I would love to see Lilsimsie do the rest of this house either in another video, or it would be cool to also see her do a series where she does a room build video similar to this one for every room in the house that way she'd have more time to work on the little details, and really fill up the room instead of trying to do it for the whole house in the average time span of a video!
Building a super detailed room each video, then having a final video where she has go try make a full house slotting in all the rooms together to make a house would be amazing! I struggle fitting in pre rooms into builds and making it look okay and like it belongs, it'd be great to see how she lilsimsie does it!
Sometimes I feel like I forget about so many cool items in this game. So last time I decided to make a rlly nice bedroom for my sim. It was half the price of the entire house. 😂

You know what, i can definitely see this kid, who's obsessed with warrior cats and soccer, but also pretty neat (as neat as kids go anyway) this built has a story and i enjoyed watching it unfold :)
yes! that was me as a kid 100%. not warrior cats but i loved cats and loved soccer :)
I like making tiny nooks that are only 3 or 4 tiles with tons of clutter and decorations and detail and then uploading them as rooms with no walls. That way someone could put them anywhere in their existing builds. I have also uploaded a garden feature that is just a debug truck turned into a flower bed that's really cute. My gallery name is mvoart if anyone wants to check them out.
You totally should make the rest of the house! You could have a room for a Teen who really likes dogs and has a cute little rivalry with the cat-loving Child

Its actually fun when you do small rooms like this because you actually put way more details than usual in those rooms and its what really make the charm of them
personally i love downloading rooms! im not worried about it not fitting in the room, i temporarily set the room outside and drag items from it into the house. its super useful for when you don't feel like coming up with a whole room theme amd finding the right furnishing 👍🏼

I think a lot of people had the same idea: This might be a fun challenge/series to build each room individually and then piece them together to make a house! Kinda like a puzzle house challenge with each room being built based on an infrequently used item. Then hallways/nooks/crannies are added and decorated to put the whole house together.

I think this room might be perfect for Beau from the nightmare legacy challenge since he doesn’t have a room yet, and maybe once the pack comes out, it can be renovated if wanted.
I think it’s a great idea. But Simsie would have to cut out a lot of space in his bedroom
@CallmeElly she could give this to him for now and then use some of the items later when the pack comes out. But it’s probably pointless.

You could make a mini series out of building the whole house for that room, but make it one room at a time so you can Fokus on more details like in this video 😇😁💗

1:17 "you've got to pretend that there is more to it than there actually is" could summarize the entire The Sims 4 game with its DLCs
Tip: If you want to raise something to be on a shelf/stool, but it floats, you can put a shelf on which it slots (for example the cube one from dream home decorator) so it's the desired height, put the object there and then just alt place it on the shelf/stool. Hope this makes sense and hope it helps💙
By any chance, would u happen to know how to change the direction an item is facing? I know u can left click the mouse and it will rotate the item in 4 directions, but I see CZcamsrs somehow make it rotate smoothly like when u alt place something but I can’t seem to alt rotate objects. Sorry for the long message, your comment just made it seem like u might know the answer to my question 😂
@@summerbelle1445 First, you need to change camera mode to camera from sims 3 (if you don't know, you can do that by clicking on the camera in the up right corner and choosing sims 3 camera). Then you hold the left button on your mouse and alt, moving your mouse should make it rotate smoothly. Also, if you're like me and you're used to the sims 4 camera, just turn the s3 camera on only for the rotating and change back, you can still move the item without changing how it's rotated. Happy I could help💜

i really like room builds! i think they're really fun to watch with all the clutter and detail.
also, while they are somewhat difficult to fit into an existing house, i have absolutely downloaded rooms from the gallery in the past and then just transferred the items into the room i want to furnish to copy the vibe, so i think they're still useful!
To get items at the right height for shelves or sized down surfaces you should use the cube shelves from dream home decorator bc they fit most small clutter items on them. so put the item on the cube, move the cube to the right height and there you go - you can move the item to its desired spot! It’s a bit like the red CC shelf

i use room builds a lot (and i'll use this one as well for sure, it rules)
room builds are my bread and butter. i don't really enjoy doing builds from scratch, but i love tweaking houses and customizing them to my playthrough. even if I can't just plop it down, i can still take the items and place them to fit the actual space.
Love this room simsie!!! But when you where looking for a lamp for the nightstand you missed a great opportunity to use the cat light from my first pet stuff!!!! It would have been so cute! But still love the room. 😻❤️
I’ve played the sims for a long long time, I always forget/miss out items from packs as I’m used to using the same things. So when I come across things from packs I’ve had for ages, but have never used, I always get so excited and surprised 😂😂 like that door you used for the room!!
sizing down the huge animal plushies and dollhouses still allows them to be functional and i think its super helpful :) i also usually size down the big toy bin since its chonky

I love to build rooms! It works great with my short attention span and need to have a very detailed space. It’s very similar to my writing, as I am very much a one-shot writer with a few exceptions. Drawing is harder to shortcut, but as soon as you get past the sketching phase it can be pretty mindless so somehow I manage to draw 24+ pieces while only SLIGHTLY going insane!
The build is super cute, and I love it. It makes me want to give pets another try.

Instead of raising items to shelf height with the 9 key, I use the modular cube shelf because a lot of items can slot into it.

Yes! Build the whole house. But do it one room at a time. You put sooooo much detail into this room when it was the only one you had to focus on. I feel like the finished house would be amazing if you did it that way.

I saw someone recently shrink down the wall decals and put the over the windows to look like window clings!
ur builds never fail to amaze me 0:’) u should try to do a build where u can only use each item once! so you cant use a chair or table or even window more than once, but you could probably use something like a countertop more than once because otherwise it would look extra weird lol! anyway love ur vids

I cannot even calculate how long (off and on) I have played the Sims and I didn't know you could custom slot items. Raise items up, slow turn them? What?! HOW?! I learn that you can do new things every time I watch her videos. It's really sad it's taken me this long because decorating could have been even more fun!

YES! Make each of the rooms based on different pets/animals. Ex: Kitchen with the bird/chicken sculptures, parents room with llamas, boy's room with foxes, baby's room with bunnies, bathroom with fish, and living room with dogs. Or something like that...
I just figured out how I'm gonna fill Newcrest, each lot/neighborhood is a different animal theme.

it would be really interesting to see you revisit this after the new High School pack comes out, and see what options that pack brings for a room like this. I know this is probably a younger kids' room and High School will obviously focus more on teens, but it would be interesting to see how the additions to teen bedroom options translate across the board.
If you do the whole house you should do a siblings room and make it dog themed
