I just got this and the look is totally awesome and super true to the CGI, which is exactly what it is! Love it and hope one day DamToys makes a Chris Redfield!

If you want a “non permanent” solution to hold things in place try glue dots. I use them for tons of things from holding gun scopes in place to holding helmets in hands. They’re clear and just peel right off. Nice review! I was thinking about getting this but I agree that it’s pricy. Maybe I’ll snag a discount in the future. Cheers.

The thumbs up hand is for the flashlight. If you look at the protoype photos, its the one they use for that look.

Agree with all your observations. I bought a few parts loose from this figure but decided to pass on the complete figure. Great review brother.

This is a really frustrating figure!
I've been on the fence for this one ever since release; but the price vs what this figure includes is really hard to understand.
Is it because they are charging extra for the Resident Evil name? Or did the license for the brand cost them so much?
You look at other Damtoys military figures, those come with way more gear and really well done clothing for way less money.
Anyways, thank your for your video. Helps with the decision-making.

It really is. trust me I really like to LOVE the figure. I need to love it and not just like it for the price they are asking for.

Dude.. 4 minutes in and I have to say: if you think this is shoddily put together (based on your complaints) and lacking accessories at the price point I hope you never buy anything from Hot Toys.. 😂
This figure and how they put it together and then will all the accessories they give you this *easily* surpassed anything HT put out this year (which is mostly Disney crap)...
Agreed with the key holding hands but otherwise at this price point and with all the well done stuff they give you there is VERY little more that could have added.. Maybe a plant? If this was HT you would have been good to get a single gun.. Dam toys outdid themselves..

    • @optical20

I actually have a lot of hot toys. Yes the figure to me feels cheap, from belt the just falls off, knee pads to paint apps and the accessories are there but it just feels hollow, like they are there but will you really use the or they will stay in the box? Hot toys did Neo at a cheaper cost, the same year that this came out Alita, Hellboy and this year Pennywise who has a far better value in my opinion figure wise than this has to offer.

@@optical20 - I just got the Leon yesterday (watching you video compelled me a few days ago) and I came back to see if I agreed with you and your points are somewhat valid--but none of them (EXCEPT the key hiding hand) can't be fixed with a few dabs of glue.
Contrast that to HT: Their Ironman figures get less articulate every time and come with less and less accessories yet the prices keep going up. Factor in they are now hiding the battery on /off switch inside the battery panels so that you have to remove the battery panel every time you want to turn the lights on and these figures are an absolute mess.
Do you have any of the original DX lines? If you do then you recall that they did that Johnny Depp pirate figure he came with a ton of accessories. Contrast that to the new figures that they release at a significantly higher price point and they come with virtually nothing. Look at their Aquaman becomes a literally with his Trident. That's it. There are better third-party heads that are made that you can buy right now. Also factor in it doesn't even have a body inside the costume it's a skeleton that has a ratcheted articulation with will break very easily over time and this figure is absolutely irreparable. I bought two just cuz I inevitably know that one's going to break.
Their RE figures come with very little (granted they came out a while ago) and if you have the Chris now unless you kept him in the box or a T pose you have skin breaks or tears.
Sideshow is at least trying and they are doing figures that have multiple hands (with a peg in each one whereas HT give you 2. Maybe..) and colll accessories but they take forever (and HT takes twice as long as that).
Compared to new companies like SooSoo and Toys Era who are absolutely killing it with figures the last two years and Dam toys giving you this level of Quality and I strongly feel things are the best they have ever been for collectors..
So I don't mind dropping $250 on a figure that comes with over 13 accessories if I have to go thru an dab glue on a few parts: I did the elbo pads this morning and the belt yesterday and they are perfect now👍
Again- your video and its all good but just offering some perspective.. 👍
      Thanks

Not sure how I missed this review. As a HUGE Resident Evil fan, I have an opportunity to snag this figure from Sideshow right now with their free shipping, $25 off code and $50 rewards points I can throw in. With that said, I don't know what it is, but I don't know if I'm feelling this one from Damtoys... I WANT to love it but something, I can't put my finger on it, is still keeping me from getting it... 😞. For those who have it this in hand, is it worth it? Quality, value, etc?

    • @optical20

It’s the price. Honestly it’s not that bad. But it didn’t feel like hot toys, it’s more like a threezero but with hot toys price

@@optical20 ah, gotcha. I agree and think that is why I'm on the fence. Even with the $75+ dollars off the msrp price I'll still be around the $200 mark which I feel might be too much for this fig.. thanks for the reply Optical, much appreciated man🍻.
