- TTI 260 (GE U28B) pulling the CBQ 504 in dynamic braking to put a load on the locomotive. There are some DB grids missing from 260, so it cannot be self-load tested.

Like that sound!! Years ago the NYNH&H RR had U25B diesels. It was a pleasure to hear them working a grade with the throttles wide open. Sometimes the exhaust would make a snarling noise when the U25Bs were really working hard.

TTI got B36-7 and all of the old U25 and 28B's were cut up so rebuilding 260 was out of the question. At the end 260 was shoving a lot of heavy loads of coal in Maysville Ky power plant and this can be seen on DVD called GE Shortlines in the Southeast from Plets Express.

1616 is at SARM. That's a U25B, this is a U28B.

surprised parts were missing-the IRM can't find someone to give them gome 'grids for the u28.
note this was about 2 months after they got the unit.

Were those flames towards the end? Wonder what that tapping noise was.
They'll shoot a little fire out the stack sometimes. Even the AC44's did that. The noise is simply 4-cycle raw power.
@@UnionThugg I think that every "tap tap tap" that we hear is all of the cylinders restarting the 4 stroke cycle over and over again
