In this video I show you my 5 stage process for enhancing the eyes of your subjects in your portraits using healing brushes, dodge and burn layers and blending modes in Adobe Photoshop.

Sean has the very rare ability to explain quite clearly the how of a particular process but more importantly the why of it. Well done.
Da Vinci of our time. Well done Sean! Thank you for making this.
Great tips, really great. And the timing is perfect, I"m shooting three portraits tomorrow for my Church. Time to check out more in your series. Thanks!
Less is more, so right. it is tempting to do too much. Thank you Sean
"Off. And on. Off. And on." I don't know if ophthalmologists do this in the UK but your intonation and pace saying that reminded me of every US eye doctor I've ever been to. They always say "Better like this? Or this? Better like this? Or this?" when they're checking your vision and trying different sight correction options.
Great info! Thanks for all your hard work and great tips. Kudos.
This episode is just great - keep up the good work, Sean.
Fantastic as always Sean
Sean, I really appreciate your work. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Thank you for the work and the knowledge you share with us, Sean! The more I watch your videos the more I like you. Your understanding of photography has deepness, is on another level.
Great work!! You are a one of my heroes.
It is always awesome to see, hear and learn from you. Thank you again.
Love the way you explain the why and the how. The effect was wonderful. Thanks Sean.
I’ve always ignored PS because it’s so huge & intimidating to start and I don’t have much time for editing but for some portrait I might now give it a go
Excellent tips...thanks, Sean.
Excellent job of explaining the process. Very clear. Very helpful.
Thank you, Sean. We all appreciate this content so much. All the best.
Hi Sean, fantastic video. Thank you for sharing it.
You are the best at natural retouching techniques. Thank you Sean
Hi Sean! Thanks for these simple, subtle suggestions for eye enhancement in portraits. Less, indeed, is more!
that was useful, thank you Sean ! 👍
It was so helpful Sean. Thanks 🙏
Sean,
Your videos (especially your portrait based ones) and your book have inspired me to begin and set up my photography business.
Thank you.
Sean, thanks for these tips. They seem easy and yet they have such an overall positive effect. Even when subtle.
Yet another very helpful video, thank you for sharing and explaining it so well! :)
What I really like about this series is the emphasis on making the person look like the best version of themselves. It's almost about editing out the camera or lighting flaws, and less about the person themselves. Very useful to acknowledge that a photo doesn't always represent the person as they are.
Your videos are so inspiring 👏🏼
I really like the level of detail you have in this series. These techniques are non-obvious and you have excellent tips on how and why to apply them.
Excellent tutorial. Bravo !👍👍
Love this and everything you share!
Thank you for four fantastic editing tutorials. Easy to follow and well explained.
Fantastic video, I am loving this series. So helpful in achieving natural looking edits, something I have struggled with for quite a while - so thank you!
Hey there Sean, great video and am looking forward to trying your technique. I’ve had decent results using my method but can say that using yours will be me better results. Appreciate your time and videos that you share, be well!
Please make these kind of videos more. They are really helpful.
Thank you Sean now I just need to find some time to take a portrait and use your techniques!
Great lesson. It's the fine detail of edit that we don't hear about. Tnx v much.
Amazing and very helpful! Thanx
Superb Vlog !
Brilliant!
Thank you , it was so helpful !!!
OMG Thanks Sean. I have started using your tehniks Thnaks ones again.
You're welcome:)
Thank you!
I've looked at and listened to your videos for some time now. I learn a lot from them and a lot has nothing to do with photography. I'm not a professional photographer, not even close. Most of my images are of family and old buildings that are a strong wind away from falling down. I may crop a picture but that is about it. To me the veins in her eyes were imperfections that were perfect. It's just me. I may take hundreds of photos just to get one that is what I actually see. I'm in my seventies and I've seen so much that is not real and that may be why I am the way I am.
Amazing photography content creator!
Thank you
Must look natural. yes! My book is on its way- ill definitely leave a review
Thanks so much:) I hope you enjoy it.
Very nice and interessing :)
I really enjoy your editing videos, seems I'm always learning something. For what it's worth, I use Affinity Photo but what you demonstrate easily translates and I am so much happier and facile with editing that it is almost a pleasure. I don't do portraits, but I look forward to trying the color dodge technique. Now, where is that picture of the Grand Canyon...Keep them coming and thanks!
Wow!
Comment for the robotic overlords. Thanks for the great videos!
Good idea. In some wa back to the roots (of our videos). Thank you.
thank you for thinking of us germans by selling your book🙂
Let's go
wow, I had no idea you can correct just on dark pixels...

FYI, your website is not working properly for me on Firefox. The issue seems to be the youtube video running in the background of your splash page has a higher priority than the "enter" button. So clicking that button pauses/unpauses the video.
Is Alex Kilbee Sean Tucker or is Sean Tucker Sean Kilbee? It's like wow, you both talk and have near identical voices and tone of voice. Same voice coach or a vocal plagiarism as such? Sorry not photography related, but it's just slightly odd hearing Sean Tucker but seeing Alex Kilbee (the photographic eye)! Obviously more than just accent...
I cringe when I think back on how I used to edit eyes when I was first learning 😅
Great tips, Indeed! 👌🏼
damn.. i am getting flashbacks
missing ua vid bro upload fast
Being an amateur photographer I spend my money mostly in photo books: since it it an open source tool, I think it would be useful a Gimp version for this technique.
BTW: I'm quite disappointed by the shipment costs of yours (I know is not your fault, damn Brexit)
Correcting blood vessels in beautiful and healthy female eyes. AI presets for correcting eyelashes or skin, ect, ect. And all this for publishing about 80% of photos on the web/digital media ;)
Argh... not seeing for what was shared here dismayed me. The original photo's eyes were just fine. Why?

I'm the 1,000th liker. Yey. Lol
The more I watch your videos, the less I feel I can manage all the information.
