I saw her play in November in Philadelphia 1969
I was 19 now I'm 72
N still love her music 🎶
Ha 4561s my number my grandson is hendrix crank it up 4 the oldies
Wow. You were fortunate to have seen Janis, we had her for a short time. As I always say I wish I had a time machine and could see all the talent from the 60's and 70's.
I spent some time with her during that Philadelphia trip. And boy - was she a trip.
I saw her in Philly, a friend drug me to the show, and then, WOW..........
I was at this concert. She drank 2 bottles of Southern Comfort and sang her heart and soul out. Long live Janis!
+Daniel Kalmann She's not drinking on stage in any of the songs during this concert, just smoking (a cigarette) at the beginning
holasoynegroelnegro were you there
Janis!!!
where all the flowers gone?
.
a cautionary tale
.
When the fans come onstage I can't help but smile and be so happy, what an amazing moment
Me too. It's because she was so happy with them and they were being cool about it. Love it.
People refer to her as a rock singer but in reality she was one of the best blues singers I've ever heard.
people do people stuff...
but janis is janis! and she'll alway be a piece of my heart :-)
@@dannychambers8076 hardly she doesn't even beat out Janis . Ann was very good but she is no Janis
Doesn't matter for she could sing and was a great artist. We all have issues so stop judging
“I met a girl who sang the blues,
And I asked her for some happy news,
But she just smiled and turned away…”
The greatest female blues singer EVER
It never mattered what she sang. Janis always put her whole heart into it. Don't know why they call her the Queen of Rock. She was the Queen of music. RIP Janis. Your truely missed.
The legend dont die
Janis is something out of this world! I have nothing but the deepest and highest honor and love for this great woman. May she rest in peace and her music live on forever.
Absolutely amazing show!!!
Ahhh......there was only one Janis. No one has even come close. I am 73 now and still love her as much as I did in my 20's
Gone too soon like too many others ❤🎶🎼🎶🌹
Only one..I'm in Seventies as well, and still play my records ..the music sustains me..since early 20's. Just ordered CD Cheap Thrills!!
Janis your heart, your love, your pain..
No man could know this kind of love!
@@angelabarsekian8885 hi Angela. Glad to hear you are keeping the music alive. Enjoy ☺👌
I love how she focuses on that shy, meek and quiet girl in the audience. Like she identified with her and was like “I was there, now your here”. It was so sweet and you could tell that for that quiet girl, just getting on the stage took a lot of courage and will. Rest In Peace Janice “Queen” Joplin
Looked entirely sexual to me, including the lyric that Janis sang directly in her face.
The young woman seems so happy Janis Jophin invited her to the stage
She might be shy but she also might just be really high.
this woman is high on L and having the best trip of her life lol
She was ahead of her time
Ha the lady was not 4 turning a shining example to young ladies today u give life live yours to the full dont complain dont explain
this live performance is probably one of the finest and most classic moments in rock and roll history ...
Monterey Festival
Finest
A classic moment but this is not rock n roll..
…because it is a wonder representation of what that era’s music felt like to us.
Can I just say that guy dancing in the white shirt and tie was terrific 👍😊
I ❤ how she gets all those fans on stage to dance with her. Could never happen today.
Exactly 💯
Nick Cave does it frequently.
Right on time total respect
yes but nick cave is just nick cave@@joe56474
Maybe the greatest female blues/rock voice ever....the rest can just go away. RIP Janis, gone but never forgotten.
Try Maggie bell.
@@alistairewen9558 I certainly will anyway. Thanks for the tip friend. Absolutely I love to check out good singers I don't know about.
@@cutgras good, I think you'll get a pleasant surprise. Many Americans thought they were listening to a black girl singing, imagine their surprise, a white girl from Glasgow in Scotland.
Oh! When did she pass away? I don't know.
@@rejoycemchunu6033 1970
I’ve always loved Janis and her free spirit! Rip Janis!
THERE WILL NEVER BE A TIME AS IT WAS IN THE 1960'S, 1970'S, & 1980'S THE ABSOLUTE MOST TALENTED DIVERSE BANDS EVER. THE BANDS FROM THAT ERA WOULD PUT THE MUSIC OF TODAY TO SHAME, THETE IS NO COMPARISON. THERE ARE ONLY A HANDFUL OF DECENT ARTISTS TODAY
Its subjective
What artist nowadays would let dozens of concert goers onto their stage....none. Just shows how amazing, kind, and connected she was to her fans. Absolutely wonderful voice who is dearly missed.
Today's artists (i.e. John Lennon, Christina Grimmie, Dimebag" Darrell Abbott) have to be afraid of wackos who would gladly kill them.
Steel Panther 😁
2022 no one now would not let them on stage now only because now a day im Chicano rapper now we got haters that what to try to fuck us up but when me and the ogs always cary a strap I have a Glock 9 when we are on tour AKA CONEJO
💜💕
@@crand20033 well dimebag was killed
She's still a legend and of the greatest rock singers who ever lived...
Yes,❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯 unforgettable
There's only one Janis
@tokkievonksteen Than stick with Beyonce and let the rest of us be!
@tokkievonksteen Aretha Franklin is the worst singer of them all,
@tokkievonksteen Calm down and go refill your xanax.
Amazing performance. The Queen of rock. The greatest female singer ever.
RIP!🙏🏻
i love Janis music, but I wouldn't say she's the greatest female singer ever, but I would say that she is the greateast natural performer. She just got up and did her stuff. And it was great. RIP
The greatest BLUES SINGER (not only female!)
Agree!
WE LOVE YOU DEAR JANIS! Why did you died so young...so pure...WE MISSING YOU BABY!!!
Hace poco estuve conociendo tu historia..
Capisima...
Janis’s band Big Brother was greatly underrated! An awesome band!
Big Brother and the Holding Company, was the full name of the band
Amen to that. She was front and center. But they were super tight
Sorry, but Janis is probably better seen live, as her watched performances aren't for me. I know her backing band, The Holding Company always thought she took things too far, when less was best & better ! Very troubled young woman, whose peer group at school should be ashamed of the way they bullied her & made her life so miserable !
This is Janis and the kozmic blues band the guitarist Sam Andrew also left Big Brother with Janis to join this band.
After my friends and I saw Janis Joplin we started drinking Southern Comfort, too.
Saw her live in 68. I was in 3rd row. The distinctive southern comfort fragrance was part of the experience. She and they were amazing
More talent and soul in her little finger than 99% of today's acts.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
SOOOOO true!!!
Wow, Im barely getting into Janis, I get chills down my spine watching this woman perform. A band and mic is all she needed. This is a real singer.
Janis Joplin Live 1969 Frankfurt.
Watch her sing Little Girl Blue on the Tom Jones Show.
That's true, no autotune!
Peace ❤️❤️❤️
Yeah, no “arrangers” there!
One of the greatest of my time. There will never be another time like then. She gave us such energy, to face the things that were happening. We could let loose and just be, in her music.
Wow she was the greatest I know. There will never be another one like her. She let's the fans on stage. Wow a gal. !!!. She was so sweet but so mixed up I think. Mabe today they could've helped her. Gone to soon. She was THE BEST. I always loved her. Such presence on stage. No one can top that voice. RIP JANIS. GOD BLESS U SWEETIE. WISH U WERE STILL HERE. love ya . .🥰👏👏👏👏💜😥😥😥😥😥😢
Wow. The way she invites people to dance on stage is amazing. Dancing enriches the music. I love dancing to music.
For me the world stood still when ever she sang what a voice !! Still love to her her music
There will NEVER be another talent as great as she was. You can actually feel her music. 40+ years later we are still mesmerized by her. I wish I could have lived during the beatnik/hippie days...
I did and it will never happen again
@tokkievonksteen --- Ball 'n chain (Cheap Thrills) -- check it out.
As every old person says, life was simpler back then,
Never ever be another Janis .,,, !!!! Just incredible that she was around so little and yet like Morrison Buckley Hendrix etc she is like them so relevant in today’s music. Legend ,,, !!! G
The fact that she got a group of Germans this loose and freaky on stage is a feat in itself.
JANIS vive en los corazones de quienes la amamos,...¡¡.FOR EVER AND EVER!!
Me too, I've always loved stuff like this more than modern music.
She is so amazing and I love the way she brought all those people up on the stage with her I mean it was people of all kinds even the guy with the tie you could tell was a total hippie at heart and having the time of his life up there! I wish I could have been there I noticed the comment where somebody said they were at that concert and that is absolutely rad it's just too sad that we lose all these amazing musicians so young and pretty much all of them to the same disease of addiction and it's very sad but sometimes pain is what it takes to make Shining Star and it's usually the death of them as well. Rest in peace Janice
Maybe micro dosing LSD could have helped her back to some sort of normality off life we will never know big pharmaceuticals suppressing the truth of human plants and molds that cure.
Cannabis for all sorts help opinion for pain morphine for pain all plants alcohol legal and the most destructive of them all don't finger eee i was born april 69 the year of the lie man not on moon ye with there tin foil hats to God bless ❤🙏
I agree, I watch the guy in white shirt with the tie on. He knew "To Live In The Moment". That my friend is wisdom. I wish him & you best.
Well said my friend. Best wishes to you.
She got me through my first years of University and a broken heart - still one of the greatest!
Hello Shirley
How are you doing today?
This is why Janis Joplin was is and will always be the queen of Rock, name another musician currently performing today that would bring two dozen audience members up on stage so that they could sing directly to an individual and dance with all of them she was a singular talent that will never be replicated or duplicated she will live forever as the undisputed queen of Rock!
Iggy Pop does this too
Think the queen of rock was Tina Turner...
JJ was more blues I think
Simply astonishing 💯☘️🕊️ Janis Joplin on stage singing my favorite song 👏take a little Piece of my Heart During her performance she starts to allow first one guest onto a stage and then another until it becomes about 20 people from the audience on stage with her.,🌟❤️ At that moment you realize how humble this young lady is!! She wanted everybody to enjoy her music, and let's not forget that voice. She also wanted everybody to hear🕊️ I mean really hear what she was trying to say in her song about being with a man, you love him but he doesn't love you ❤️💯 rip Janice, I still have the Pearl album 🕊️🕊️🕊️
This performance always hits hard. And I love the audience as much as the band here, it’s beautiful. It makes me feel good!
One of the greats. Totally unique and died so young. Watching her is a mix of happinesses and sadness.
What an incredible lady. What an incredilble performance. We were blessed/

Louca, louca, louca..... docemente, lindamente louca.... eterna.... linda....
Pure exuberance, enthusiasm and love of the music. Janis put her heart and soul into every song she sang. She may have had a sad life in many ways, but when she was 'gettin' down' singing in front of an audience, she looked like she was having the time of her life! RIP! You were one of a kind Janis.
Awesome. One of the best ever.
Brani indelebili !!!🎸☀️
What a Star !!! Never forget you Janis !!!
Such a different time! Imagine letting 'fans' on the stage like that any time recently? Wow!
Thank for posting I've been a Janis fan since early 70's and she was already gone!
Cheers Warren
Janis was/is amazing. Soul sister number ONE.
I always think about how many other great songs she could have released if only her life hadn't ended too soon.
The girl pulled up to the stage seems to be at a loss to understand what's happening right now. Shy, puzzled and definitely stunned, she is spurred on and even hugged by Her Divinity Janis Joplin!
BONJOUR, je confirme.
shy.
RRR
@@Jinette787 Wow! It was you?!
Beautiful, pure energy.
I saw my friend Luis Gasca on the video, the trumpet player. I knew it was a fact, and just a glimpse of him in the horn section, as Janis brought people on stage. You can hear him nailing the high notes over and over take it pow. She and the band were so topnotch.
Who is the bass player? He was absolutely shredding. Great P-bass sound.

nadzwyczajną wrażliwością i kontaktem z publicznością !!!!!!!!! Uwielbiam Ją !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Janis had gotten that close to me singing, i would have been so start struck i would have passed out on the stage..hehe. She was brilliant, gifted and one of the best singers in music. Amen

REAL live music. Just the vocalist and the band. Very rare today.
I've had this song in my head for DAYS now! Thanks for posting it.
I love how she pulls people up on stage. Some are into to it & some are shy. I want the girl in the shawl to break loose. I bet she regrets not doing so!
Awesome awesome awesome. Can't say it enough.
LINDO, LINDO, LINDO!!!!!! MEU DEUS... SEM PALAVRAS! EU REALMENTE NÃO SEI O QUE DIZER! JANIS É MARAVILHOSA!!!!!!!
Eu sei.... Maravilhosa...
Janis was the queen…of everything related with singing and performing!
