I have done a number of tests on Apex.
You want to avoid the 300FPS cap and use 290 as the true max.
There is some crazy spikes in FPS, one frame occasionally spiking to 600+fps then dropping back down below FPS target which causes a stutter.
290FPS resolves this weirdness.

Dunno why but with directx12 i have huge fps drop at 1920 x1080, with directx11 i have 178 frame with no drop at 2560 x 1440, could i have set something wrong? i made sure to optimize the directx12 as much as the directx11 game setting and all the stuff related to it

Is it necessary to do the regedit for exclusive fullscreen constantly? Seems like I must redo it after a certain amount of time as it reverts back to 11

I used your launch commands but seems to get capped at 200fps in dx12. In dx11 the cap is at 300fps. Any ideas what is the issue?

Hello Panjno, thank you for all your guides and always uploading constantly, recently ive had an issue in my system, i had an i5 11400 cpu with my motherboard (Asrock B560M-C), and i upgraded to a i7 11700K proccessor, i saw in the chipset specs that this would be compatible, but ever since i upgraded now all my games close after like 1 hour of gameplay, and it does not say any error at all. I was hoping to see if maybe you think that this is some compatibility problem between my cpu and board, or is it that i have to upgrade something else? i already tried re installing windows, all drivers and even change some things in the bios and i cant find the reason for this, if you know anything that could help let me know, thank you in advance 👋 Oh, i also wanted to add that this happens when i use the high performance power option, when i use like 95% percent of proccesor power management it looks like it works fine.
I had a simular problem, it's most likely a faulty PSU or faulty motherboard. Swap psu first tho as it's cheaper. Make sure it has more power available so it doesn't work on 100 percent. I bought a 1200W one and now shit works smoothly.
Ur motherboard power section just can't handle this CPU:)
It's a known bug at the moment since the horizon heirloom event. seems to be a conflict with internet and game.
B560-M? Your VRMs are being overloaded by that CPU. Get a better one.

My main gripe with apex is the Anti Aliasing, when off the shiny glint of all the edges is so distracting. But when TSAA is on everything looks like play dough, and a little blury. Is there a way to achieve a happy medium, with TSAA of and a an external method of managing the sharpness. I have tried the Nvidia sharpening tool to no avail.

I recommend adding -vgui to steam startup in the regedit so you can run old version of steam for less ram & cpu usage (new version uses like 1.3GB whereas old version uses about 300MB)

Yes u want ur power to be high so that ur game gets the full power of ur psu
the only thing that has had issues in the past is if you have nv+boost with an fps cap.....otherwise the answer to your question is yes
This has been perfect for me, up until about a week ago. Maybe it’s the new update, who knows, but upon log in all my keybinds we’re wiped out, and all the graphic settings were totally out of wack. I’ve since rebound my keys, but I think I may have to delete everything that I did from this video as my graphics won’t return to normal. Leaving this comment in case anyone else has this issue.

hey panjno,i hope you are doing well,i have an RTX 4070TI AND I7-12700KF,when i play COH3 which is a strategy game the gpu starts with 97% usage with 210 fps,but within 3 minutes the gpu usage drops to 60-70% and fps drops to like 120-140 and stays like this the whole game,i need your help i tried updating everything reinstall the game turning on/off game mode even format the pc and nothing worked for me,this happens only in this game,in other games the GPU USAGE Is almost always 85-95%,i would appreciate the help,thanks alot.

I've recently got a PC and I don't know much about FPS etc but why do all of this stuff to increase FPS just to then cap it at your monitors refresh rate? I understand that the monitor won't show fps higher than it's refresh rate but if you're going to cap it then why not just use v-sync?

When I switch to dx12, my game crashes right after the legend select screen every single game. I have the frame rate issue and it's driving me crazy.

I've got an i5 11600k and a 4070ti {I'm aware of the bottleneck) but I cant push more than a consistent 100+ fps on 2k with any graphic settings.

Not to mention too, I've been getting these micro stutters even i did all of these things. I found out that if you have razer mouse (mines deathadderv3) + higher polling rate (4000hz) you will get it. to test swipe your mouse left to right then you will get those micro stutters. It also applies on apex inclusive fullscreen. On the other hand lower than 4000hz polling rate works perfectly fine, you will lose some fps but its not noticeable. I hope my writing helps!
in games like valorant you have mouse raw input. i had the same problem and it fixed it. i have the viper 8k. but weird i dont have anyproblems with apex on 8k
@@akito4201 I recently upgraded my cpu from i9-9900k to i9-12900k, but i still get stutters when i move my mouse frequently e,g swiping it. so it might be just a game bug i cant really tell much

@@asdfgh42073 on dx11 apex sadly no, in the other hand dx12 works with any polling rate but when you swipe your mouse too quickly you will see massive framedrops but still works with no stuttering.

Hello, my game is capped at 60 caps no matter what I do to try and fix it. My computer is set to 160hz and I am able to achieve 100+ fps in other games, but in Apex I seem to be capped at 60 fps. I re installed the game and then followed all of the suggestion in this video, still didn't help. Is there a way I can change the refresh rate settings in the game config files? I am not sure what to do.
