  • I want to challenge the magpies in my garden with something new, i go for soda-cans. I don't know if the birds can handle items of this size, let's se.
My initial plan is to just fill the working area with some cans and see if some bird comes up with the idea of testing these in the new bigger hole, if not...i'll have to come up with some training strategy. In a serie of three videos i would like to explain how the metal-detector used in the soda-can detector as well as detecting bottle-caps works.
I'm also working on the General purpose Object Detector (GOD), there are som videos about this AI-Camera based project coming up soon...

Hey Hans! I really like this project and would love to build one together with my kids! Do you have like a step by step tutorial somewhere?

Hey Hans , would be super interested to see what you achieve with your multi purpose device ! If birds started picking up cigarette butts for example ( assuming it is safe for them to do so)
Not a fan of the idea that we need birds to clean up after humans... ( would be much better if humans could be civil and throw away their trash...)

Hi Hans! I have an idea with a can! It's much easier! This is a funnel, etc. Will only respond to the jar! But one more dispenser is needed. With something yummy. I can draw. But how can I send a drawing?
Birds can drop them! But it seems to me they will not be able to bring cans. ((

Can crows actually pick up and carry soda cans?
