In 2016 my son who is Mexican/American was only 4 years old when he was walking down the hallway lined up with his classroom and a group of kids started chanting “go back home” and pointing and laughing at him and a classmate who is of color. He came home crying and asking me why and what did they mean by what they were saying. My heart broke into a million pieces watching tears coming down his little face and it just brought back memories of when I went through that as well. Is something terrible and fearful to go through that and knowing you have to prepare them for this kind of things.

My American side started with the Native Americans, but since I’m closer to my Mexican roots I don’t know much about the culture and life. What you're saying is true but she is probably from the southwest, which is where a lot of native American tribes co-existed with Mexicans before it became U.S. land. So a lot of people from there (especially new mexico) tend to be indigenous but not necessarily Hispanic.

@@pedroquintanilla9035 Partially yes but partially no. Before I was born my grandparents grandparents parents were still living the life as a Native American could at the time. That’s what I mean, until my grandparents grandparents ended up marrying outside the community (A Mexican) and we ended up loosing a lot of that culture and lifestyle because they moved away from where their community was. But yes it also partially comes from my Mexican side since they were all mixed up at that point. Needles to say, I don’t know much about it, don’t even know the specific community/tribe. But one way or the other I’m very proud to be able to say I have ancestors that connect back to the land for centuries. It’s nice.

The reaction of those people in that meeting has nothing to do with what he said, it was more to do that he said it out loud and even though many would agree with his hate words they quickly don’t want to be associated as being the same as him.
His words justified what is going on and if he did not speak everyone would have walked away saying that the complaints of racism are an over reaction.
That community now needs to look into their own hearts and be honest with themselves on how they feel and react to race and when they can do this and understand what is inside of them then they can move forward.
I personally would thank this man because now the rest of that community can no longer live in denial.

Sorry, but most of the world has a horrible track record on human rights - worse than that of the US; whether it's against their own people or other countries. The world can watch all they want, but only a select few countries can have anything to say to us on that score. European countries can have absolutely NOTHING to say. Racism is Europe's legacy in the US and all of the Americas. As a Black American, I'm keenly aware of this and hate to see a European on their high horse about American racism.
It is Europeans who created the concept of "white" and "black" in the first place for the purpose of propagating race-based chattel slavery and white supremacy in the American colonies. Before the Transatlantic Slave Trade, there was no such thing as a "black" person or a "white" person. Racism does not have as long a history in Europe itself because Europeans kept non-whites in the countries they colonized, and they did not begin coming to Europe in large numbers until the mid-late 20th century. Europe left the colonies to deal with the race issues they started.
There's also plenty of racism today against African and Asian immigrants in Europe. I hope you are as concerned about racism against them on your own continent. It frustrates me when I see Europeans using the bold racism that exists in America as a way of telling black people in their own country that what they experience in Europe isn't "real" racism. "At least we're not America. That's REAL racism." I've found that many Europeans are performative as it relates to American racism and will say all the right things about racism here, but are much more like this racist white guy in the video when it comes to race issues in their own countries.
