    After getting up at five am I ate some yogurt and saw your vid...Breath... Inspired me to get out and ride. After about 10 straight days of 80-90 degree temp this morning was a God send. 65 with no/low humidity, great. 6am riding by myself across the GWB, bright clear sky. Hit my fav road Henry Hudson Terrace, if you're ever in NYC...find it, for a tree lined road with water falls and fragrant flowers. Only hikers, no cars, and only saw two cyclist heading in the opposite direction. Spectacular morning. Thanks for that inspiration.

    • @bteiv676
      @bteiv676 Před 7 lety +1

      My only problem was the sun. Streaming through the tree's leaves put me @ a disadvantage because the sun, coming from the east was directly in my line of sight. I stayed on course but stoped pedaling. A little scary but nothing major. Of course if there were any obstructions I would have had a, possibly, a big problem. By the by, I got up @ 5am but probably didn't hit the road 'til 5:45. Still a great time for that peaceful solo ride. Thanks again. I will subscribe. Thanks for your quick reply.

    I want to give you a big thanks. I was new to cycling 8 years ago, and in my first month had a horrible wreck, breaking multiple bones with months of recovery. I sold my bike and thought I'd never try that again. About 6 months ago I reached my max weight ever and decided to try cycling again. I was scared to get out on the road, so decided to get a power trainer and Zwift. I've been hammering Zwift 5-6 days a week ever since, lost all the weight, and I'm about to get back on the real road now. Next step is to take it slow out there and conquer the fear from my wreck. I've received a lot of real inspiration from this channel, so a big thank you and keep up the great work.

Kept cycling, kept losing weight, gave up chips for broccoli, rode more, lost more, rode more RAGBRAIs (12 now). Cycling saved my life. Literally. 68 now, just got back from riding the Natchez Trace, looking forward to my first gravel ride in March of 2022.

    Powertap P1's? I'm assuming you have the dual pedals - what made you decide on those over crank-based etc? Have you found true left/right useful? Great vids. Keep em up! Even when you lose races, you're still better than 95% of everyone else.

    • @RealMJSr
      @RealMJSr Před 7 lety

      Jarrah FitzGerald - I own the p1 pedals, and here's what I found. I have a L/R imbalance that is usually around 52%/48% - if I had bought a single sided PM then it would have reported my watts off by a decent margin.
      Does everyone need dual sided, probably not. But if you have the money then I say go for it.

    I never get enough of this video, Bruh !
    Anytime that I am down (for instance, right now I am recovering from a broken leg and some other issues with diabetes, but will rectify them and get back to riding soon....p.s. weather in Chicago is really fluctuating), I just rewatch this...and.....JUST BREATHE.
    Thank you for this, Bruh !!!

    I bought a hybrid bike in July. First ride in 20 years. I got destroyed going up a hill, had to keep stopping. I went back and back until I could do it without stopping. Then I went up bigger and bigger hills. And went for longer and longer.
