  • Devongunsmith Diaries #30 Japanese Browning & Miroku Actions: Full Strip down & Re-assembly
The Devongunsmith Diaries concept was conceived by me during lock down, and the premise was to be able to perform work without a fully set up gunsmiths workshop, but rather, using just the Cottage Kitchen Table, a few hand tools, some cordless tools, a table vice, and other small DIY tools.
While the channel is not specifically intended to be a how to guide, it is mainly for entertainment.
While in the UK gunsmithing must be performed by the Licenced Gun Trade, CZcams is without borders, and if the channel is useful to someone as either entertainment, or indeed helps you to decide if a repair might be possible, then I have been a help to you.

Very informative, much appreciated, the Browning B25 design is proven and the best and very strong with one piece hinge pin.
Out of interest what causes this design to double discharge, my gun is a mechanical trigger.

I really enjoyed your Video. How often do you have to do this or how do I know if its time to do it? How many Hours do you Need for the whole procedure?

Simply explained and easy to follow, unfortunately, my arthritic hands can't keep up with my ageing brain.😅

Brilliant video and very informative. One question, why is there no spring on the top firing pin?

The breech clearance is sufficient to not require a pin retraction spring on the upper chamber.
The lower pin needs to be retracted to stop it catching the breech.

Really enjoyed watching this. Intriguing to see how all the parts function independently and collectively. Thanks for posting 👍As an aside, can you put the entire action into an ultra sonic?

If you have a big enough ultrasonic cleaner, yes..BUT don’t put it in without stripping it all down!

Hola mi browning b425 caen los cañones al abrir va muy blanda y me gustaría que fuera mas dura creo que se puede ajustar del guardamanos.
    Me puede ayudar?

If it’s a Citori model then there is some adjustment I think. Without having it in my hands I cannot tell you.

why dont you sepperate the right and left hand parts

    • @devongunsmith4698
      @devongunsmith4698  Před měsícem

I don’t have to separate the left and right hand parts. They are handed.
Meaning that they only go in left or right: hammers, strikers etc, all handed.
But I do “sort of” place them in the mag tray in right and left order to a point, simply for speed..
      But just not required.
