How to install Xbox 360 DLC disc content on Xbox One

- In this video I show how you can install Xbox 360 DLC disc content onto your Xbox One. This method is meant for Xbox 360 games that come with DLC discs along with the base game on a separate disc and how you can install the content onto an Xbox One. I can't guarantee this will work with everyone but in my case it did.

Just so you know- certain DLCs listed on the Microsoft store aren't included on the DLC Disc. That said, thanks for the video! major props.

Doesn't work for me. Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine for Oblivion appear in the show with their prices, meaning I have to pay again.
What I had to do was install Disc 2 first. The DLC installs first, then the base game appears in the queue with them and installs after.

Thank you! Fallout 3 is the only one in the series I haven’t 100% the achievements on but haven’t replayed it because I own two of its DLC on a disc and could never get it to work on my Series X. Usually the dlc disc would just launch the vanilla game…

I saw you having troubling getting The Wizard’s Tower to work. Did you get it working in the end? I have all the other DLC installed and running, just not that one.

I had The Wizards Tower. It suddenly disappeared one day. I can't load my game, which I have 45 hours into, because it relies on files no longer present now that The Wizards Tower is gone. I've received no help with this problem. This happened in April of last year and I still haven't been able to load my game. 45 hours is a long time I don't want to start over again. I really liked my character. I considered buying the disc to get the tower back but now idk of that will even work. I'm so disappointed.

I have a question. After I install all the dlc through your method. Do I need the dlc disc in the xbox or can I take it out and put in the normal disc, or to play digitally, and the dlc still be there or does it have to be in the xbox
I'm fairly certain you will need the dlc disc in the Xbox for it to work.

I have the elder scrolls IV oblivion GOTY edition installed along with all the DLC's and it says they are all installed but when i click on any of them in game it takes me to the 360 part an they all have the black check mark showing me that i have them installed and at the bottom of that page there are 3 choices to choose from -- cancel --- do you want to DL this again --- and the PLAY GAME button that won't let me click to play any of them. Any suggestion's ???

It says I own the wizard tower dlc on my game but I never purchased the dlc and it doesn't work in my game I try buying the dlc but it doesn't work it's a weird glitch idk what to do about it
@@zerkieclarke4024 I bought the Wizards Tower DLC on the 360 when it came out. But it still asks me to buy it. I try buying it but I get an error. I’ve been contacting Microsoft support since March 19th 2021, but get no where with them (always tell me it is being looked at by engineers or higher ups, but one one contacts me back). It is very annoying as I also can bot play it in my game. You can contact MS support and try your luck with them and say you’re not the only one with this issue. Hopefully the more people who contact them, will make them pay attention and fix it.
I've been contacting them since April 2020 for the same issue and they refuse to help. Frostcrag worked just fine on my Xbox One for a year and then suddenly disappeared. O have 45 hours into my playthrough but it won't let me load it without the DLC. I haven't been able to play my game for a year.

I was literally trying to figure this shit out for borderlands cuz I have a triple pack with borderlands 1 2 and the prequel with all the DLC for all three
Did you also know that the base game will install from the DLC disc on Xbox One and play it from that disc? That's how I am still able to play Dragon Age: Origins because for some reason it doesn't want to work on my 360.

I don't have a series X but I can only assume that you don't have to buy a disc to play the DLC you can just buy it from the Microsoft store

On my Xbox series x I downloaded fallout 3 then I put in my disc 2 for the dlc and it just started downloading all the dlc immediately by itself
I'm using an Xbox One S and if I had to speculate it could be a different process depending on what console or model you own.
So if I was playing fallout 3 got the dlc would I have to start a new game
I haven't played Fallout 3 so I wouldn't know for sure. I do know that when it comes to Xbox 360 games the console saves your game to the cloud.

But DLC aren't showing up. The DLC's are installed and everything. Can someone help?
I haven't actually played any of the games listed so I'm not sure what the issue is but perhaps try playing the game with the dlc disc in the console.

If u have an external hard drive the discs will not work remove the drive and they will install to get the dlcs install disc 2 and use disc 2 to play do not use disc 1 or u will lose the dlcs

Works and doesn't work unfortunately today. Your title is misleading you're just installing from the store I was hoping there's a way to install from disk. .Dragon age origins of anyone's curious, there's some disk exclusive dlc for the ultimate edition, it's in the microsoft store but not available for I shall even with the disk inserted. Rip guildmasters belt, you shall be missed. :(
Unfortunately there is no way to install directly from the disc as the disc itself just serves as a license. So basically unless the content that you want to install happens to be on the disc but not on the Xbox Store of your Xbox One/Series X you can't install it at all, which is sadly the case for the Xbox 360 copy of Borderlands Game of The Year Edition.

Idem. I'm playing the spanish version and the dlcs are downloaded, but they don't work. Besides I have two different discs containing dlcs (broken steel and point lookout in one of them and operation anchorage and the Pitt in the other)
Edit: It seems you need the GOTY edition, separated dlc disks don't work
