Did you reinstrall your windows??
you use a capture card to record or is it some software because software impacts frame rate
So, I use NVIDIA Shadow Play, so the impact is not that much as the other software's have

Is the computer overclocked and/or have you done anything to make the performance higher or do I get the same frame rate right as I buy the computer and play the game?

On same specs on rog GL703 , in 1080p with mix of medium and high i have 55-70 fps
no point to play in 720p

The reason is for higher frame rates which is important for someone like me with a high refresh rate monitor like a 144hz (I have a 240hz)

Would you recommend this laptop as I’m moving away and can’t bring my beasts with me so am looking for a cheap gaming laptop or would you recommend paying the extra 250 for a gtx 1060 laptop?
So, if you have the budget go for the 1060. If you don't want to spend that extra this is a good laptop and a very portable machine

I have a GTX 1050 3gb with a little bit of nvidia optimization done and I am getting around 95 - 105 fps on 1080p at medium settings on my laptop

Check out the all settings test of Alex legends I did. It should give you a good idea on the settings to use while playing on my channel

you should test whats causing the performance problem in your performance, msi will allow you to see whats the problem.
you should go to nvdia settings and intel graffics and change the settings that are set at battery preservation or something like that to max performance, and in windows settings do that as well.
after that if your still having issues with your performance and you look at the msi and its the temperature try a colling pad(witch doest do mutch but its better than nothing) and search for trottlestop to undervolt you cpu(doesnt affect performance and helps with the temperature).
those are my tips that i use in my laptop

@@neuk90 You might have an antivirus consuming all of your laptops power. ( or just other apps) I remember when i first downloaded my antivirus that my pc was so slow , in couldn't even load the windows search bar
