Sorry but someone who has so little political awareness that he didn't forsee how leaving earlier would be seen and to attempt to excuse it by claiming that it was ok because he attended the "British" celebrations demonstrates his complete ignorance of history. One of the reasons the 6th of June landings succeded was the sacrifice of the American contingent on Omaha beach who had the greatest number of casualties on the day. Politically he insulted the Americans by snubbing their President and insulted the King who actually attended the International event. I'm not sure there's anything else he could have done to make it worse.

Sunak is unmanly. He is a DEI hire and not a politician that anyone should support.

He needs to stop with that fake enthusiasm. No one believes him.
Thing is, this is probably the closest to an apology we are going to get.

Another fake appearance from Sunak. In a pub trying to come across all British when he doesn’t even drink.
    A complete disgrace indeed.
