Roy is going to have a breakout season. He looked solid before his injury.
He did ! I really like him in the NHL. He deserves his spot.
Id give him a long audition on the 2nd line with Dach. His style fits with Kirby’s. Roy’s all around talent is way underrated.

Funny how a lot of people are mad because of Gally's contract but honnestly i see it as a reward for all those years he gave us is 110% on the ice (30 goal scorer at low salary) a guy we drafted. Now he's a good mentor for the yough , i think if healthy he can still give 15 goal and 15a in a season while showing how to be a proffessional to the yough core we got. I know he's not worth is contract but what i'm saying is it could be much worst.
I was all onboard for resigning Gally. I loved him as a player and think he deserved it. But his contract is not a problem because we are not competing. If we were contenders and we had 6.5 tied to him, I don't think we'd be very happy about it 😆
Love the video even if I don't agree with some of your opinions. E.G, Reinbacher. I would totally toss his last season in Kloten. The kid clearly made the team after a great camp and pre-season last year. He was our best D man playing with and against NHL'ers. He was INCREDIBLY disappointed to be sent back. And I don't blame him. It may be the only move by the current regime in regards to handling of prospects that I don't like. They should've let him wet his beak with a few games and sent him to Laval. Instead, they chose to send him to a horrible Kloten team with next to ZERO offense and overall talent. He quickly got hurt, and then was dicked around by the coach for most of the year. I see him as our clear #2. Hutson is fantastic, but his defense is and will continue to be a big problem. Reinbacher will shock ppl with his play and his offensive potential. Mark my words!

I obviously don't expect everyone to agree with my opinions and you make good points but I find it hard to erase a full season of development and only take the last 11 games into consideration. Even with less than perfect conditions.
But like you said, a number 2 is what I expect if he hits his ceiling. In the end, I think you like him a little more than I do even though I really like him but I think that the people who thought we were getting a Moritz Seider are in for a surprise.
As a Sabres fan I wasn't happy that Montreal drafted Hage. IMO, he was/is very underrated.
Demidov slafkovsky Suzuki. Dach Caulfield Newhook. Hage Roy Mesar. Beck Xhekaj Tuch. What a team we will have in 2 years.
I remember watching Hage play in the GTHL in his U16 draft year. He was a monster. Should have gone 2nd overall in that draft. Made right choice to play USHL. I think he has more upside than Dach to be a true start 2C.
I didn't see him back then but I knew he was top of the league with Porter Martone back in 2022.
Demidov might blow the lid off the 2024 draft class. Shades of Elias Petterson in 2017

Great videos. Thank you. I have the same concerns about Demidov and the potential for knee injuries. Kaprizov has been mentioned as an NHLer who has a comparable skating style and I'm not sure he has suffered any knee injuries to date.
Reinbacher went through a lot this season with this fan base and especially the environment in Kloten. If Reinbacher becomes even a Number 2 defender, thats a win in my books.Potentially helps Hutson reach his ceilling. Love the Vid!
If a #2 defender (which is what Hughes saw as his upside) then he might justify his draft ranking. Anything less and it's a bad pick especially if 3 to 5 of these guys in this 2024 draft turn into top pairing defensemen.

Might I suggest you work this summer on building "assets" for your channel? Graphical elements, diagrams and templates for charts. Stuff that you can use easily and quickly when things get busy for you. You could design new video formats too, prepare standard intro and outro scripts and graphic packages that you can reuse, etc. Basically elevate the finish and quality of your channel.
One video format that could be interesting to explore further could be tier list videos (rather than a top 10 for example). You could plan a few already and have the assets ready to go (ex: Tier Ranking of 2025 defensive prospects in Q3 of 2024, Q4 of 2024, etc.; Tier list of prospects in the LHMQ, Final pre-2025 draft tier list).
Otherwise, a good offseason type of video is a retrospective on past drafts. Where you ranked players, how they've played so far, and how'd you redraft in hindsight. Those are always fascinating and can be helpful to you personally as a way of understanding how you evaluate prospects and identify any blind spots you might have.
"prepare standard intro and outro" You could prerecord these and then insert them in videos. That way you can focus on the meat of your videos and turn them around quickly. Nothing fancy, just a 10-20 sec intro and then a outro that invites people to check out other videos that they might find relevant to the one they just watched.

Love your vid, but imo u are wrong about Demidov and Mitchkov ... Mitch is easily the most risky of the two.. Mitchkov plays a big 'ego game' and is known to often take plays into his own hand .. be it positive or negative... Demidov is known to want his teammate to succeed... he didnt beat the MHL points record because of goals... Demidov is the low risk, high reward.. mitchkov is the high risk ... really high reward.. but we will see.

If Reinbacher turns into anything close to Slavin that's a huge win for the Habs. Slavin is one of the most underrated defensemen in the league.

If Demidov does switch from the wing to become a center. Wouldn't that make him more valuable than Celibrini? Being the more valued position probably put Celibrini ahead of him by scouts.
Celebrini is a very complete center. That's why he's being compared to players like Toews and Crosby. He's also a significantly better skater and has put up elite production in the NCAA while being a June birthday.
At this stage in their development, there's nothing Demidov could have done to close the gap between him and Celebrini. Celebrini is just in another tier.
@bluechipprospect imagine with the comparisons between Crosby and Ovi. If Ovi had became a center. With the same scoring ability. He would have been a more complete player.

Obviously I disagree or I would've put him in the top 3 or before Huston but #3 or #4 is no big deal to me. I put them in a top 10 format only for CZcams. I personally rank every prospect pools in tier list and they're both in my 2nd tier.
I think Fowler and Reinbacher are both extremely talented at their respective positions but I gave the edge to Fowler because he seems to be more of a character guy.
I’m a habs fan, I say this from a home team perspective, our prospect pool is alright, we’re not crazy good, and most likely only a hand full of these players will actually reach there potential or close to it, there’s no gurentees these guys are gonna be good, and keep in mind, yea demidov seems to have all this talent and could be a great player, but teams passed on him, it’s not the same situation as mitchkov, there was not the Russian fear in taking demidov but he still dropped to 5, so I’m not saying he won’t be good, but Anaheim seems to believe senneke will be better then demidov, they took a forward at 3 and it was not demidov or lindstrom, 3 forwards went before demidov, just remember that I don’t want people getting to exited keep ur expectations reasonable
I agree with you that our prospect pool is good but nothing crazy. But mixed with what we already have at the NHL level in Caufield, Suzuki, Dach, Guhle, Slafkovsky ... It's looking positive.
The Russian factor is still very much a thing for the simple reason that you have to rely on the sole opinion of your Russian scouts if you have any. Nobody else in the organization can scout those players in Russia. For us, our director of scouting is Russian and worked for that organization.
Also, as far as I can remember, the Ducks basically never picked a player playing in Russia with either their first or second round pick. Their only high Russian pick was a player playing in the CHL.
Even Chicago offered their unprotected first for next year to Columbus to get back in front of MTL to pick Demidov but Columbus had the opportunity to build a top of the league center line with Fantilli and Lindstrom who are both extremely skilled and competitive. They wouldn't let that go and I fully understand why.
That's my point of view on why I think he fell to 5.
All 3 taken were play center. That makes a difference.
Mesar is not as good as ppl think. And he has a bad attitude, he will be traded
Honestly, I think I'm the only one who thinks he's good 😆 and when I say he's good, I mean it in the sense that I think he has bottom 6 potential with secondary offense. The guy didn't even crack the top 10 so he's definitely no superstar.
Everyone I talk to thinks he sucks, but I think he has good instincts, he's fast, he has some skills and he has a high end motor. There are tools for him to become an effective player a la Nils Höglander

Omg he hasn’t even played in the nhl and he is immediately a bust I’m guessing you said the same thing about Slaf I’ll bet you were on the Wright bandwagon. When popcorn becomes a great NHL defenseman you will be the first to jump on his bandwagon but see there is no room for people like you.
