    Well at last I've actually taken the plunge and got Soapmaker3 (I've been doing everything on a pretty mega set of spreadsheets) So here I am on episode 1, to start working my way through, I'm pretty good at IT stuff but invaluable to get a good headstart from someone familiar with it - Thanks Tammy.

    I am in the process of setting up my soapmaker and am noticing that the calculations are very different from Soap Cal so I would love to see how you figure out what to enter into Soapmaker to make it work with another calculators recipe!

      We are also setting up SM3 after 6 years of being in business. We have always used soapcalc to formulate our recipes and am not a fan of the SM3 recipe printout. So much missing information. We feel like we will have to do a separate entry into SM3 (double the work) in order to keep track of our inventory. Is there a way to import the soapcalc recipe into SM3?

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  Před 3 lety +1

      To be honest, I still use soapcalc for my formulations. I’m just more comfortable with that calculator in terms of figuring out the fatty acid profile and the general qualities. I then just add those numbers into SM3 . I do then go by SM3s lye and water amount tho. It’s an extra step but I like it better.

      Four Wings, I don’t think there is a way to import from soapcalc. I really don’t mind the recipe print out from SM3, but I don’t keep it, I just write my notes on it and before I “make” the batch I put my written notes into the note field on the recipe card. It’s certainly not perfect tho

    We are in need of some guidance on how to enter our own recipes, especially the lye section?

      Hi James! That is a good idea for a video - I had to replace my mic and camera so I should be able to get back to these tutorials after Christmas.

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  Před 3 lety +1

      I don't want to say yes for sure, but I do know there are users from the UK and Canada - I hope thias helps! I'm going to add the Facebook page to the description box, I think you can join before purchasing.
