All props to the winner, but the loser was awe inspiring. Blood coming out of his nose? Vomiting every two seconds? Say what you will, but there's no denying that's badass!

Don't get me wrong, the winner deserved the win but even despite vomiting and blood nose you were faster on the pullups and the deadlifts (you went into it 4 reps down, he finished 3 reps in front), so it all came down to the bench where I actually reckon you are stronger as well. Only problem is you went real hard, did 10 in your first set. From the outside that looked like you almost went to failure, then you struggled and lost heaps of time finishing them off... kind of like what happened to your opponent in your previous encounter, he fucked himself on the bench ;-)

skip to 5:00 for the start.
Also, Irish guy made same mistake as his opponent in previous battle in bench press, went too hard too early. Should have learned. He went into the deadlifts 4 reps behind and finished only 3 reps behind. So for pullups and deadlift he went faster. I believe he was better at bench also but killed himself by doing 10 reps in the first set and almost going to failure. He lost a lot of time being burned out in bench, doing 1 rep at a time after that.. Maybe the best strategy is just to 5 reps instead of 10, even if you don't hurt and feel really strong, have a break for 30 seconds, do another 5 etc

i thought the same thing. If he did only 8 reps at the first set at the bench he would win. at the last mat he did the deadlifts so easy and fast.

This was the most intense Strength Wars battle I've seen so far. Amazing performance, both are fucking warriors for going through this. Btw this came to mind when I saw Romano in the audience. Who else wants to see Tommy battle against Romano? If I'm not mistaken, they're in the same weight category... And bring Tetzel back, he's the Strength Wars soul animal ;)

This was probably the CLOSEST BodybuildingRev competition - and that the gauging of the competitors was really on point ! From the very beginning I could not pick who would win purely on estimates because the stats were so similar, and their strength areas were balanced. Great video, probably one of my favorites. No need for a rematch because they're both god damn winners that's for sure!
I adore the vegan badass guy that's spotting Thomas. I've seen him (the vegan guy) battle some powerlifter in the last year's battles. Damn. Guy's strong.

Yep definitely putting in the greater effort.
It kinda depends on your build. Conventional tends to be easier for short torso/long armed people while sumo tends to be easier for people with long torso/short arms. So in the end both are fair
