This motorcar has enough raw appeal to possibly pull me away from my favorite Aston Martin, the vaunted Vanquish. The aerodynamics are just amazing, as is its sexy shape.... and that holds true from any angle you gaze upon it. Just absolutely marvelous cachet.

The hood soft closes like the doors do!
It's a production first ! The Koenigsegg Regera also has that tech (plus they can open remotely) for all its "doors" (front trunk, read hood and doors) but it hasn't started to hit the roads as far as i know.

I got my car (a black one) here in the UK on Jan 1st and have done about 600 miles having traded in my DB9 Virage.
the car is lovely and is so admired by everyone, the performance is effortless and smooth and the ergonomics so much better. I cant stand the odd moaner who go on about MB technology being used underneath - this is a financially shrewd move by a company who have to spend every £ very wisely so why not concentrate on styling and performance and co-operate on sat nav etc.
I met Andy Palmer who emphasised the care being taken to get everything right and saw my car being built all the guys a the factory were enthusiastic and proud of what they were doing nothing was too much trouble. So its lovely and a real good start to the second century plan

.....Ben you have made things so hard, DB11 or McLaren 570GGT....must admit I have a soft spot for the DB, as a younger farmer I had a David Brown tractor, a 885, had it many a year and never let me down, mind you David Brown in Australia had a nick name of "Dog Box" don't know why....

Great review as always, drop dead gorgeous is what I'll describe this car as. The exterior and interior is top notch, Aston Martin and Jaguar design the best automobiles in the industry.
That whip looks gorgeous!! And it has a V12. I'm normally not an Aston Martin family, but I'd definitely take a second look/drive with this DB11.

Another great review Ben. If you watch 'Harry's Garage' review of this he found a major problem for U.K. Roads. Those scoops behind the front wheels throw anything off the road up the side of the car. Mud etc. Plus the infotainment screen doesn't fold down like other Astons.

The DB 11 is a beautiful car as Aston Martin is known for, hopefully this pairing with Mercedes they will become even better and learn new things.
Ben, great walk around presentation, it was well spoken and very rhythmic without sounding too robotic, the only exterior element that you left out that I think is really neat is the soft close hood function, and the headlights, (also neat) but nice presentation. I would like to see more passion in the speaking, but not too much, just a tad bit more upbeat and exciting, but honestly man, good job.
Ben, Thank you for this, the DB11 is obvioulsy a very well produced car. However I would like to address my comments to you personally. I am an educated Australian who typically finds American car reviews very difficult to endure. Way to much shouting. To see a well dressed, well spoken gentleman speak with knowldege and respect about the vehicle he is presenting was very pleasent. The car was very classy. The presenter was just as classy. Thankyou.

Road debris is going to fly up into the front wheel wells & pepper the bodywork with stone chips.
There should definitely be some fine mesh in those vents.

Cannot believe I never knew what "DB" stood for. I think the DB11 looks better in a darker silver or grey, personally.
Great video, can I ask how tall you are and was it a comfortable fit for you? I'm 6'4".
about 6'0, there was still plenty of room in the car for those that are taller.

Nice car, great color, excellent review...Not a fan or the forged carbon fiber makes the cabin seem a bit cold looking, my Aston would be fitted with some lovely inviting wood.

I'm not too sure about channeling air from the wheel well out the side.Seems like everything would run down the side of the car.Black is definitely out of the question.Maybe they will offer a "dirt" color combo.

I believe the 2018 S63 AMG will have some updates; so let's wait a few months for that before we revisit.

Actually the Spectre wheels are the gloss black directional diamond turned 10 spokes. Same design but wrong colour.
Nice review. Just the driving part missing.
Quantum silver looks better than Skyfall silver. Personally I think dark colours suit the car with the silver pillars
Hello Ben. Do you think your brother John Wayne , the cowboy, 6'-5" and 260 pounds would be comfortable driving this car for a 7 or 8 hour trip. Is there enough leg, shoulder and head room, for Usain Bolt to fit in this British car..? Very nice video .... I hate the cheap and insufficient gauge cluster. Why so empty dashboard.... I'd hate driving this car in Houston in July without a water and oil temp. gauge .

Son, this car STILL hasn;'t grown on me. i don't know man...pass me a Vanquish in gunmetal, black interior and some beautiful silver rims and I am SOLD.

Thank you ;however, that is incorrect. This is forged carbon, it does not look like traditional carbon fiber. It's constructed using a paste of hundreds of thousands of fibers per square inch, mixed in a resin and then squeezed out. This allows the forged carbon to be formed in to literally any shape. The advantage to a forged carbon is that the fibers being stacked on top one of another in every direction allows the composite to be strong all around as opposed to a traditional carbon fiber which is strong in a particular direction.
It's a nice car, but I prefer the Bentley Continental GT. Still, this DB11 sets the bar high.

I gotta be honest is not my favorite Aston! Vanquish is the best!
I have this car on order. Vanquish is outdated and so is the Vantage series. Look at the chassis and infotainment systems to see what I mean. Even in comfort mode, Vantage is not comfortable enough. Astons are not meant to be racing cars and Aston says that and so, the Vanquish totally disproves the idea of the elegant, luxurious Grand Tourer.

Matt S I agree that the vanquish and vantage are outdated now, thats why the new one is coming very soon. I prefer the vantage but still congrats with your db11, ofcourse that car is amazing too!
Maybe! I do love the DB9's interior and the V12 Vantage's brutishness though.
In the skin... it's jaw-dropping attractive. The proportions are perfect, really special. Looks great on the move too, lots of presence.
