Here's an interesting theory: What if Ahsoka Tano, during the Siege of Mandalore, actually managed to reach Anakin in time _before_ the confrontation in Palpatine's office and speak to him privately about Maul's claims that the mystery Sith Lord Sidious would make Anakin his apprentice, consequently learning from Anakin--who'd already figured out by that point--that Palpatine was, in fact, Darth Sidious? Bonus what-if: Rex, who already had suspicions of the bio-chips in every clones' heads after the incident with Fives, hears this about Palpatine and puts two and two together before Order 66 is even issued.

@Rishi Dharu - Actually, .... Anakin/Vader wasn't trying to kill them. And regarding Padme, a big part of the reason she died after her encounter with Anakin/Vader was because of all of his most recent actions. And she literally says it herself, right before he begins force-choking her. Quote, " .... Anakin, you're breaking my heart. You're going down a path I cannot follow ... ". There's actually a medical condition known as "Broken Heart Syndrome", and it can mimic the symptoms of a heart attack extremely well. To the point that it can often be initially mistaken as an actual heart attack. Arguably the saddest part in all of this, is that ... Anakin/Vader didn't want to hurt Padme or Ahsoka. Back when Ahsoka left, Anakin was probably the only one who wasn't angry at her for leaving. He was deeply saddened when she left. Anakin never held any hatred towards either of them. He loved both of them; Padme for obvious reasons, and Ahsoka because she was kinda like the little sister he never had, growing up. And he still held those feelings towards Ahsoka during their fateful duel.

Obi-Wan would have been no match for Palpatine Obi-Wan was fairly close in power to Kit-Fisto who died instantly against Palpatine now Obi-Wan probaly would have faired slightly better with his better knowledge of the danger and his defensive mastery but he wouldn't last long
Not to mention Shaak Ti is also in the temple, and would probably coma and assist Yoda. At that point, Palps is screwed.
I think that audio is would have gone straight for yoda and he could have defeated him again but more Jedi show up and sidious has to flee to plot again.
@@BrendenTait8858 Obi-Wan was one of the most powerful Jedi at the time and the best among the other members of the Jedi Council so he's certainly above the likes of Fisto and the others who fought Sidious. He was only just below the likes of Yoda, Windu and Anakin. That being said, he would've definitely lasted longer against Sidious, likely long enough for Yoda to intervene in this scenario.

Also Yoda disarmed Palpatine at their lightsaber duel and he only ended up in a draw with Palpatine because of his size and the fact that he could not hunt down Palpatine any further cause he realized it was not his destiny to kill him but instead to train the next gen of jedi.
Even if he did hunt down and kill Palpatine he would die cause reinforcements were in their way so Palpatine would have technically won even if he died.
Yoda was indeed the most powerful in both lightsaber and force powers only to be evenly matched by Sidious in the force.
Keep in mind Sidious is said to be the most powerful sith to ever exist.
Cannonically the only Jedi or Sith who managed to surpass Yoda is Grandmaster Luke whom among many feats he also beat Abeloth a feat which establishes him as n.1 most powerful being in SW universe.

What if yoda fought palpatine using the dark side. Now I think yoda would destroy him as dooku once tried turning him to the dark side and realised what he would cause on the galaxy, meaning he’d be the most powerful force wielder ever
Besides Anakin, Anakin had 27,000 minicolorins and that is 1/3 more than yoda and or Sidious. And even after Anakin became Mr. Machine he still had around 17,000 the same as revan and almost the same as Luke. So in a few years he would have crushed anyone if Anakin was a sith. Anakin would have the most powerful sith lighting making it easier to win without needing a lightsaber.
