If it was data center it likely had halon or some other fire system installed. This would have extinguish right away. These are not water. They extinguish the fire by quickly sucking all the oxygen out of the air or by dropping a powder. All data SHOULD ALWAYS be backed up to an offsite location or the cloud so the data it's likely just fine.
