Team Kwik trip 😉 there’s nothing like fresh fried tenders from KT!
You know it! And pro tip - sometimes you can find them a dollar off in the cold section. Still good that way.
My family & I moved from Sugarland, TX to Sheboygan, WI almost 2 years ago. It didn't take long for us to fall in love with KT. As a professional driver, however, I don't see Buc's coming close to KT! The entire state of Wisconsin is trucker friendly & Buc's isn't trucker friendly AT ALL.
I LOVE how y'all went to both establishments, compared them & weren't biased.
Thanks for watching and your kind words. Made our day! And thank you for being a trucker. Have you been to the world's largest truck stop in Iowa? We are thinking we should make a video there.
@@Lovenesters I appreciate it. Yes! Iowa 80 exit 284 off I-80 is definitely worth stopping for! Another awesome stop would be in Joplin, MO exit 4 on I-44! I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do when I stop. The restaurants in both places are phenomenal & there are several gifts to choose from as well. Let me know how it goes!
@@raeneal3825 thanks for the tip.
Kiwk Trip lets TRUCKERS visit!!!!
True and you can't beat their chicken!
Being from La Crosse, we absolutely love our Kwik Trips and Kwik Stars! We are road tripping to Florida next year and are mapping out Buc-ees as a must do stop on the way. But I must say, though, I am extremely fond of KT's Cheese Filled breadsticks! 🤤
Oh we've never tried those! We will have to check them out. Thanks for the tip.
Thank you. I’m moving from Alabama, where I’m about 14 miles from a Buc-ees, to Tomah, WI. I was bummed about not having a Buc-ees. I’ll have to wait until 2025 for it to open, but it’ll be worth it.
In the mean time there is a Kwik trip - a rather large one in Tomah. And you might want to add to your list of things to check out - Cranfest. The worlds largest cranberry festival is right down the road from you. We did a video on it - a good time. Welcome to Wisconsin. Our channel has a ton of ideas of things to check out in this state.
Kwik trip hands down. The operative word is QUICK. Small cozy stores with just enough services for travelers to get what they need and get back on the road. Perfect for seniors and easy to keep track if youngsters. Faster food than a drive through for a grab and go sandwich. Takes over an hour for a family Buckee stop!
Well said - Thanks so much for watching.
I had the great honor of checking out the Buc-Ee's which opened in Tennessee in the company's outward expansion outside of Texas. As good as Kwik-Trip's food is, Buc-Ee's is going to slay Kwik-Trip when it comes to their brisket, ribs and other hot food items. Either Kwik Trip is going to have to up their game to stay relevant otherwise Buc-Ee's is going to take over the Wisconsin market fairly rapidly. I could see three Buc-Ee's central located: Madison (DeForrest), Kenosha/Racine (Milwaukee Corridor) and either Green Bay or Wausau (reaching either the Upper Peninsula travelers if Green Bay, Minnesota drivers if Wausau). Great video and thanks for the info!!!!
Thanks for watching!!!! Personal preference I'm sure but we love the kwik trip chicken. But Buc-ees fudge that is my weakness. Already have a list of flavors to try.
Brisket is not life up here bro! I’m sure it’s good but Kwik Trip is the place to be! Buc ees is too big, looks like a mall on Black Friday-- no thanks
Kwik Trip Gang.
@@supermcfly100 Gotta love Kwik Trip!
@@Lovenesters they putting money in my pocket. Best regular job I’ve ever had.
Bucees is just a large grocery store with a large gas pumping station
And they have great fudge! Thanks for watching.
Nahh bro
Pull a Menards and double locations b4 their competition enters the state!
Good plan! Thanks for watching.
I’ve only been to Bucees in TX. Their milk & dark chocolate salted caramel is some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had!! Keep in mind, I’m not a chocolate fanatic…
Going to have to try that next time we are there. Thanks for the tip.
As a resident of La Crosse Wisconsin, I love Kwik Trip. It's my favorite convenient store... I go to Texas every year for vacation.. Buc ees is an adventure. Whole new experience. No comparison
And they both serve a different need. We will be lucky to have both.
Yes, Buc-ees is a 20minute hassle
Thanks for watching
I prefer the Kwik Trip Sour Cream Old Fashioned-but I’ll eat any donut(s). Kwik Trip employees are the best!
We could not agree more Kwik Trip employees are the best! Thanks for the donut tip we will have to give that one a try. Thanks for watching.
The ultimate clash is Kwik Trip vs Wawa/Sheetz. If that happens (not until after 2027 at the soonest).
There's a Buc-ees in Florida within a mile of a few Wawa's. Bucees is an experience (available time in the store is 30 minutes) and neither really affect the other in FL, as Wawa is in and out in 5 min or less (unless getting MTO items). So Kwik Trip will be fine.
Yes I think they will be. Now we will have to check out a wawa! Thanks for watching
Wawa is supposed to open up stores in Indiana in 2025. Sheetz has some going in in lower Michigan. So the likely clash point of these convince titans is in the Chicago metro region.
I like both gas stations but Buc-ees is over priced it's a tourist trap. One bbq sandwich is over $7.00. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean. Kwik trip has just gotten better with age and I believe they will just get better.
Well said. Thanks so much for watching!
I don't understand why " you" people like kwik trip
Bet it’s a way better bbq sandwich instead of that spongy fake McRib knockoff that kwik trip sells😂
It was good just a lot of sauce. Thanks for watching.
@@thegreatone11 Well many people like the consistency of knowing what to expect, the clean restrooms and the extremely friendly people. Thanks for watching.
You completely missed Kwik Star in iowa... Can't take this serious anymore
Thanks for noticing! At one time we had Kwik star in the video with locations in Illinois and Iowa, but the video was focused more on Bucees coming to Wisconsin so it was cut. You are obviously a Kwik trip fan.
Buc’ees strikes me as more gimmicky, whereas KwikTrip is an above average convenience store and focused, also a little monopolistic.
Thanks for watching. Two very different approaches for sure.
Confused. Here in Georgia it's Quik Trip. Is this the same company?
So Kwik Trip does also operate under the name Kwik Star in Illinois and Iowa. They are not that far south, so I believe that is a different company. Thanks for watching. We are glad you found the channel.
Not the same. The K stores blow away the Q stores
Quik Trip based out of Oklahoma
No competition.
Thanks for watching. They both serve different needs don't they.
May favorites at kwik trip/ kwik star are the smokey mac n cheese bites..sweet n spicy boneless wings.. and the chicken Sriracha eggs rolls ..also there coffee. I can't pass them up when I stop. Also as a OTR trucker I have noticed that I get better fuel mileage with there diesel compared to every other place as.well. and just a FYI they also that kwik stars in iowa (that's where im from) y'all forgot to add iowa and north dakota in your intro as locations!
Thanks - those sound like yummy things to try. Thanks for sharing kwik star info for others. We had a slide made for the video but cut it because the video was on wisconsin. We are thinking of doing a video on the world's largest truck stop in Iowa. Have you been there? Any thoughts? Thanks for watching!
@@Lovenesters yes I have been there. It's a cool place. Has a movie theater dental office and LOTS of semi lights and accessories for semis. There is a buffet as well as taco bell pizza hut Wendy's and some other fast foods in the food court area. They hold a pretty big semi show there as well its called the "jamboree" there's also a semi museum there. I took my son with me in the semi for a week and we spent the night there specifically just so he could see all the semis lit up at night in the parking lot and also the semis that is inside on the turn buckel. It's something to check out!
Never understood why people love kwk trip so much. Usually higher prices on gas , food is terrible.
Food has gotten worse and worse over the past year and expensive especially considering they now want 2.59 for a small slice of pre frozen pizza. Yeah that so called fresh take and bake stuff? It was all frozen before and they just thaw it out in the back and put it on the shelf and claim it’s fresh. Same for the 1.99 muffins they’re always trying to push at the register, they arrive to the store frozen. Those weird heat and serve hot spot burgers cost as much now as mcdoands and they’re always room temperature or cold. I have been going to the place less and less frequently over the past few months.
Also they were brainwashed as kids that kwik trip is wonderful even though it isn’t. So they don’t know any better
Buc ees will be way better
We are looking forward to it. Thanks for watching.
Nuh uh. Kwik trips are around every corner in Wisconsin. I drive 30 minutes to college and pass 5 Kwik trips along the way.
There were no Buc-ees in Texas when we lived there. And now none where we live. No Kwik Trips either.
Bummer - hope one comes your way soon. Thanks for watching.
Thank you. I’m moving from Alabama, where I’m about 14 miles from a Buc-ees, to Tomah, WI. I was bummed about not having a Buc-ees. I’ll have to wait until 2025 for it to open, but it’ll be worth it.
Kwik Trip will serve you well
