I would go to Franklin with my grandparents, shop for antiques and go to lunch. They built the log home that is just off of Belle Meade Blvd and Tyne.
Wonderful to have sweet memories with your grandparents. Will look for the home next visit.
I love the China lamps. It would have to be in a bedroom. I have a very modern living room. We had to rebuild it a couple of years ago.. it has ultra modern room which was decorated by my husband.

I was at the Franklin Antique Mall in August while visiting my aunt in Murfreesboro. I bought a couple of teacups and saucers, but there were so many lovely things there. I’m looking forward to going back. She wants to take me to a big antique store in Nashville next. I’d LOVE to see your depression glass in a table setting! 💖

It would be lovely on your table. Hope someone is enjoying it. I called the shop this morning to inquire about the Loch Ness trinket box. They said most things sell in a week. I never learn to buy it when I see it. 😂
Oh I know LMB how many times have we been guilty of not striking while the iron is hot, sadly I do it all too often, with such gorgeous goodies on offer we shouldn’t wait. Look forward to your next expedition to another Goodwill or similar.
So glad you picked up the Waterford salt shaker. I found both at a garage sale and had no idea what they were, just pretty. Paid less than $5.00. Also found a Sadler teapot today at Goodwill for $3.00. Good day!!

Just so many beautiful treasures! I’d love to be able to afford to just back a moving truck up to the front door! 😂 I would have no place to put any of it, though. Two of my favorites were the Nessie trinket box and the coasters - those I can find a space to house.
I’m with you - I don’t understand buying cheaply made (though not so cheaply priced) items when you can own beautifully crafted pieces for the same amount or less. As you say, being able to put things in the dishwasher or microwave can be a factor, but things like platters, pitchers, etc never fit well in the dishwasher and are hand washed anyway. And I don’t mind warming something in the microwave on a paper or regular plate and making the transfer.

Your friends are so fortunate to have you as a "personal shopper"! Love the lamp. I am not a fan of Rae Dunn but I did find that teapot for 5$ at a sale and donated it and other kitchen items to a family that lost everything in a fire. Love these shopping trips!!

You are one of my favorites! I love depression glass, crystal and china! Doesn’t make sense to me that it doesn’t sell well at this time. I can go to a estate sale on the last day of the sale and know the glass or china I’m interested in will still be there and at half off! Happy treasure hunting!

Oh my goodness! I didn't realize I was missing all those beautiful pieces - but I am! As usual, I continue to learn so much about crystal, china and such from you. Whether you are creating a beautiful table setting or thrifting - I am interested. I would have been interested in that darling tea set with the beautiful finial as I've never seen one like that before. A bride registering or shopping these quality and historical pieces at the Franklin Antique Mall would be so much fun and memorable. The antique crystal pitchers were beautiful - so much prettier than the inventory at the big box stores. Thank you so much - I know I'll be watching this again :)

I appreciate your honesty about certain pieces that are better left on the shelf such as the 50th anniversary set or the cordial glasses. You always have such great alternate uses for tableware to make it worth buying but it's nice to know that even YOU would leave some items behind, lol!

I had bought a wine decanter set at an estate sale for half off....when I got home and started to unpack it one of the glasses slipped out of the wrapping hitting the decanter and the decanter broke I was divested so now I am on the lookout for something similar to the match the wine glasses.

Have a special affection for Meissen figurines ever since I saw the Monkey Orchestra at the Art Institute of Chicago - a little grotesque but absolutely fascinating. Hear manufacturer’s names, glass patterns, styles and colours of depression glass talked about but don’t really have a clue who goes with what or what to look for. Would love to see your collection of depression glass along with a tutorial.

I enjoy going to this antique mall. I live just south of Franklin. I watched your video & fell in love with the collie pitcher. So I went there today to buy it. I have a collie named Isabella & love to collect collie items. I have some ceramic and brass pieces along with some books too.

I have such a weakness for glass/crystal pieces, so that was really a nice store. I also collect milk glass, so it's always nice to see that. My daughter gave me the sweetest compliment the other day. She thanked me for "dragging her to antique stores" when she was growing up! lol She said it encouraged her to appreciate nice things at a young age. She's learned a lot & has actually started several different collections of her own. Her friends are always so surprised that a lot of her home decor items were found at thrift stores or antique malls. They're so use to purchasing new & paying a lot more. She even talked a couple of them into going to estate sales w her.😉 I think it's great!

Higher quality milk glass is thicker, less opaque, and called “dead white”.
