Phoenix wanted love, any time someone attacked or confronted her she went sideways, but when Logan approached her she could read his mind and could tell he did love her, so she allowed him to approach and then Jean broke through at the right moment
The Jean Grey in X2 and X-men 3 were so different that it was almost like she was played by different actress. The X2 Jean was so heroic, bright and kind, but the Phoenix in X3 was so scary, evil and unfamiliar. This really makes you feel as devastated as Wolverine and the other X-men. She really turned from everyone’s beloved Jean into Dark Phoenix. This is what great acting is and the reason why Famke is the most iconic Jean Grey. I like Sophie too but her version was nothing compared to Famke’s. In the new version, I didn’t even feel anything when Jean turns dark. Also the relationship and bonding between the younger X-men were close to none. The casting of all the younger versions of X-men was so rush and not as fitting as the original.
Even though there are mixed opinions about the writing of The Last Stand and the movie in general, I actually really like this scene. It really shows how powerful Jean really is as the Phoenix and what she can do. She was annihilating everyone and everything and acting like Thanos when the Blip happened. I haven't watched the movie. I've just seen certain scenes, most of the ones with Jean Grey becoming evil.
Why no one talks about the music? When I listened to Insertion in Cinema, my immediate thought is this X-men 3 The last stand, and this scene, this very moment. It is so perfect. It seems that the epic of the Phoenix lies not only in its power, but also in what is used to demonstrate its magnificence. In here, we feel clearly that the music (both Phoenix Rises in X3 and Insertion in Dark Phoenix) portrays the power and the fate of the Phoenix so breathtakingly. In the end, its death begins its immortality. P.S: well, in fact, I believe there is very minor cut so the Insertion soundtrack fits the scene, and the cut is very well-done (I noticed it because I listened to Insertion every time I had a bath, for more than a month

I honestly find it such a shame that more wasn’t done with this era of X-men. I wish Marvel owned X men sooner as THIS casting is absolutely insane. Marvel have always had a plan and stuck to it that’s why it worked so well. The younger x men ruined the franchise with its inconsistency and it’s obvious view of the franchise as a cash show. But up to X3 they would have been a perfect addition to the MCU with Hugh J, Famke, Patrick and Ian! Spidey is meant to be a happy jolly kid like in the comics whereas Tony’s depiction is far too serious and awkward. The majority of people only like him since he is the original. Tom Holland’s character is more true to the comics, and I bet if Tom was the original spider man everyone would hate Toby’s spider man. As a Wanda Stan, something I don’t understand in the Wanda vs Jean debate is why people are so delusional in thinking the current Wanda in the MCU can take on Jean in full fury. Tried mixing the whole final battle with Reckless and this Insertion. It actually sounds epic. But that track containing SFX, dialogue and ambiences has pieces of original soundtrack, which will make it really hard to mix it

Also, the Dark Phoenix soundtrack works so well with this scene.
Don't compare the Phoenix Force to every marvel villain or heroes, Phoenix Force is a Cosmic Abstract/Force and is the embodiment of life, death, rebirth and resurrection itself. And it has this story when Galactus tries to separate the PF from rachel summer but roman told Galactus that if he kills it(tho it cannot be killed) all life will cease to exist and all will perish. Phoenix Force has many avatars because it is omniversal and multiversal but the actual Phoenix Force is powerful enough to destroy Galaxies, Universes and Worlds just for fun and only the annihilation of the whole star system are the only way that can satiate it. I honestly find it such a shame that more wasn’t done with this era of X-men. I wish Marvel owned X men sooner as THIS casting is absolutely insane. Marvel have always had a plan and stuck to it that’s why it worked so well. The younger x men ruined the franchise with its inconsistency and it’s obvious view of the franchise as a cash show. But up to X3 they would have been a perfect addition to the MCU with Hugh J, Famke, Patrick and Ian! I have love for Halle Berry but Storm has always been unfortunately sidelined which is an absolutely waste of one of the best characters
imagine if the MCU started from the first X-Men movie! we coulda had the OG X-Men and Tobey MaGuire’s Spiderman in one universe!
@@crystalmonroy9111 I’m gonna say something controversial, Toby McGuire was actually a terrible Spider-Man. Spidey is meant to be a happy jolly kid like in the comics whereas Tony’s depiction is far too serious and awkward. The majority of people only like him since he is the original. His set up of Spider-Man ruined Andrew Garfields chance at ever being accepted. Tom Holland’s character is more true to the comics, and I bet if Tom was the original spider man everyone would hate Toby’s spider man. As for Mary Jane idk why they cast Zendaya she’s just a terrible casting choice I actually do prefer the original MJ

As a Wanda Stan, something I don’t understand in the Wanda vs Jean debate is why people are so delusional in thinking the current Wanda in the MCU can take on Jean in full fury. Jean is destructive and unpredictable, she is pure destruction and does not discriminate in who she kills, be it strangers/ lovers or humans/mutants. Wanda has not reached her potential so idk why it’s even an argument that she could win in a fight. And even so as of yet, Wanda has kept her conscious as seen in Wandavision and doesn’t want to willingly hurt anyone. Jean will dust you and not think twice. Jean solos.

I would say they are both pretty even depending on what the storyline is and how the writer wants it to go but the scarier thing about Jean is she’s always depicted as someone who’s not in control and that might put her in the winning position.
I think Scarlet the witch would put up a pretty good fight, not Wanda though .. The Phoenix would still f her up though !
@@Jp-xl9ik disagree. the phoenix force chooses to enter a mutant with great base powers, choosing jean as its vessel. at base, wanda is miles stronger than jean so the phoenix force couldve easily chosen her. however, wanda wields chaos magic and it rejects the phoenix force. in the comics, wanda literally splits the singular phoenix force into 5 entities.
either way they both lose since they both dont have control of their powers, cthon and the phoenix force does (as the scarlet witch and dark phoenix respectively)
The "Yin yang" theory was said because of the EVENT of Avengers vs Xmen. When Wanda & Hope said "No more phoenix", Phoenix (leaving hope) just after that said "More mutants" and more mutants were born. THAT is REFERED here as 'yin yan' Wanda's "No more mutant" to Phoenix's "More mutants". That is yin and yang. In reality chaos magic and phoenix force are NOT yin yang to each other. I repeat, they AREN'T equal.

Believe it or not this wasn't phoenix it was Jean/ A Persona Xavier created when he put the mental block in jean's head When jean got rid of that mental block she had a seperate persona Xavier explained it as Cold, Dark, Aggressive & Revengeful. SO WHAT WE ARE SEEING HER NOW IS JEAN IN HER BASE. In Xmen apacolypse she used her raw power that Phoenix force sensed it and came to her and the merged in space. Base jean beats base wanda. Wanda's best feats in base is controlling a town while jean's best feat in base is Decemating buildings cars trucks hydrokinesis turning buildings into ash even WITHOUT TRYING. Go on with that JEAN AINT THE ONE

Tried mixing the whole final battle with Reckless and this Insertion. It actually sounds epic. But that track containing SFX, dialogue and ambiences has pieces of original soundtrack, which will make it really hard to mix it

Also, the Dark Phoenix soundtrack works so well with this scene.
She always had it in her, but Xavier held her back so that she wouldn't reach her potential.

Don't compare the Phoenix Force to every marvel villain or heroes, Phoenix Force is a Cosmic Abstract/Force and is the embodiment of life, death, rebirth and resurrection itself. According to screenrant comicon it is second only to one above all. And it has this story when Galactus tries to separate the PF from rachel summer but roman told Galactus that if he kills it(tho it cannot be killed) all life will cease to exist and all will perish. Phoenix Force has many avatars because it is omniversal and multiversal but the actual Phoenix Force is powerful enough to destroy Galaxies, Universes and Worlds just for fun and only the annihilation of the whole star system are the only way that can satiate it. The most powerful form of this entity is the WHITE PHOENIX OF THE CROWN, and by that it can hold a universe in its hands and warp reality❤
If at the end (when wolverine killed Jean) we could have heard the scream of the phoenix it would be awesome. Famke the best that could have portrait Jean/Dark phoenix.
