- Quadrophenia is the sixth album by the English rock band The Who. Released on 19 October 1973, Quadrophenia is a double album, and the group's second rock opera. Its story involves social, musical, and psychological happenings from an English teenage perspective, set in London and Brighton in 1964 and 1965. The name is a variation on the incorrect popular usage of the medical diagnostic term schizophrenia as multiple personality disorder to reflect the four distinct personalities of Jimmy, the opera's protagonist-each said to represent the personality of one member of The Who. The title also referenced the Quadraphonic sound schemes then being introduced.
Tracks included:
05) THE PUNK AND THE GODFATHER
06) I'M ONE
Enjoy the Quad. series. Feel free to comment and rate, and even feedback about my series. Thanks! - Hudba
This music is soaked in to my very being. It has never left me. Pete told like it was and then set it to music. A masterpiece that will never have an equal.
John Entwistle was a monster play bass 🤘🤘👊👊
dig the bass- it is truly mindbending!!
i miss the ox and keith!!!
How good is John Entwistle's bass in 'The Punk' !

Immortal.
Awesome! TT2022 YHWH
greatest album they ever made, thanks for uploading it all.
Thanks for the lyrics ! Townshend at the hieght of his lyrical prowess .This and Who by Numbers...
Wow.....The Punk Meets the Godfather and I'm One on one post, wow... thanks a million friend!!!! Look, the Beatles and the Stones were okay and had some good songs BUT THE WHO had a different connection to something a bit beyond in our conscience. You Who fans know what i'm talking about. But for the rest of ya, when you hear that redundant question about "The Beatles or The Stones?," just answer THE WHO!!!!!!!! No apologies!!!!!
There are overtones of the earlier Tommy recording in this portion of the album, it seems to me. And beneath it all is a seething anger; a kind of teenage angst. And I enjoy it all very much. Keith Moon's frenetic drumming and the musical and emotional singing of both Roger Daltrey and Peter Townshend. Delightful!
This is truly rock and roll. I think the who was and is always going to be the best!!!
😊❤ Rock memorável🎉😅
Saw Entwistle play this in Paris. Love Keith Moon's drumming too. It sounds like he's running into a fight all the way through. Such fantastic songs, probably rock's most underrated album Tbh, From the sheer balls-out wall of punches that is 'The Real Me' to the reprisal of Jimmy's four themes during 'I've had enough', EVERY single note & rest belong. Cheers Jason.
Yeah, Entwistle really shines on this album - RIP Keith and John - perhaps the best rhythm section in R&R history
never heard the who's music before but now listening to some of the quadrophenia album..they kick ass..good shit
Best albun ever made!
Back in the day we burned a lot of rope riding around listening to quadrophenia, don't burn the rope anymore but it sounds just as good. 😀
I'm One is a gem!
The Tommy Boy album for The Who took the cake back in '67 but this took the icing in '73!!
Isn't it "watching the movies trying to find the villains" ?
Great angry young man music. Love to crank this album when I'm pissed or pissed off!
The Who were one of the driving forces behind the UK mod culture in the mid 1960s. They were never quite as influential after the death of Keith Moon in 1978 but by then the mod scene had been taken over by punk and heavy metal. This album as well the 1969 Tommy is all you really need to start a collection of Who classics.
incredible lyrics in this one
1976 Boston Garden I got in with a duplicate ticket. It was the best show I ever saw and Keith was alive.
Could never make out these lyrics. Wew glad i showed up to Who class. ...here comes the riff. And Moon- avalanch o bones, war shrapnel, spare bicycle spokes.
Brilliant
Before Quadrophenia I hadnt really noticed that the bass is actually an INSTRUMENT...
agreed. jason takes his time uploading this masterpiece. for my money, jason can write nursery rhymes. it dont matter. its the freaking who. its quadrophenia. ENJOY
epic f**king tune
It's no problem! :)
More on the way!
It just gets to show how intelligent Pete Townshend is. About gang warfare between the Mods and Rockers.
im the one is a GREAT song.
@JasonBonitati I just can thank you for giving the words. Lot better listening and reading on the video than listening to it and read the lyrics elsewhere! =)
I'm one 5:15
Nice recent buff shot of Rog there LOL! He's friggen twice my age , NOT fair !
Moon is definitely the best drummer of all time. Entwhistle is tied with McCartney for best bassist of all time. Both of them were so innovative with bass riffs and bass lines.
That is a really odd question from 3100. I believe it's a reference to Hooker's song that inspired Townshend. An inside joke, I guess. Keep up the solid work. You're bringing the past alive. "This is where it all ends."
Has anyone listened to this recently? 😳
🇬🇧 perfect, 🇬🇧🇬🇧👌👌👌👍👍❤️😍🤣
two very different songs. but they reach the same plateau
@3100merlin
Not trying to be rude or anything, but what the hell are you trying to ask? Lmao.
I'd be glad to answer, if I knew what it was you were asking :)

Just commenting cuz i'm tired of seeing the same comments for months.
Ok, so this is the 2nd time you've commented on my vids. What is your problem dude? If you don't like it, then get the fuck outta here. Realize I can't be 100% perfect and I'vequite improved over my first project, which was Tommy. And once again, this is coming from a person who can't even use proper English. Who are you to speak? All I am doing is doing my best to display the lyrics for the songs so people can understand them better and for them to follow along.
if you are not English why are you trying to write the Lyrics for these great songs when you are getting a lot of it wrong
again it is operation not what you have written
I matter
the stutter is referring to the my generation lyrics m m my g g generation imo
what???never??..good shit??...dood...this IS the shit
I was listening to this full volume with my headphones on and my mother came in and said "turn that rubbish off i can hear that from my bedroom" [me]-"BITCH PLEASE!!! and your music isn't, rap, soul, and club music full volume isn't. HYPOCRITES!!! (I think we knew who won that battle)
'The Punk and the Godfather' would be a great song if it wasn't for the annoying synth. its a good song, just not great.
