Load management turned a lot of people off from the NBA. It got out of control the last three years. Countless times turning on a nationally televised game and half the starters are out for both teams in February.

Bravo gentlemen! People wonder why the NBA isn’t anywhere near as popular domestically as it once was. These coddled, spoiled entitled so-called star players continue to indicate if not outright tell the fans that they don’t give a crap about them. So the fans and the viewers should continue to return the favor by not watching their half tail, redundant, un-captivating product.

We don't get 5 star hotels for business trips, room service and around the clock care for our bodies, for the job. These guys get almost if not every conceivable perk to go with there generational wealth, and ALL they have to do is show up to work and do something they've been doing since they were a kid, 70-80+ times a year? They've been doing 80+ games since the 60's, when they were flying coach, smoking cigarettes and playing in Chuck Taylors. Most of these young dudes don't even seem to comprehend how blessed and privileged they are.

@@SteveJones-gz3nd basketball is a low risk sport compared to others my guy. Football has cte and major brain injuries. Combat sports are straight up dangerous. Most basketball players are still mobile when they are done. Hell a lot of them keep playing overseas and with their kids. If MJ Ewing Hakeem etc still play and have basketball camps todays players will be fine. The NBA still offers them medical even after they retire. Remember that health care fraud scandal?

@@Nbajunkie2782 thats not true at all my guy. Years ago, on the show Open Court hosted by Ernie Johnson, EJ asked guys on the panel when they knew it was time to retire. Dennis Scott was trying out for the Bulls because he thought he more left in the tank, but Phil Jackson told him he was done. He said he thanks Jackson because he can walk with no problems and without pain etc… Him saying that suggest to me that he knew/knows retired players that have a hard time getting around because of their playing days. True basketball isn’t as brutal as football or MMA or boxing, but it still takes a toll on players bodies

What makes it worse if that allstar weekend is longer than it used to be and teams play less back to backs and game is less physical and guys play less minutes per game than they used to yet they didn't use to load management. Before this year you could basically bank that a star player would sit out if they where on a back to back.

    • @KEN117MC

I love when you ask a player if they'd do good with back in the day rules and alot are all cockey saying they'd dom ina te because shooting wasn't as advanced as it is now with deep 3's. They don't account for how ruthless people were back then. When you had the bad boy pistons literally making you bleed and bruised every single game. Even shaqs era he has stories of popping his elbows out to catch people with his spin and rough them up. Now a days players would be beaten bloody and quit before lasting an entire season back then. Load management is such a joke Ihate it. 65 games is way too generous imo even. sh ould be 70-75. Maybe 72, that gives them 10 games to miss. I understand actual real bad injuries but I'm talking about healthy players just sitting out because they can. Nah. Cut their pay then. You dont want to participate? Ok then you get pay cut. Want your money? fucking play ball.

You do realize that all the players have to do is step on the court for like a minute and that counts as a game played. All they are saying is, don’t take the whole game off, if you want to load management then just play a half or reduce your minutes, don’t take off just because you just a little sore or because you don’t feel like it.
