The AMD offset mounting bars are available via the Noctua website or Amazon for a service charge of EUR/USD 3.90 (website form) or EUR/USD 4.90 (Amazon) that helps to cover parts of the shipping and handling costs. do i choose 7mm for Ryzen 7 5800x3d ?
The part that helped me was seeing the thermal paste application. It's what I'm most worried about botching, other than doing the BIOS flashback to update for the X3D processors in the AM5 slot. If I can do those bits, then I can build my own computer. I chose this fan because I didn't want to mess with liquid cooling, and people are saying they keep their Noctua fans for years. So it's just a few dots, then press down? Neato.
Thank you! Yes, just place the 5 dots as shown and you will be fine. Even if you apply slightly too much or too little, there is nor risk other than slightly higher temperatures. You can always re-do the thermal paste later one, so don't worry too much and enjoy building your first PC!

Interesting, is it include in new NHd-15 product ? or maybe i need to buy the the NM-AMB12 product separately ? i have planned to buy the NHD-15 for my new ryzen 7 7700X.(AM5)
We are transitioning production to include the new bars but it will take a few more months until the new coolers hit the shelves. Until then, please purchase the bars separately!

Is it a -7mm offset from center of the holes or is it -7mm between the hole radiuses? :)
From the centre. The entire cooler will be moved -7mm.
My NH-D15 already getting an average 44c now I can get a approximate-3 best 5 dollars
I've noticed that with using the -7mm offset with my nh-d15 the cooler sits right against my graphics card and it's a bit of a pain to try and get it out or if I need to adjust something so can I just use the standard 0 position and be fine? I am on am5.
Of course, you can always use the standard 0 position if there's not enough space for the -7mm position.

Does this Nocuta nh-d15 chrome black offset bracket work with the AM4 5000 series CPU?
Yes, while primarily designed for AM5, the offset mounting bars can also be used on AM4, where they may yield slight improvements on Ryzen 5000 and 3000 series processors. However, the improvements when using the offset mounting position on these CPUs tend to be much smaller, typically

Not with the standard mounting, you need extra brackets for this. You can either get them with the NM-M1 kit or contact us at support@noctua.at so that we can send you the brackets free of charge.
Hi, I'm looking to build myself a new PC and I was planning on getting the NH-D15 for my CPU, which will be the Ryzen 7 7800x3d. The problem from what I see is that NH-D15's RAM clearance is only 32mm, while the RAM sticks I want to use are 34.9mm tall.
How hard is it to move the outside fan? Is it just a matter of putting it up slightly higher and that's it? No need to worry? For further info, I'll be using a Fractal Torrent case, which has 188mm as maximum height for the cooler.
Absolutely no need to worry, our fan clips allow adjusting the height of the fan in steps of ~2mm and installation is the same whether you install it all the way down or slightly higher. The only thing you need to be mindful about is the CPU cooler clearance of your case, but in the Fractal Torrent with 188mm, you have plenty of spaces. Enjoy your NH-D15!

Does this offset bracket fit the Msi X670E Carbon and the d15s? I know the d15s fits on the carbon without the offset.

Do these mounts come with the cooler or purchased separately?
We're transitioning all our multi-socket (AMD/Intel) desktop coolers to include these. The only models that are yet to be transitioned (so you would have to get the offset mounts separately) are the following:

Unless you happen to get older stock, all other models already include the offset parts if you purchase today.
my first noctua was an NH-U9B I still have it with this kit can I put it on the am5?

Yes, the NA-TPG1 thermal paste guard will stay on to prevent paste from going into the cut-outs of the heatspreader.

The mounting system will install directly onto the stock backplate that is pre-installed on your motherboard.
do you have space for RAM?
Yes, the offset mounting will only shift the cooler towards the PCIe, so RAM clearance doesn't change!
does this work with Noctua NH-L9a-AM5?
No, but the contact surface of the NH-L9a-AM5 is specifically optimised for the best possible contact on AM5, so it would not benefit from offsetting.

Hey Noctua! Will these still work if I also have a thermalright am5 contact frame?
There should be no problem but we have not tested this yet, so we'd recommend ordering on Amazon for easy return if it doesn't fit. Please also double check that there is no contact between the frame and the bars when installing.

Yes, but it doesn't have the offset.
So my 3950 i use the 7mm?
Yes, you can. However, the gains from the offset are typically small on AM4 (~1°C max.).

Misleading am4, my 5800x3d sits east-west in my board, cant use that offset bs

@@KarthikSankaran am4 is right there in the title of the video. but yes this is a very niche issue with very few people mentioning it online and the offset is the wrong direction for am4. have the same problem
Used the 7 offset for tge 7800x3d what is am5 motherbored.. I put thermal paste on and put the cooler on then took the cooler off to see the spread of the thermal paste.. the cooler was not covering the hole cpu only half of it.... the 7 offset is wrong and will course thermal throttling.. noctua has no clue what thay are doing complete idiots if u ask me. For my 7800xed I used the standered holes for it to cover the hole cpu
You seem to have missed the point of the offset mounting, which is getting optimal contact right at the CCDs, which is where the hotspot of the CPU is located. Coverage on the upper (north side) half of the CPU is pretty much irrelevant for CCD temperatures.
