The C 205 series 3, is a monster. I really recommend getting it, it just feels overpowered. Good guns, Good climb, Good turn, Good speed. Only issue is that it compresses at like 600kph. But nonetheless, I wholeheartedly recommend it.
True, but do you also feel it is weird to fly now? I was playing this plane a lot in 2020 and early 2021, but hadn't play the game until December, and it feels very different. I even saw last month on a changelog that they fixed a bug with it's fly model, which confirmed it had something wrong with it. But still it feels weird... you feel the same? Don't know if it is cause I didn't play for months

@@200Carl Yeah it got changed a bit pretty recently. The rudder is no longer atrocious to use but the turn in general got nerfed a significant amount.

@@cana0 Haha yeah.... Man I wish I had enough patience with this game to play off meta planes, but the grind is kinda dumb now imo... Ever since the timer and the activity time rework the meta has just been furballs in all BR ranges. It's crazy watching RB games from 2-3 years ago and seeing them outmaneuver eachother for 20+ mins, all the while racking up hundreds of thousands of eagles for PLAYING THE GAME RIGHT. Now if you don't kill someone right at the start of the match it's never worth it to follow someone, just gotta rush the enemy team.
Really looking forwards to the rest of the Italian tree, to say the planes are aesthetically pleasing would be a gigantic understatement!

If you want to see the power of the 50cal buff, the Ki61 with 4 50cals is stupidly good fun now. 1800 rounds last forever

@@TheLazyKat I flew every Ki-61 variant, and while they are ok, the fact that their controls lock up after 520 km/h really does limit them in what they can do. Because of this the Ki-61-I Hei and Ki-61-I Tei, and the Ki-61-II KAI are pretty much overtiered.
The Ko and Otsu variants however are very much competitive now thanks to the new belts.
@@thelonious2213 The Ki-61s should end at 3.7. The best Ki-61 is the Ki-100 and that's 3.7. But the early Ki-61 variants, like my favourite, the Otsu, it's absolutely fine in 3.0. It's not slow, it turns good, it's just fine. I like the Ki-44 a little bit more, tbh. Because that's even faster. 💪💪
I love this C.205 and the Ki-44. :3 I feel dirty for farming the newbies, but it's still fun ending every game with 5+ kills, lmao.
Yeah. The Ki-44s are really underrated fighters. They’re fast, maneuverable, and reasonably well armed. I’m a complete newbie in air battles, but even I can get at least 1 kill every single match with the Ki-44s.
Guns now have good damage in my experience, it's my go-to battle pass grinding plane. Incredible flight performance for the br, and now that the guns actually work, I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up next br change.

Since the rounds it fires got buffed it's an absolute blast to fly. One of the best planes in the game tier for tier.
Running stealth let's me kill people with under 100 rounds of 12.7s, which massively increased the longevity of this plane (instead of previously needing half if not all your ammo on 1 enemy)
This is great. I still struggle at engaging and verticals fighting but seeing Defyn do it over and over makes it repeatable in my head, like training, for me to perhaps emulate it myself. Thanks for the vid man.
I really enjoy the F4F's for some reason, even though they are objectively not competitive they just give me some of the most fun matches.

I was flying this just yesterday, I got a 3 kill game and one 2 kill game + some other assists
I used it to grind the winter event, once got 9 kills in a match.

I remember completely throwing this 1v5 i had cuz of my poor aim, i managed to kill 2 zeros and engine crit another one (but he rtbd) but the 109f4 and 190a that i managed to dogfight ran back to their af. I eventually gave up and full commited in a headon
18:53 Japanese Teamates do this mostly, they get such intense and extreme tunnel vision when gunning down an enemy that they completely ignore whatever is around them. I recall recently I was in my J2m2 carefully aiming my few rounds at an enemy I critted beforehand, because I didn't want to waste my ammo. Then a player in his J6k who slotts himself behind me, proceedes to ignore the fact that I'm infront of him and hoses the player infront of me down. Ofcourse in the process he pilot snipes me :))))))))
Oh a pilot snipe is the icing on the cake!
It's cuz they're so ravenous to shoot at players while they're in range lol.
The J6K was an event vehicle wasn't it? Chances are that he may not even be an experienced player or a Japanese player.

These c205's with the 20mms are the best planes in the italian tree. Tanky as hell. Hits hard asf. Good vertical dogfighter although it does lose its energy fast. Love it. I take the 4.3 one out in 6.3 battles along with the g56. Although, when you run out of 20mm the 12.7s it has are pretty weak.

Before the gun buff I always used the Breda 50 cals at short distances and aimed for the fuel tanks, engine and pilot, because those guns seemed to reliably set fires to components. You just have to hit, as you showed in this video btw.
Before the buff, effective range seemed to be below 300m. But within 300m for both Japanese and Italian 12.7s seem pretty serviceable especially for low tier.
I started flying the K4 a lot again. Now that I've got use to 151s again if feels untouchable. Corsairs are the only thing that make me feel uncomfortable sometimes.

12.7 got buffed. In my opinion they almost overperform now for just 2x12.7mm on a plane.
They just got no range at all somehow

@@Xiphactinus i bet german 12.7 are still horseshit lmao.I heard the buff was regarding the he filler in the 12.7 mm guns, so theoretically it must be a buff for them also (especially because they are even slower with more filler than bredas and them having the pure iai belt)
Bredas dont feel like 50cals at all are slower and the tracer are shit but the damage is excellent
@@dovahkiin2 I was flying the S-199 (i know, I hate myself) and the 13mms on that were doing fine with pure IAI. You have to get used to the aim, but I'd take them over the Breda's and maybe over just two M2 Brownings (in terms of damage, not ability to aim, with damage and ease of use, M2 takes the cake). That being said, you still need the 20mms on the S-199 so they aren't that good.

Do the 4 bombs drop in Pairs (like on other 109s) or individually?
I tested IAI 5 minutes ago and i think also that they are stronger than the bredas. Also it has very similar ballistics to the 20 mm which is good as every plane equipped with it has a combination of the two.
Its an interesting development since the 13mm were useless up until now.
I think they will nerf it again
@@dovahkiin2 I tried it in a test flight (didnt even know it had bombs, I only play air RB) and they drop individually. I also doubt they will nerf the 13mm because the planes that have them (late 109's) don't have an amazing armament without the gunpods as is.

Ki-44-II is an ultimate seal-clubbing machine. Barely compresses, turns better than Yaks (not as good as Spitfire), good roll, climbs like crazy, v. good firepower (2,88g explosive filler in 50% of bullets), fast and can actually dive with Fw 190 no problem. IMO it's a joke it sits at 2.7, but I'd rather fight Ki-44-II in Bf 109 F1 or some Yak, than fight Ki-43-III in Bf 109 F4, because that thing is next to impossible to hit, even if aiming in Ki-43-III is pure pain

IMO KI-44-II and P-39N should both go up in BR, and Ki-43-III - I don't know, I just don't feel like it has a real flight model :D
Italian mgs are so damn bad i chose to fly it was one of the last countries to fly. So seeing those quick kills in the video just astonishes me

Would you be willing to take the M.B.157 out next? I saw a few in the last clip of this vid and I've flown it a decent amount in sim and arcade but would like to know your thoughts on it.
I personally have a love-hate relationship with it because it doesnt roll well enough already and it compresses like a typhoon, especially the rudder. I find it has virtually no pull in the elevator but it's fairly fast and has decent energy retention and will give you just enough to get one or two shots but sometimes will just throw a hissy fit and point blank refuse to do what you tell it to. Despite the ammo load being nonexistent, with the buffed cannons I find that I can get about 3-4 kills per ammo load with it in arcade with stealth (so maybe 4-5 in RB) and there are to many times for me to count that I've been begging for a MG of some kind while flying it.
Despite it's flaws however I still like it since it's one of the better planes in the french tree that is actually french and is fairly unique among the french planes. Would like to hear your thoughts and my sincerest apologies in advance if you end up wanting to deep throat a 12 gauge after flying it.

Nice Video but do you have any tips for people like me who are on somebodys six for a whole minute and don't kill. Is there something that i am doing wrong or is it just training. If it is training do you know a way to train your aim the most efficient way. Btw. i am using a Bf 109 and have around 100 h of playtime.
Not DEFYN, and haven't played this crap for months now, but if you want to train you aim, I suggest you create a quick mission via the editor that you can access from the test flight screen (there would be a button in the corner). There you can enable various settings, including infinite ammo.
109 cannons are notorious for being slow. Take your time because you're not hosing them down, you're shooting a laser out of your nose.The good news is if you can get good at the 109 cannons you can shoot anything.
To be honest it took me more than 100 hours before I got the hang of aiming in War Thunder, even with experience in Il2 1946

I cant grind the Italian or French trees ground or air, the early grind is just absolute and total pain, especially with the horrible RP rewards for even ace games with wins.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what to do in an A-4 (me) vs MiG-15 fight. Every time I get into a dogfight with this matchup it feels extremely close and I either win or lose by a miniscule margin. So if anyone who's got a better idea of what goes on here please let me know what I can do to better my odds.

What about the servers? Your videos never discuss the server issues that modulate performance. There is no debate some players fly ufos. You my friend are simply a paid employee of Gaijin with access to algorithms that give you the advantage. Skill? I don’t think so and neither do you. War thunder is a great game until Gaijin employees start to participate. Gaijin employees modulate the algorithms during gameplay. Ie cheaters.
