It is kinda funny that they billed Last Action Hero (released June 18) as being "The big ticket for '93" when it was released a WEEK after Jurassic Park (released June 11).

They were both released July in the UK - Jurassic on July 16 and Last Action Hero July 30. Last Action Hero bombed due to being overshadowed by JP, and also by being rated 15. Like you say, I don't think anything came close to doing big business that summer - Dennis did quite well on afternoons, and Hot Shots Part Deux did ok at the tail end of the summer.
@@MysteryManfrom79 here in the US, Hot Shots Part Deux was released on May 21- right at the beginning of the Summer Blockbuster season of 1993. It too did fairly well even though it was going up against Cliffhanger (released May 28).
Hot Shots Deux LAH Cliffhanger and many more summer blockbuster movies were overshadowed by Jurassic Park in 1993, Spielberg and Universal nuked 'em figuratively speaking of course.
In the future there was a 2000's X-Files UK VHS that featured a FACT PIF.
I thought TriStar held the rights to Cliffhanger internationally and Carolco held them in America
