  • Today we are looking to build the 2023 Ford Bronco Black Diamond. The Black Diamond comes with lots of good off road features like rear locker and the wash out floor. But if you add the sasquatch the trim steps it up a notch.
    Join Dave as we build and price the 2023 Bronco Black Diamond.

    I have liked the Black Diamond package since the beginning. The proper choice is 2dr version because that is a true bronco.

    Dave at 54,660, a non-sasquatch Badlands 2.7 mid package is a better deal the Black Diamond Sasquatch for off-roading just for the sway bar disconnect. Long-term resale value will always be better for the Badlands. Plus you can have the slide out.

    • @AllTerrainNation
      @AllTerrainNation  Před rokem +2

      That is a good point

      @@AllTerrainNation You did pretty dang good, that's only the most subtle of differences that tripped you up. I think that you could still argue for the Black Diamond if you were building to a specific price point - especially if you didn't go Sasquatch package. Giving up the front locker doesn't give up that much capability compared to the non-sasquatch Badlands (especially if you get a take-off Badlands suspension and disconnect the front sway bar with the Craftsman option).

    Not an off roader, but a life long first gen Bronco fan, so my Bronco requirements were heavy on daily use. The BD is a nice model, however not being able to at least acquire the High package in the BD prevented me from ordering. The OBX is the model that meets my needs, but the standard OBX is to pedestrian, and the interior choices were not to my liking. So after all the slicing and dicing the BL came out the winner. I ordered the two door BL, lux,MGV 2.3 auto, roof rails, bags, floor mats, non Sasquatch in the fantastic Cyber Orange. The Sasquatch looks cool, but the BL looks great with the standard 33’s. I couldn’t be happier.

    • @AllTerrainNation

      33s look great on the Bronco.. The BL is a great build for sure

      With a different use case for my bronco, I still felt pushed into badlands. Didn't care about most of the high package, but I thought the camera would be a big deal for off-road, and just spent some time wheeling today in an area with lots of ridges proving myself right. A screen that shows which way the trail turns, when all you see over the hood is sky, is a critical safety feature. Also wanted a manual, and you can't even get mid package with a manual unless you upgrade to badlands (or this year, heritage trim as well). While I seriously considered saving some money with the black diamond, when I finally got my bronco and got it into the rocks and sand, I'm now sure badlands was the right choice.

    I went cheap. 2 door Base manual. Going to put 35" AT's on this spring. Only paid $28,500 before just a few extras. Roof rails, modular front bumper, aux switches, and block heater. Couldn't be more happy with what I got for the price. (Although I really did want the rubberized floor with drain plugs but oh well, I'll have to settle for the Husky floor liners).

    The BLUE HIGHLIGHTS on the interior are NO WHERE near that bright and in your face like the CGI pics would lead you to believe. Very subtle, and within a month you'll never see them again.

    Non SAS Badlands was the best choice for me... gives you the disconnect and in my opinion better tires with the KO2s. Also gives you the ability to add high and lux for that 12in screen.

    Love my big bend with the sas pkg., modular bumper, aux. switches, rough country fog lamps, 2.3 eco boost, all weather mats, pincher weld covers, heated seats, hard top mic carbonized gray. Only thing Iam looking at is the Mabett mud flaps for the front wheels to protect the doors from chipping. Some protection now from the running boards.👍👍👍👍👍

    I like my black diamond - hard top , regular wheels and 2.3 engine - I do have a little envy for the sasquatch tires and suspension but if I were to go for those I would seriously just get the Everglades - it's basically a black diamond with the 12" screen, Sasquatch and of course the snorkel and winch

    My 2022 black diamond 2.7 mid mic top was non sas was 50k out the door. It was between that and the base sas 2.7 and the interior won out on the black diamond. Black diamond has the best looking interior I think. Both very similar prices. Only thing I wish I would've got was the tow which I added and the optional aluminum wheels which I'm also adding with 33s. Best bang for your buck I could find for me.

    Waiting on the orders to open back up. Going to keep it simple on my BD order. Only going to add the hard top, mod frt bumper and auto trans. I'll swap out the wheels and tires for 33"s and possibly a lift at some point. Have plans for lots of extras and add ons over time. I definitely agree the BD being the best value and finding that middle ground of all the trim levels.

    Hey Dave. I had ordered a 2 door Black Diamond 2022 with sas. It never got built. I converted to 2023 Heritage Race Red that I'm waiting on. I had planned on mods for the BD to look like the Heritage. Ordering the Heritage I lose the wash out interior and MG seats. But I gained the painted top, wheels and grille. I also added the signature lights, auxiliary switches, and it comes with the gunner hatch not available on the others. It is 300.00 more, well worth it. I'm hoping for March or April. I'm thinking about changing the front seats to Katskin and rear seat delete. If any luck, I'll be at Super cel. Road trip from AZ. Thanks Steve

    How about a video on how to get the boot off so you can put the shifter into neutral when we have no juice. Thought it would be helpful !

    I disagree. Base Squatch. You get the bigger front axle. If you want wash out floor, that can be easily done. If you want seat protection you can do that too. Goat modes are just a program that can be jail broke. Plus you don’t have to buy 5 new aluminum wheels and new bigger tires. Front locker, mike drop! Boom!

    • @AllTerrainNation
      @AllTerrainNation  Před rokem +2

      A base Sasquatch package has the same diffs as this Sasquatch package. You also get the same wheels in each Sasquatch package. You do get a factory water resistant seat. Ok wait to see what the wash out floor liner will cost plus all the time to install.
