  • Quick pick from the dump. Unbelievable.... Old gas powered string trimmers and blowers are stacked like cord-wood at my dump. Everybody is going battery powered. Well, they will learn someday... when the battery craps out in a few years and a new one costs 100 bucks......or they don't make your battery anymore and you need to purchase another complete device AND a new battery. It only takes 10 minutes to clean a carb (like here) or replace with a new one for 20 bucks. This is a nice old Kioritz corporation-made Echo leaf blower. I compare it to my old RedMax Japanese blower....You can see the family resemblance!

You keep finding nearly perfect but used equipment at the disposal site. Glad you rescued it. Weird what people see as junk.

Thanks, Sir. Lots of 2-cycle machines there. A shame. Usually something simple to fix. Some are REALLY bad though.....but I have to keep my hobby manageable :) Thanks for checking it out! -C

Cool! This one seems fine. Just needed to clean the carb out. The fuel lines were even good still. Shame what people toss out. Thanks for watching! -C

Hey, thanks for checking out the vid! However I must respectfully disagree with your assessment on origin though. It clearly has "Made in Japan" stamped on the engine block, and "Kioritz Corporation" on the body. Kiroitz is (was) the Japanese manufacturer of this device at the time.
