RE2 Remake is personally my favourite survival horror game I've ever played. I'm gonna see if I can get it for my bday because I think the figure looks very accurate and comes with a great amount of accessories!

You should get Leons desert eagle set from damtoys with it :). As for the body proportions, since Leon is a fictional heroic character, the characterdesigners in such cases often make the body height and proportions not realistic but heroic. In comics and games, the character designers make the height of a character 8 times the head. But if u would do a realistic study of anatomy or a drawing the head only fits 7 times in a body. So, 7 heads stacked on top of each other is realistic and 8 heads stacked on top of each other is used in character design in Comics and Videogames, etc. for a lot of heroic characters. So the body that is used is actually on model with the game compared to the shorter but more realistic body. Great review tho. Subscribed :)

That head stacking height vs body ratio is such a classic trick. I remember doing this in my drawing class, and still secretly do this with my 1/6 figures when no one's looking 😆 And you make a great point with that. Body proportions in video games tend to be more heroic than realistic. I was just talking about this with a friend regarding that VTS Toys Cloud figure. It's a little tall for a usual 1/6 figure, but the proportions are spot on. So in that sense, maybe the scale and exact height shouldn't be taken so seriously.
@@ElbearToys yeah i have noticed that about VTS Cloud too but his proportions are based on the older models and shape of cloud which is basically a anime/ cartoon character. If u have a Guts figure from Threezero you will also notice that proportional difference quite strongly. I prefer it that way. Some charcters are too iconic to be realistic. You wll not be disapointed with that desert eagle set btw, its a must have with leon ;)
@@mucknstrunz Never had the pleasure to own a ThreeZero Guts, but I know what you mean because I have the same sentiment from both the Band of the Hawk and Black Swordsman Guts by Medicom. Thanks again for letting me know about that Damtoys DE set!! I managed to snag the black one at MSRP. The silver one is inbound with the Ekuaz Studio Hunk. Very nice review! It will be perfect if it included Lighting Hawk aka Magnum. Even so, I love this figure pretty much and one of my favorite figure to date. I also have the 1/12 from Limtoys and love it so much as well.

Soon after I made this video, I found out that Damtoys did separately release the Lightning Hawk which came with its own ammo box in the same styles as the ones featured with this Leon. Now I just hope they'll get their stuff together and give us Claire too, perhaps with the chem launcher and some herbs 😁

Love that part about the modification! Do you think it could be swapped to a Damtoys 3.5 body no problem? My understanding is that Remake Leon is a 3.0 body and a 3.5 is more upgraded and has better movement.

Holy moly you are not kidding! Haven't checked on figure news for awhile because I was making another video. Then BAM...there it is, classic RE2 Leon AND CLAIRE. Though asking me isn't fair because I'd say they are totally worth it 😝 And that's especially because I've been wanting an official Claire figure for a long time now. I'll be getting them both for sure~

That would be an interesting idea! I'm they can both hold their own if they swapped universes 😆 Speaking of which, I believe Asmus Toys released a 1/6 Ash Williams not too long ago. He could make a fun duo on your display alongside Leon.

I just got this figure and I have to ask, has anybody else had a ridiculously difficult time getting his radio end piece to clip onto the fabric on his vest? Also currently unsure how to attach his knife sheath to his belt. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
There's a hook on the underside of the radio. I'd recommend that you first fit the longer end of that hook into one of the fabric straps on the vest (the one on the top). Just slip it in between the two straps. Once the hook is fully in the strap, tuck the smaller end of that hook into the lower strap (the one right above the RPD sign) by simply sliding it down. Then the radio should be somewhat secure between the two straps.
As for the knife, the holster should have two black fabric hooks on the back, which goes on the same belt that's already on the pants, so you might have to undo that belt and loop everything in again, but with the knife holster on the back of this time.

How do you put the knife holster at the back. I couldn’t figure it out.
There should be 2 black fabric loops on the back of the knife holster. I looped those through the belt (which you'll have to loop through both the holster and the pants in the proper order) in order to equip it like in the game.

would this kind of belt be sticky in the long run??
The velcro should retain its grip unless it's opened and closed excessively. I doubt you would take the belt on and off very often anyway.
So the next question is would the glue hold the velcro patches to the belt? The answer is no for me, at least not initially. Once it fell off, I had to use a VERY thin layer of super glue to stick the velcro patch back on the belt. It's been a year now and it's holding up really well.

So how tall is he in cm? I meant the figure
It's been awhile but I think this Leon's about 30cm to 31cm out of the box. I modded mine to be a bit shorter as you might have seen in the video, down to approximately 29cm. Hope that helps!

@@ElbearToys Yeah I knew! And I think the new Leon sculpt looks a bit better than this ver. The new Leon has a more proportionate hair to his head (not as puffy as this version, the hair puffiness kind of bothers me a lil bit).
