I laughed so much at this! Think my husband was embarrassed by my laughing out loud so much, best bit was Olivia Colmans speech to her dad just before the police van door closed on her…brilliant!!! The actress who played the police woman was also in black mirror she’s a brilliant actress xx love your content as always ❤️
Love Jessie Buckley in anything. Just watched this and we all enjoyed it. Helped by my dad losing it at several points along with most of the audience. Laughter is infectious 😄craving more Jessie now!
I loved this film ❤laughed so much 😂 the language was filthy! 😳 Jessie Buckley & Olivia Coleman were both superb ❤ very sad themes throughout too.
Watched this last weekend I absolutely loved it ❤ Olivia Coleman is fabulous, great review Mark and Nadia x❤

Women in Ireland had to live through hell .
I just loved this film and everyone gave a wonderful performance. I immediately sought out the real story after going to see it so very sad 😢
awards season??
I don't agree with your review about Jessie was brilliant she played it to true to life .
Hi guys sweeties 🌈🫂👋
I’m sure this actress was in killing Eve 🤷🏻♀️ x
It was so cleverly layered, brilliant commentary on masculine power domination, mental health, kindness & coping mechanisms, also very touching. This is actually one of the best performances i have seen from Olivia Coleman. But the whole cast were stella. Sometimes some british films have a slight cheesy trope to them, but this was punchy, smart, in your face but also nuanced. Just such a brilliant film. I have a huge Twee radar, and it didnt go off for me. Cracking!! And in my neck of the woods 🩵 🌊
Except it's impossible to properly do what you're describing when I'm reality 80% of the characters are just flat mustache twirling cartoons with zero redeeming qualities.
That's not meaningful commentary on anything accept the prejudice of the film's creative team.
Sometimes Mark you look to much into it as a film director on hiw you would make it . Which I understand coming from your background but the normal average person does not look at films indepth .
Agreed - but a lot of film lovers and film makers do like to look into films in more detail - it’s why we have film reviewers at all - and it’s why I think we compliment each other in this review. My take on these things is that many films can be made even better and more successfully than they are precisely for the “normal average person” - I’m always coming at things from the perspective of what works well and what doesn’t work quite so well - the joy of all films and art in general is that everyone is allowed to have a different response - ❤️❤️
This movie 🎥 review so my movie 🍿 sweetie 🌈🫂👋
