Britain and the USSR if Japan hadn’t attacked is ridiculous.
In regards to your third and fourth point, keep in mind that in this timeline the United States didn’t develop any nuclear weapons, so to the American government it would be best to surrender instead of wasting more human life.
Also, the entire video is based from a TV show (I haven’t watched) so I’d assume those last 2 points were proven in the show.

of course, we all know how unrealistic the man in the high castle is xD
Man in the high castle is based on the FDR assassination attempt being successful so America never exits the Great Depression to help Britain and USSR fight Germany
Yep
A few things arent that unrealistic.
Look to the UK. Hitler itself gave Order to stop the fight against the Royal Airforce bases and concentrate to London. Now we know, that the airforce was nearly down and had collapsed within a week. The Switch to London gave the Air Force enought Time zu regroup. If that Order hadnt come, maybe there was no invasion needed cause London would fall without Airdefence.
In Africa Rommel got tricked by the Britians. They uses Fake-Tanks and Camps to fool the German Scout planes. At El Alamein the Germans tought that they are facing a much bigger Army, but there was now big Reserve. Holding at Alamein had gave the Germans other options in Africa.
Many Battles in the War were really tight.
The man in the high castle is one Reality to many realities. It would have been possible.... some things didnt happened and some things did happened and ther ya have it.... out Reality with a allied win and a cold war afterwards and much confusion about everything

The show would've been perfect without the lazy Hollywood propaganda of the BCR and weird time traveling crap that made no sense. The BCR was completely illogical, how did they even get 1940s Soviet tech when Japan controlled the entirety of all Pacific shipping lanes?
