Great video. I just used some Vibra-TITE 550 on a few core plugs. It has been about 18 hours and this stuff is still in a liquid state. Do you know how long it takes to set up? It is about 95% humidity here in Arkansas right now. Thanks

It's anaerobic like Loc Tite, it cures between parts

Great tips! I could have used that tip about not putting the socket inside the plug last year when I had troubles... Does that rust preventative dry on the block? How long does it last and can you use it anywhere else like disc break rotors?

The rust preventative last awhile. It would certainly work on calipers

Thanks Pete! The freeze plug thing always seemed kind of an odd description, although even on the package it says freeze plug, you would have to be pretty careless for your block to freeze up solid, but I live in Texas where it’s not normally as cold as up where you live, are frozen cracked blocks common up there? And would the core plugs pop out saving the block in case of a freeze? I always figured if I used water instead of antifreeze it would evaporate pretty quick from the heat?

Someone would have to fill it with just water, and I would think the block would crack before the plugs pop out. But it would have to get really cold first
