Trash find Echo Leaf Blower repair

- I found this Echo PB 2100 in the trash. It has the usual issues from sitting, rotted fuel likes and primer bulb, rock hard gaskets, petroleum goo in the gas tank. With less than $20 in parts I bring it back to life. Rebuilds are not a bad idea but not necessary in situations like this. A cheap gasket kit and a good cleaning is all these carbs usually need. The rotted fuel lines are replaced with new Tygon F-4040-a. Regular Tygone will not hold up to the ethanol in modern fuels.

I found a pb200 in the trash 10 years ago, and with simple maintenance still runs like new today, infact I used it today.
Great little blower, I have the PB-201 which is essentially the same model. I believe mine is a 2006 model. It still starts on the first or second pull and runs like it did when it was new. The 21.2cc Echo engine might not make a ton of power, but with proper maintenance, they last a really long time.
Good looking out on the spray fuel into the cylinder to test without fuel lines or carb working. Helped me test before buying parts. Thank you.
Little prime for a good time. Excellent carb rebuild, think I have a older cheapie blower that will probably need new gaskets in the carb in the future as it seems to randomly lose fuel from the primer bulb. Interesting to hear about the hose spec I orderes from eBay 4 different yellow fuel line 5-6' long for $7-8 shipped. That and primer bulbs 10 for $1 something. Gotta love the cheap China stuff if you're a cheap guy.

Good repair video, I have a question I picked up a lesco lbh 2500 leaf blower. It's missing the whole recoil pullstart assembly. The bolts and the paws are there I believe. Would one of the echo recoil assembly's work on my lesco? Any info would be great thanks

@@pfun41 right, I'm gonna give it a try I'm going to try and source a used one. But they are only like 15 to 20 bucks online. I also thought I could just use a socket on my cordless drill and fire it up that way lol
My 2100 does not start after I fueld it up. When I shut it down it was sputtering as if it was running out of gas. Taking it apart, I am not getting gas into the bulb. It is in good condition. Repeated pumps get no gas. It is as if the carb itself has a blockage. I have cleaned every jet and needle and passage that I can find. If I disconnect the one fuel line after the pumps, gas will spurt from the line. I figure all is good with the primer system because of this. But no fuel is making it to the plug. It is bone dry.
Any ideas?
So it pumps fuel if you disconnect the return line?
@@pfun41 I have tried with each of the lines connected by itself. No fuel is pumped. Line with fuel filter on it feeds to angled connection point which is nit closest to or on same level as bulb in contrast to your video.
I have also replaced the bulb as a just in case. There were no cracks or holes but I did it anyway. Still NG. I placed lines according to the way I had them previously, cerified by a photo that I took before disassembly.
@@robertspenceley7170 Is sounds like lyou have a bad check valve in the primer portion. Sometimes you can replace just that piece.
@@pfun41 Is that something I can see? No valve was apparent as I cleaned that section.
