how did you take the evaporator core out ? how about the cooling gas in the air con compressor system ?
did you use vacuum pump to capture the gas ?
    thx
    andrew

    huh ?
you vacuum the air con system only after the evaporator core removed ? is there a seal or valve inside won't allow the refrigerant to all rush out when you disconnect tthe evaporator core ?
    thans

You don't have to do all that just reach in through blower motor resister hole and blower motor access use vacuum with small tube engineer a soft scraper use brush with long handle get everything that's loose then spray with strong degreaser (I used Awesome) then flush with water ,Ines was clean as a whistle, took about 30 minutes but only cuz I was annal about getting everything

@@Supaman5988 LOL I'm not doing it again just to post a video but it is possible and not that hard. Pull the blower motor and the fan speed resistor and work through those holes, most of the time the glove box comes out to gain access. As a rule the only fins that will need clearing are those you can see. What's left after using this procedure is not worth the extra work of pulling the evaporator of further disassembly. I've used this process on other vehicles besides the Nissan. Pretty much required when revamping systems on older cars and trucks without an environmental filter. The A/C system works as a whole and if air flow is restricted at the evaporator an otherwise good system will not cool to it's full potential if at all.

I'm confused why you risked using damaging chemicals to remove the ants. Wouldnt they get washed away as part of the cleaning process?

I have a 1993 Nissan pick up the condenser is leaking I have to remove it ... But they told me I have to take to dash board off !! Then I see in this video you didn't remove all the dash board .... So now what should I do ???? I have to remove the condenser. Do I have to take all the dash board or just the glove box ?

Ram M457 The dashboard was changed for '95 I believe so I couldn't tell you for sure. All you can do is get under there and see for yourself. Good luck with it.

The condenser is in front of the radiator. The evaporator is behind the dash
