- Goodwill is the next stop on the Florida finds. This store is a Goodwill first for me with pillars and a grand entrance. Come along for new and vintage items at this seaside location. It's a whole new way to shop with new merchandise procured especially for the store. From Chinoiserie to flip flops, there is something for everyone. Did I mention a gallery of punch bowls? It's vintage glass galore and I wanted more. I would have bought more if I had my car here. See the items I wanted to take home, but left for treasure hunters. I always visit local thrift shops when on vacation. Hope you do the same!

Just back from Italy lots of linen! Tablecloth white linen with 12 matching napkins and another set of 10 napkins plus vintage damask - all from thrift stores. Happy Days!
John, glad to hear from you now that you are back from Italy. If I ever head back there, will ask about your favorite thrift stores. We tend to spend most of our time in Germany and France. Excited about your linens!
I have been going to Cap San Blas FL for years. It’s an island peninsula right next to Port St Joe. If your still in Florida you have to do the 30 min drive to Apalachicola. Wonderful small oyster fishing town it’s very quaint. Great little shops & antiques. Indian Pass Restaurant is right outside Port St Joe and it is just wonderful food & it’s also quite historical.💕
Went to Apalachicola twice during our stay. Loved it! Next episode is in this town.

I really appreciate that you go to OP shops when you travel. When I travel to cold climate countries I usual go to OP shops for a jacket, because I do not want to have to pack one, then I donate it back before I leave.

Loved those small blue plates with the brown edge. I am thinking tapas! Nice embroidered coaster but a coaster with a lip is bit of a hazard even for a small- based glass x
You could present delicious bites on those plates. 😋
I loved the teapot in coral and green hummingbird.
Very nice video. I'm in very south Gulf Coast FL. All of our GW's have very LARGE areas of new merchandise. It's maddening if you're a thrifter. Target is a huge donator of alot of it, and the prices of the merchandise isn't much lower than if you went to Target.
Many of our GW's are privately owned, in other words, not a not-for-profit organization. Many in our area have a bad taste in their mouths for GW, so our donations aren't as cool. I visit once a week anyway. As always, FL is a different animal!
New merchandise takes away the charm. Houston Goodwill stores tried a rack of new earrings. Cheap quality and did not sell.
The Arnel's marked on the bottom of the grape cooke jar is the name of a mold company. My Grandmother had lots of Arnel molds back in the day in her ceramic shop.

I really like the tartan plaid .It also has pictures of fruits on the pattern.I have only 3 place settings and 2 winter plaids the rest is Lenox Holiday. I mix them all at christmas.😂 Its a messy Joyfull affair .I would love to have more of the tartan plaid but the price is going to leave me homeless😂
I love your shopping videos. I have to tell you being a Florida resident myself if you ever come down south to fort Myers. There's a lovely Goodwill boutique called Blue. Check them out. Oh my gosh I love some of these beautiful beach scene accessories the mermaid was beautiful and the dolphins were gorgeous I do a lot of miniature gardens outside. Them to be great and one of my beach scenes

You found some really beautiful treasures I love these beautiful shell pieces that can be used in such beautiful displays thank you for sharing them with us and you said you could use them for that always helps me too when I’m setting up my table scapes for my CZcams channel to have some great insight and what I can use these pieces for. I have some pieces similar to what you have that I never thought about putting him up for dipping sauces they’re a little butter dishes and I do love them super super cute thank you so much for a wonderful wonderful video today full of all kinds of tips and inspiration
Would love to see your tablescapes. I have a seashell theme on my coffee table in the living room. Those shell salt cellars are perfect for little candies when a neighbor pops over.
The ginger jars were just beautiful I love them the colors were beautiful and striking I probably should start looking for some of these they are very popular in flower arrangements and on centerpieces with the CZcams community
Yes, the Chinoiserie ginger jars are versatile and add interest to so many areas of the home. It was hard to pass on these since I was flying. Always great to hear from you!

Tea for Two makes for a perfect afternoon with cake and conversation. This was the name of a tea room in Houston. Good memories.

You’re right it’s like being in a gift shop instead of being in a Goodwill store I don’t think I’ve ever noticed that either. I’ve been to plenty of goodwill stores where they have new stuff from the store but not like it’s like a little gift shop
I much prefer the vintage and high end finds. Headed to Nashville next week and will share some of my favorite spots.
The silver overlay dish that you showed at 1:11 for 2.99 is in memory of Flanders Field. It was a major battle in WW1 where a million soldiers were wounded, missing or killed in action. Silver poppies are in memory of this battle.

Goodwill is not what it was. Mostly closeouts from chain stores. Especially here in Florida. Most disappointing. Love watching your videos. Your so elegant and down to earth. Many Blessings Lady Mary Beth.
Maureen, I agree that Goodwill is not the same as it once was. We are lucky to still have some "old school" stores in Texas and Tennessee. Headed to Nashville next week and will film there.

I loved the three reindeer bowls in the background at 24:00 - so different and so cute. Plus - I would have purchased the Pioneer Woman tablecloth for sure.

It's hard to pay retail for trays (and baskets) with thrift stores having a great selection.

I was just at Goodwill yesterday, here in Wisconsin. I really found some great deals! I don't usually find great deals at at Goodwill. But decided to stop in on my way to another thrift shops. Was looking for some things to organize my home. Found a brand new hanging rack ,never opened and in the box $4.99 And some awesome metal storage baskets ,all in the same color and the farmhouse style for $3 each.

Royal Norfolk is a Dollar Tree brand sold in their stores for $1.25 per item. Resellers often list/sell Royal Norfolk as Greenbrier International. Greenbrier is a sourcing company for Dollar Tree and both are owned by the same parent company, Exhibit. Dollar Tree is my go to place for ‘crafty’ items, wrapping paper, cellophane wrap, patterned/coloured tissue paper and their paper doilies come in a 32-pack of four different sizes. You never know what you’ll find for $1.25.

I saw where another person commented elsewhere that (believe it or not!), the older Royal Norfolk from Dollar Tree resells REALLY well! Have you found this to be true? And, if so, how do you identify the "older" Royal Norfolk patterns? (Guess I could look up eBay solds, hunh?😁)

The Goodwill store in my local area (Michigan) started selling new items years ago. I tend to enjoy thrift shops with vintage/thrift items instead of new, but I understand that there are different marketing strategies for various areas. Loved the chinoiserie ginger jars - they did look vintage. Hope the Florida trip was restful.
Florida was relaxing and good family time. Little did I know then that the wheels were about to fall off the wagon.
