i like how this isn't a professional fight between two skilled fighters, this is basically two people who have deceased parents going all out against each other in a personal matter, especially when they connected really well in Talokan.

Spiderman would have dodged the attack because his senses are different where the panthers senses are just more enhanced so they can sense the attack but can’t always move fast enough where spidermans is more instinctual where he doesn’t use his five senses but precognition muscle memory or someshit
This is one of the most Hardcore Marvel Fights I've seen. The physical strenghth and emotion of struggle is all there and I LOVE IT. A big bonus for the soundtrack as well. When Marvel has their 1 v 1 fights? They go PEAK Levels. We need more of this!
Yeah I really like it, I just hope Wakanda does better against Talokan in the future. My one grip with this movie is that Wakanda just gets stomped the whole time, when they while they were both pretty evenly matched in the comics.

Shuri did so good in this, I’m so proud of her. Namor is insanely powerful so the fact that she was able to beat him when they were both in weakened states and she had ZERO experience in combat fighting like this says a lot. She was able to use her brains and muster up enough strength to beat him. I love these two, it was a good dynamic between them.

2:55 something I hated about Marvel is their reluctancy to show blood. Shuri literally has been impaled and pulls herself off the spear and it’s bone dry. Same with when Sylvie stabbed Kang in Loki or when Steve was shot in What If…? Fortunately there has been a lot more blood in Secret Invasion and I hope this continues to make it more realistic.
i mean, what if the suit took all the blood from the injury and restored it. i mean the wound was covered. plus she is basically a superhuman now and has one of the most durable suits on the planet. or maybe because some people force them to censor the blood. those are the only valid reasons tbh.

I’m a local Marvel hater myself but this movie was really good. This was by far the most brutal Marvel fight scene I have seen (not counting 15 or R rated like Deadpool of course), shit was realistic and tense as well. Sucks Quantumania didn’t follow up with good shit like this

This is a crazy underrated fight. I don't hear anybody talk about it, but it is extremely brutal and well paced. Also I find it interesting that Namor fights like a Bajiquan pratictioner with the shoulder checks and look away elbows.

I think people are reading the fight wrong. The MCU is capable of doing battle cinematography where women look all powerful. If the fight looked unimpressive, it’s because it’s showing how difficult it is for her to win. I agree that it could have mixed results, but they didn’t have her doing a bunch of jet, Li or Jackie Chan moves. She barely gets in a combo. They didn’t Captain Marvel her. I think they were realistic with her. They weren’t realistic with him.

Easily one of the best, and by far the most brutal, fights in MCU history. Both physically and emotionally The thing is is that I personally don’t feel sorry for Namor. Yeah he’s got damage, but he’s already let his grief consume him. He had no real defense against attacking Wakanda: he was deliberately trying to force them into a war from the beginning Shuri is justifiably furious with him, and I wanted her to beat his ass. But she chose compassion in the end despite her grief, despite you not truly knowing what she was gonna do in the final moment It’s why this movie is great, and why Shuri is ultimately still a hero

Vengeance so primitive, its can strike your heart and full your head with enough rage to shatter your mind, but its like Vision said "What is grief if not love persevering?" And in the end it was Shuri's compassion and respect for Namor's people that allow her to let go of her vengeance, to save her people from getting consumed with in her grief.
Ya know, say what you will about MCU movies, but more than a few of their fights are more brutal than anything you'd see with Vin, Dwayne Johnson or Jason Statham
This may sound crazy but I love that fact that Shuri gets her ass kicked , why? Because she not trained in combat, she’s a scientist. It makes sense that namor would have the upper hand he’s trained for this his whole life shuri spent her time trying to learn how to recreate the flower which is a very smart idea but she should’ve been training to protect wakanda , but she knew the only true protection was from the power of the black panther , her smarts at the end of the day saved her life. Not her fist , her brain , which namor used very little of , he was fueled simply by rage and irrational anger . He killed several thousands of people only to surrender and form an allegiance. Very weak minded individual.

Namor really reflects what Steve said to Tony in Age of Ultron: "Everytime someone tries to start a war before it started, innocent people dies. Everytime" Namor was trying to wage a war against humans before they even knew the existence of Talokans, and he even tried to recruit the Wakandans to join their cause. What did it result to? An innocent Talokan died in his arms asking if she will still live. At least he was a responsible King to take responsibility tho.

How did Namor stab her? The last BP film shown that the suit was practically invulnerable even to other vibranium weapons. The last movie they had to use some sort of sonic frequency to deactivate some of the suit for an opening. But here he just stabs her and that’s enough to pierce the suit? Also we know she’s not getting hurt either.
Wouldn't it have been better if Shuri showed up with a fleet of invisible ships that could fly and evacuate passengers from the first one if they were in trouble. Wouldn't it have been wiser if she made the Midnight angel standard issue amongst ever wakandan warrior so they could equate to the fish people's strength? Wouldn't it have been better if instead of attacking the fish people wish spears they rather use ultra sonic guns like earlier in the movie or even flame throwers since they turn blue the first moment they come out of the water?
Dunno what everyone is bitching about with this movie. Talokan, Namor, the characters, the Arc that Shuri goes through. It's emotionally engaging and has depth. She is grieving so hard she almost turns into her worst enemy, her cousin Killmonger. It is actually a really good fucking movie, and the end of this fight was so good. She was done fighting him and gave him a choice
I like how fans were so bemused because they didn’t see Shuri learning to fight. You didn’t see Peter Parker learning to fight either and somehow no one cared to bring it uo.

This is a crazy underrated fight. I don't hear anybody talk about it, but it is extremely brutal and well paced. Also I find it interesting that Namor fights like a Bajiquan pratictioner with the shoulder checks and look away elbows.

I think people are reading the fight wrong. The MCU is capable of doing battle cinematography where women look all powerful. If the fight looked unimpressive, it’s because it’s showing how difficult it is for her to win. I agree that it could have mixed results, but they didn’t have her doing a bunch of jet, Li or Jackie Chan moves. She barely gets in a combo.
They didn’t Captain Marvel her. I think they were realistic with her. They weren’t realistic with him.

Why no one talks about how nakia killed a talokan, which started the whole eye for an eye. Namor is justified for attacking the wankada, as they are the one that spilled the first blood on Talokan. Also Namor could have destroyed Wakanda anytime.
She did that to save Shuri
He showed up to Wakanda first and basically said "Solve our problem for us or it's war". Talokan isn't exactly innocent.

he could have killed him, but he didn't as he was done letting his need for vengeance consume him. He even stopped evil Zemo from committing suicide to escape his punishments make sure he answered for his crimes (no excuse), and handed him over to the authorities. The thing is is that I personally don’t feel sorry for Namor. Yeah he’s got damage, but he’s already let his grief consume him. He had no real defense against attacking Wakanda: he was deliberately trying to force them into a war from the beginning
Shuri is justifiably furious with him, and I wanted her to beat his ass. But she chose compassion in the end despite her grief, despite you not truly knowing what she was gonna do in the final moment
It’s why this movie is great, and why Shuri is ultimately still a hero
When he grabbed her and lifted her really high, why not immediately fly both of them back to the water to insure his advantage?

Vengeance so primitive, its can strike your heart and full your head with enough rage to shatter your mind, but its like Vision said "What is grief if not love persevering?" And in the end it was Shuri's compassion and respect for Namor's people that allow her to let go of her vengeance, to save her people from getting consumed with in her grief.
Namos is portrayed as a negative character, but Shrui is not a villain. also, he is a bad guy you troll.

This may sound crazy but I love that fact that Shuri gets her ass kicked , why? Because she not trained in combat, she’s a scientist. It makes sense that namor would have the upper hand he’s trained for this his whole life shuri spent her time trying to learn how to recreate the flower which is a very smart idea but she should’ve been training to protect wakanda , but she knew the only true protection was from the power of the black panther , her smarts at the end of the day saved her life. Not her fist , her brain , which namor used very little of , he was fueled simply by rage and irrational anger . He killed several thousands of people only to surrender and form an allegiance. Very weak minded individual.

Namor was trying to wage a war against humans before they even knew the existence of Talokans, and he even tried to recruit the Wakandans to join their cause. What did it result to? An innocent Talokan died in his arms asking if she will still live. At least he was a responsible King to take responsibility tho.

How did Namor stab her? The last BP film shown that the suit was practically invulnerable even to other vibranium weapons. The last movie they had to use some sort of sonic frequency to deactivate some of the suit for an opening. But here he just stabs her and that’s enough to pierce the suit? Also we know she’s not getting hurt either.

Dunno what everyone is bitching about with this movie. Talokan, Namor, the characters, the Arc that Shuri goes through. It's emotionally engaging and has depth. She is grieving so hard she almost turns into her worst enemy, her cousin Killmonger. It is actually a really good fucking movie, and the end of this fight was so good. She was done fighting him and gave him a choice
