5 Advanced Techniques to Make Eyes Sparkle! - Photoshop Tutorial

Create Beautiful and Attractive Eyes Full of Detail with Photoshop! In this tutorial, we will learn how 5 techniques to retouch eyes and make them significantly attractive.
First, we will start by learning how to shape the light and add shine and dimension to the eyes. We will achieve this using simple concepts of blending modes.
Then, we will use Curves to create a kicker light that adds a noticeable depth to the eyes. We will also create details for the iris using advanced brushes, masking, and curves, to make them look dramatic. Also, you will learn ways to create reflections!
Most importantly, we will explore different methods to clean the eye whites and remove veins and irregularities.

The level of detail the professional retouch artist goes to to create a perfect eye is amazing. Although I like the work done in the iris area, I probably would spend less time in the white area to clean that up by just painting over the veins and mottled color by sampling local colour and using 10 percent softbrush, (of course that is just me, the pros would likely spend a lot more time to keep the texture in the white area of the eye, but I do not see the point, unless the image is going to be printed very large or viewed large on screen.) I do however see the beauty of spending time in creating all the nice texture and color in the iris area for high end work as this video shows. Feel free to have your own opinion. This video, though, is being saved to my "best videos" collection on youtube to watch again as great tips.
