I ordered a deep cup jet black kelly mouthpiece because of you! Thank You! I'm still waiting it to arrive :D! I'm much more well informed about the Kelly Brand, and their lexan, polycarbonate material they use. I heard they're from Wisconsin and also distribute surgical stainless steel mouthpieces too(but over $100), which is pretty cool!
What is the difference between the medium and deep cup mouthpiece? You kind of touched on the subject but I am still confused and I want to buy a mouthpiece for myself but I don't know which one I should get. I've been playing the french horn for over a year btw
Deep cup mouthpieces are a bit harder to use, but they can play high notes a lot better. It's a bit like switching from a single to a double horn-a double horn is hard to start on, but if you learn how to play a single horn first, a double horn is a good next step since you can do more. Shallow cup mouthpieces are easier to play on, but they can't do as much as deep cup ones.

I definitely like your horn advice videos, and I think it would also be cool for you to do covers of video games soundtracks that have amazing horn features that are super intense. If you look at Christian Lennertz and his piece Redball Express from Medal of Honor European Assault, pieces like that give me goosebumps! (p.s DCI horn features would also be super cool)
So if this is a budget mouthpiece should I buy it with a plan to upgrade in the future or is this a permanent mouthpiece? Also will this affect my trumpet playing too?
Relax,don't bunch your bottom lip, of course use more air,and observe how you play in the mirror and then go observe how relaxed professional players are when hitting higher notes.

I enjoy your covers, but think that the youtube-verse could use a real horn player reviewing horn products as well as sharing how-to tips. Much like Matonizz does with the Euphonium.

Haven't played in 11 years, don't own a horn, but damn if I don't want those mouthpieces.
I like both but it might be better for more product suggestions and then like an occasional cover. 😁
