Very well presented and clear. Think I'll get this.
It is is fun product. Enjoy!
Thank you for the detailed review of the swing analysis part of the application. This is where the most value may be obtained for someone seeking to improve on their swing. Great video.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Sue! This will be helpful for a long, indoor winter practice 😫
Yep. Let's set your goals!
Great topic Sue
Thanks Anne! You know how much I like my Phigolf.
Dear Sue, the PhiGolf was set to training-club, not an actual driver. Please try again with other setting and tell us, if it works. My experience is that the app does not calculate my real swing properly, but as a toy it's fun, playing in front of the tv.
Hi there, yes it was set to trainer club. But it didn't make any difference to the data regardless of setting when I did this a couple of years ago. Thanks for your comment!
Hi Sue, thank you for uploading this great informative video. I noticed you still had the Swing Training club selected instead of a real club. Would the numbers change if you selected real club.
Hi Mathew. Nice catch! Yes, the numbers will change slightly when it is set to real club rather than training club. I'm glad the video was useful. Best wishes, Sue
Thank you for this info.. I looked at the numbers but wasn't really sure about them because I'm a lefty. Are the (+)/(-) still the same as far as open or closed club face and swing path. Please help me.
That is a really good question. In the settings menu you can select L or R handed. If you set it to left handed then the interpretation of the numbers is the same as in the video. If you leave the setting as right handed then they will be the opposite. I hope that helps!
Sue, just wondering have you tried this on the range and hitting actual balls. Just curious how well it works there as well. Also in the app does it only keep the last shot, or can you go back and look at some previous shots of you wanted to compare data?
I have not hit balls with it for a while (and we are in lockdown here at the moment -- including the golf courses -- so couldn't with this). I have not compared the data to that a get with my launch monitor but based on what I expect my data to be it feels right. You can go back and look at all the data you have built up in one session. I have students who screen shot the summary and that works for benchmarking.
As well as the practice mode the play mode is fun....it certainly kept me going last winter! Looking forward to seeing you soon, Sue
What is the product name? Fee Golf Monitor?
Hi there. It's Phigolf. It's very fun 👍🏻
I always thought it's better to have a out to in swing path then in to out?
Hi Gary, an out-to-in swing path is associated with fades, slices and pulls. An in-to-out swing path is more likely to create draws, hooks, and pushes. So it depends what your preferred ball flight is. But most players do better being able to eliminate the slice. So generally an in-to-out swing path is better. This video explains it a bit more: czcams.com/video/uSADmY9FRvE/video.html Best wishes, Sue
Is this still any good?
Yes, it gives you some good data for your swing.
