Exploring Franciacorta - Convento dell'Annunciata di Rovato

Nel nostro viaggio in Franciacorta merita indubbiamente una sosta il Convento dell’Annunciata a Rovato.
La strada acciottolata verso il Monte Orfano, dove il convento è arroccato, conduce ad un punto di osservazione meraviglioso e fu percorsa da Foppa e Romanino che affrescarono la Chiesetta di Santo Stefano e l'abside del Convento.

Our journey in Franciacorta, today, stops at the Convent of the Annunciata in Rovato, that is surely worth a visit.
The graveled road that leads up to Monte Orfano, where the convent is perched, was followed by Foppa and Romanino to paint the frescoes in the little church of Saint Stephen and in the walls of the apse.
