Just a heads up, McCann was not an overage player this past season. Players who are in their 20 year old seasons are considered "overage" players. Eg. Adam Tambellini (Calgary), Matt Rupert (London), Tim Bozon (Kootenay), etc. Players who turn 20 mid-season but with birthdays from Jan.1~Sep.15 are not considered overage players either. To be an overager, they either need to start the season as a 20 year old or turn 20 by December 31st of that year. Eg. Darnell Nurse turned 20 this past February, mid-season, but this is still technically his 19 year old season. Conversely, Adam Tambellini started the season as a 19 year old as well but turned 20 on November 1st and so he is in his 20 year old (overage) year. For this reason, Jared McCann will not be an overage player if he plays junior next season, as well.
