- The B&T TP9 / Steyr TMP is for some reason held in a very fond area of my heart. Perhaps it's Counter Strike, but for whatever reason it is the B&T TP9 is a formidable weapon albeit a very odd one. It has some very odd design choices and many sacrifices were made to make a weapon as small as this little guy is.

NGL I never felt much use for the TMP, since you had the dual-G18 may may builds, the Raffica (for people who wanted a handheld M16), and the PP2000 for everything else.
By the time you unlock the TMP, you would’ve unlocked all the attachments for the other machine-pistols that make them much more viable.
Hard to believe MW2 is pushing 15 years old.
I love how this channel is exceptionally informative regarding the weapons and their quirks, but also that you preach training. Without training and being prepared you are not much use, and a danger and liability, to yourself and others, if you get into a life or death situation.
Train hard.

The full-auto version was $50 cheaper than the semi auto version. I tried to get my lgs to save me money by getting me the full-auto version. He said no.😅

Hey as a Swiss owner of a TP9-N including a suppressor I can give you the following tips: FIRST: shoot it suppressed with Fiocchi 158grs Subsonic ammo and it will be MP5SD quiet without the gas in the face. SECOND: Give the trigger (the hammer actually) a little dremel polishing job, after having rounded the edges slightly. The trigger will be 3 times better without sacrificing safety.

The iron sights being an after thought makes sense, when I used this thing in combat back in CS:GO and other fps games of my intense gunfighting career, I just hip fired it, no sights required

This is as close as an everyday civilian gun owner can get to an H&K MP7, unfortunately with the price tag included.

I once had a chance to experience this weapon in service with the Indian army. It was a unique and mean looking weapon. Super easy to handle.

I shoot mine left handed.. it’s not that bad. I use a unity mount to move the light to the other side. The switch pad I have stuck to my forward grip. The gas can get gassy tho
@@ericcaton308 that's good. I have an SBR CMR 30 that is the worst of mine for gas on a can. I don't know why but gasses have never messed with me enough to pay attention to them

Could make a brass deflector and figure out a way to clamp it to the pic rail on top.
@@ericcaton308 mine with an srd556-qd runs great in a 10 inch barrel. I normally just use cc1 maximag 40gr. It's far from a combat gun but I've had maybe three hang-ups ever.
It's hard to imagine this being as good as my mp5k. The iorn sights on the mp5 are my favorite out of all PDW/SMG.

Good review. FYI, there is a 3-lug adapter available for the suppressor. As you noted, there are plenty of smaller optic and light options to keep the platform more compact. The 15-round flush magazine also seems like a good option to keep the mag from sticking out as far while holstered/carrying. It looks like a great platform for the scenarios you shared while also being a unique and interesting firearm.
...except you can't get through 2 mags without a jam =/

What a freaking timing^^ I just looked at some TP9's here in Switzerland and now this review from you, I guess I really need to buy one 😅😅 BTW B&T is offering a conversion kit for the TP9 suppressor, so that you can mount it on 3-Lug muzzles afterwards.

@@LIONTAMER3D I bought it last week, tested it today and it's not that bad to be honest. Quick double-taps are a bit difficult but I thought the trigger will be worse.

The Steyr TMP is my favorite SMG in CS ever since the inception of the game.
The back and forth, one handed, spray and pray is what for me... from the beginning shooting clips. 🤣👀👌
This gun is one of the coolest firearms I've ever seen
I hate it. It's a great gun, I just think it's ugly af. B&T is objectively one of the most Gucci manuf in the industry, so idk wtf they were thinking when they designed the aesthetics of the TP9. If you think this is kewl, go look at their APC series. No question as a PDW it's beast, it just fkn hideous. People have hated this thing for over a decade. There's entire forums dedicated to ugly the firearm is. Blown away at the swooning here. Lol, I've never encountered anyone that believed that TP9 was a kewl gun. This is crazy. If you ❤️ it get one. They're cheap and readily available.

I rewound that “run by” a few times. A top 5 intro.
B&T makes an adapter for the TP9/MP9/N suppressor that lets it adapt to any standard 3lug. This was done to allow it to be used on other B&T weapons like the GHM9, but lets it adapt to any standard 3lug. Also, they changed the end cap to reduce flash from the muzzle. The old TP9 suppressor had a flat end cap and more flash issues.
Also notable that the bullpup trigger (heavy trigger) was used because the MP9 was designed from the Steyr TMP first. The semi-auto TP9 was designed from the MP9 for the consumer market and they kept the trigger to keep the product as close to the MP9 as possible. The MP9 obviously uses a heavier bullpup trigger because it's select fire by default.
I love all the B&T firearms, they are pretty expensive but absolutely great. Loved this video, TP9 is really a good small-smg ;)

Nah since it was developed by steyr who later sold the design to b&t its pretty much expected - the Aug is one of the absolute worst bullpup rifled for lefties as well

I just got my APC9-K with the binary trigger & I love it. I really think B&T missed the mark with the SPC9 I don’t like the extra length the buffer tube adds. I really am not a fan of the AR style charging handle on the back and the big handguard just isn’t attractive to me. I understand why they made those changes but it’s just not for me personally. APC9 ftw 🙌🏼
No, they hit the mark perfectly. It was made for law enforcement agencies to train on an ar15 platform. Specifically for those agencies that do not have the availability of a rifle-rated backstop at a shooting range, and of course lower cost training.

Haha, glad you brought up the magwell flare (lack there of) a friend of mine has one of these and I’ve shot it A LOT and it might be the most difficult piece to reload I’ve ever encountered, it’s like there’s an opposing magnet on the bottom of the grip that just prevents you from getting a clean insert every single time.

Best 2ndary weapon ever in COD.. Modern Warfare 3 was so fun with this gun and extended mags!
It was the one secondary gun that I felt just as comfortable using as a primary... Many enemies slain with this^

That thing ripped in MW3. It was absolutely OP as a secondary. I would pair it with the MSR and go to town. I could easily move to different sniping locations on any map with this gun as my close range option.
